Im a Mopar guy but a 66 Biscayne L72 is my favorite car ever built by Chevy other than a 69 Camaro ZL-1 or maybe a 69 COPO Chevelle. I like the looks of the 66 Impala SS slightly better because of the fastback roofline but the stripped down L72 Biscayne's and Bel Air's were a bit lighter and a bit faster than an L72 Impala SS or Caprice. I'd rather have a Plain Jane looking car like this than a bright colored muscle car with stripes and spoilers. None of that shit makes a car any faster...it just draws more attention
I almost bought one like that back in the 80's in Virginia but bought 66 ss chevy ll 327 4spd 12 bolt instead but your car i hold in high regaurd very cool mate.
Thats my first car at 16yrs old back in1976. My cousin owned the shell. We made it roadworthy by rebuilding it from various chevy products from behind his barn. 327 from his Dad's 68 caprice. Quadrajet dual pump/feed carb. Muncie rock crusher. Dump truck clutch. Steel dashboard painted black and shag carpeting from carpet barn. I paid him $600 for it and sold it a couple years later for the same. What memories! Thank you so much!
Man thats gotta be a super rare car. I saw a 65 Impala SS convertible once with a factory 396/425 horse engine, a factory 4 speed, and a factory 4.11 posi rear and I think the guy said only 5 droptop Impala SS's were built with that drivetrain in 1965.

Such a sick car! RARE, fast, and an absolute blast to drive, that I'm sure. What's not to love!? Badass man
Bad manners on four wheels, a middle finger cruising the roads. Love it. Might build one myself one day. Love the stance.
Beautiful car - my all time favorite Chevy.

Love to see it on the road. My hats off to a sweet ride!
Damn, that was too short, wanted to see much more of it !
My uncle bought one brand new in 1966, his was an Impala SS convertible, L72 with M22 and 4.10 Posi. True L72's are rare.

Convertibles withcthe L72 are more rare.
A freind had an Impala with a magic 427. Mickey Thompson bought his engine and replaced it with one of his engines. It was a magic engine evidently.
I like every thing about your car.
