- HELLOOOOO~ I'm back with another Akayona video, this time with Hakuryuu's scale drama CD, which covers chapter 41 of the manga.
I'm a little late this month because my mental health had some up and downs & my laptop literally died 😂💔 But I hope you enjoy it!
I'm really happy because Zeno was included in the drama cd, even if he didn't appear in the manga chapter, GO ZENO GO 💛 That's why there are some original dialogues. I did my best to translate them but Kija's very formal way to speak is difficult to understand 😂💔

I like that we can enjoy the fan-service and still be conscious of what’s crossing the line. Love potion tropes have been around forever and its fun to see characters like Shin-ah chase that silly pervert but also heart-wrenching that Kija can’t have who he desires. Like you say it’s not a harem bc we recognize Yona is an adolescent that will make the choice, not be chosen :)
YESSSS With Akayona we have the best of both worlds. I'm glad the author recognizes how wrong the love potion trope can be for consent. Yoon is so woke 😂🔥 AND ABSOLUTELYYYY. The romance in Akayona is slow paced, beautiful and appropiated for a 16-year-old girl who has so many traumas and hurdles and can baaaarely pay attention to romantic stuff with everything that happens around her life XD I love that! Choose and not be chosen. Wise words.

I absolutly love how chill Yoon is in this chapter. The guys going nuts and he simply observes and takes notes ... I love him.
Also using this lovepotion thing in battle would be smart. I imagine it kind of like the "charm"-spell in Pokémon, where you wouldn´t get attacked anymore (and maybe your enemy would even fight for you and will hurt their own comrades).
I also find it hilarious how Zeno clinks himself out here because that´s definitely not something he wants to get involved in (...anymore?). It´s just too bothersome for this old man.
But actually ... that end (with the merchant revealing that they sell the scales) makes me think:
Ofc they mean no harm and the lovepotion thing is even meant to help people (with their love). But I can´t help but be reminded of Abi who was captured because people thought that drinking the blood of the four dragons would give them dragonpowers as well. So in a sense this is similar, because people believe that Kijas power is in these scales as well.
Waaaaiiii!! New Yona drama CD!! 😍😍 this bonus chapter of hakuryuu scale is so cute!! Kija is cool and cute!! He is so strong to even resist his own desire towards Yona...incredible! 😆

😮I sort of can't believe Jae Ha actually was planning on giving that to Yona! I thought he was kidding. A 25 year old drugging a 16 year old is not a good look (and still wouldn't be no matter the age, but it certainly doesn't help). Also, this chapter highlights why I don't feel any of the dragons should be with Yona. There's too much of a question over if it's their blood or their hearts falling in love with her. For sure, they care, but i just like that Hak has no potential reason besides just loving her
