I sang an English Cover of As You Like It / Eve! As You Like is based on a short story named "The Meeting of Myself", where a young man is confronted by future versions of himself who can not get along. In this song, these different versions of himself are after the same girl. I personally interpret these different "hims" to be the reflection of his heart and the different sides of it he doesn't fully understand and is afraid to share. However, the thought of his love ending up with a form of himself that is not fully true is unbearable. So in a way, the intervention and display of all of these different sides helps him to show his full character to the girl he loves. This ultimately helps him find acceptance with himself and by the girl.
As You Like It, by Shakespeare, also plays with mistaken identities leading to true love and understanding- hence the title of Eve's song!

OH I LOVE THIS COVER! The way that you are able to adapt the original lyrics without altering their meaning in any way and still make it sound as good as the original is extremely impressive! And I’m sure you’ve been told this many times, but your voice really suits for Eve covers, you sound so similar to him! 💚

To me I've always felt like this song is meant to represent a fear of missing out on life and not taking enough risks. The MC clearly has feelings for the girl, but either out of a lack of courage or feeling blocked by other things, he struggles to confess his love for her. The guy with the glove mask could either represent a real person who is the MC's "rival" and is also trying to get with the girl, or he's just a manifestation of the MC's hesitation and self-doubt. From the various imagery we see throughout the video, the MC seems to have a hard time expressing himself or showing his true side to other people. He shuts himself away at home, dislikes being forced into the spotlight, and often hides behind other identities to make himself appear more interesting.
While the ending is somewhat ambiguous, I think he does manage to eventually confess, and the girl reciprocates those feelings. The shot of the MC with his arm around glove guy could represent that he's "conquered" his insecurities. Maybe not get rid of them entirely, but he at least gets to a point where he stops letting fear hold him back.
One of my favorite songs just got even better now that I can relate to it in English fashion, thank you trickle my beloved. Wanted to let you know that the last bit actually jumpscared me. Guess I have to subscribe now.😔
