In 1976 I was 14 and I loved the Quest, it was one of my favorite shows. I wish they had made more than one season though, we were left hanging. Thanks for the great interview Tim and Rob!
And 1941 - with John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Robert Stack, Treat Williams, Ned Beatty, Murray Hamilton, Loraine Gary, Christopher Lee, Toshiro Mifune, Warren Oates, John Candy, Nancy Allen, Joe Flaherty, Dub Taylor, Slim Pickens, Elisha Cook Jr, Eddie Deezen with his dummy and many many more!
This was fantastic !! Thanks for sharing Kurt's speech at Bing's induction. So eloquently spoken and it certainly looks like Kurt enjoyed his time there. Tim has been a solid actor over the years. The Quest was short lived but really good. He was blessed with the role of a lifetime as Otter.
Have been a big Tim Mathewson fan for many , many years starting with Jonny Quest and still enjoy him to this day. This was a very interesting interview.
Thanks for a great interview and Kurt's speech at what I still call "The Cowboy Hall of Fame and Museum" which probably dates me quite a bit. I grew up about 75 miles from OKC and my dad first took me there in the 1950's when I could watch about 20 Westerns a week on TV, and I've been back several times now that I am retired in Tulsa. A great way to spend the day; visitors give yourself a lot of time and don't shortchange the experience. Tim's work with so many Hollywood greats is refreshing to hear and now hopefully he'll get another book out soon.
Thanks again Rob enjoy listening to these stories. Tim always seems a very natural actor. Really liked hearing Kurt Russell's speech for his dad Bing it looked like it came from the heart.
Tim is like Samuel L Jackson --- Hes been in EVERYTHING ever done.... I've been a fan since the Virginian and Rawhide myself and Animal House just WOW. And every TV show ever ! Loved Larry on burn notice till Fiona blew him up , lol. Never had opportunity to read his books but would like to. Great interview. Thankyou Rob . Outstanding, again, like always❤

It would be interesting to hear from both Tim and Kurt in the same interview, and also good to hear from both of them in their own interviews. I love what you share and look forward to more. Thank you so much!
Great interview with Tim, thank you, Rob! I was touched with the presentation of Kurt Russell acceptance of his Fathers award...he was so proud of him!! You keep going over the top with your interviews Tim Matheson one of my favorite actors in every movie that you're talking about that I've seen a million times I just I don't know I love hearing this stuff down the road even though I wonder what Tim thinks him being our age now and seeing yourself on film when he was just a kid😅😅 and that interview with Kurt Russell what are my all-time favorite actors I guess I never knew about or put it together his dad being one of the old Bonanza Cowboys that interview just blew me away that was worth watching absolutely great tidbits😅
This was a great interview. The 22 minutes went along so quickly. I am so glad to hear that none of these actors were a prima donna. They were just working actors trying to make a living and hoping it wouldn't be too long before their next acting job.
TIM MATHESON that is JONNY QUEST in his younger years and what I remember him best for, even though I didn't know what he really looked like till the later years of THE VIRGINIAN where he played Jim Horn in two-dozen episodes. Matheson is a good observer and has a great recall of those he worked with in his long career, and he keeps us riveted with his memories of those days... Although stardom eluded him as it does with most accomplished actors, he still delivered good performances right up till the present, in addition to directing and producing. His natural charm and sense of humor has served him well, and of course he gives a good WOW interview. In fact, over the years WORD ON WESTERNS has adapted to changing times very well, not least to the natural deaths of western actors, stunt people etc., and even their children... along with the Baby Boomer audience that grew up with WESTERNS. Rob has adapted to this by branching out into other movie genres like Saturday matinee serials, sci-fi movies and other HOLLYWOOD related topics. Added to that and most importantly is the personal touch not just with the guests but the fans as well!
I remember The Quest & remember being sad when it was cancelled. Bittersweet Kurt Russell accepting the honor on behalf of his dad, Bing. You can tell ge misses his mom & dad and was working hard to hold it together while speaking about them. Clem Foster's hat! Wow!
