( A few people have asked what camera was used to capture this. It's a Panasonic DC-TZ90EB-K)
I was there and it was fucking cool. Also, I learnt that a lot of people have £100 to spend on a ticket for a band that they know about 3 songs of.
I'm a big Metallica fan from Venezuela, I wish with all my heart to be at a concert of them but for now it's impossible, and i really feel frustrated reading that there are people who go and only know 3 songs, sad but true.
Finally someone tells the truth about Metallica concerts. I've been wondering my whole life why so many crowds look not that excited about seeing metallica live. I'm from Argentina and people here go fucking nuts in every song, it's hard for me to see european or american crowds not even move whe they play fast songs
Fuck man some people in this video isn't even smiling or expressing anything. It's a shame how a lot of real fans miss their shows because of some people who only know Nothing Else Matters and Enter Sandman
It's very sad, I'm only 17 years old and I've been a fan of Metallica for 2 years, but I can recognize each song from them, I heard their entire discography, I know I'm probably a recent fan, but what I'm saying is so sad that those people just go to their concerts to enjoy Nothing Else Matters and Enter Sandman like you said, but I don't lose hope of going for the first time and fulfill my dream of listening live to my favorite band.
I grew up listening to Metallica, "Kill'Em All" is still one of the most important records for me. I went to see Metallica in Warsaw, Poland in 1998. They played with Mercyful Fate, Monster Magnet and Apocalyptica. The tickets cost around 25 dollars. In 2010 I saw them again at the "Big Four" show. The tickets for the four bands (+ Behemoth) cost around 70 bucks. To see Metallica (without all the other cool bands) in 2018 I'd have to pay around 100 bucks and buy the tickets a year in advance. That is just becoming a little too much. So no, thanks. In 2 weeks I'm going to see Testament, Annihillator and Death Angel on one stage for 40 dollars. That's where my heart is now :)
you know its gonna be a fast tune when james busts out the white flying v , its his go to for the speedy songs, I'm pretty sure its the one he used back in the day too.... i wonder if it makes him feel powerful xD \M/
James Dean it's an Electra v a Gibson knock off it was the first guitar he ever owned it was used in kill em all half of ride the lightning and battery it broke at the headstock in 96 it got restored in 2007 and it was used in death magnetic a recordings
They play the best song on the album and the crowd stands still
i call bullshit on that
alak58 I disagree that they were too tired to go crazy. After I saw them live I came out more awake than when I came in
I was there. I could not believe how the crowd did not react to this song. We’ve been waiting ages for them to play it live. About half the crowd were seeing them for their first time (James earlier asked for a show of hands) so I don’t know if that was partly the reason. Not sure what the excuse was for the other half of the crowd though! One other possible reason was that, as great as it was hearing it live, it sounded a little more muted/quiet than the tracks just before it. BUT the gig in general was amazing and beautiful to look at. I’m still buzzing from it and just ordered this year’s Metallica Christmas jumper, as you do. Thanks for uploading.
No man, there were many moshpits and everything. It's just that the camera was close on them, and you cannot see the big crowd.
The person in front of me actually asked us to stop pushing 🤯
Damn Kirk had a total brainfart during some riffs
5:09 A confused Kirk! :D
xD it's his first time, you gotta be nice bout that :D
That was funny LOL
Fabian Umpierre Lol even I confused with that Riff when I tried playing it so I don't blame Kirk
lmfao that was hilarious
Fabian Umpierre You would think that by now he would know all the songs. I guess not
The only I'm very mad about is the fricking crowd, man this is the first time that they played SOTB, this song has so long waited worldwide and all these people are just there, doing nothing, all of them should be gone crazy and jumping and headbanging all over the place.
This song is awesome and for the first time is not that bad, if they keep practicing it; may be their last show with it, will rock and will rock hard.
kevin salazar yeah dude, I kinda think people don't know how to react yet. I can't wait for them to go to south America again, they are insane down there.
neychev fuck off mate you know nothing of British people.
As "The man" up here says, in South and Central America are "insane" so, until the very end they give everything and believe me when I tell that even if they get back and close with this song they will go crazy.
I know, Central and South America, some of the best crowds.
I saw the Big 4 first show in Sofia and I really liked the moshpits there.
This should have debuted in Copenhagen
'Bout damn time.
This "Special for you, "L'ondon"" at the end was fcking funny)
Man james is the only one that still kicks ass
Where's the mosh pit?....
"Kirk" and "timing" can't stand together in a phrase
I wanna apologise on behalf of London.. The WORST crowds imaginable, I went to the first night and people were just stood there! Come up north, Leeds would fucking slay!
Metal concerts these days are a joke...dead crowds on their stupid iphones....to record the live so you can put it on facebook and get your likes from your friend list you miss the whole point of the concert....and how can you listen to these tones and not headbang? What the fuck is wrong with you people?
I'm commenting a legendary video.
Either Lars really fucked up or it’s the audio. Can’t wait for the Metallica upload of this
It took almost a year for them to finally play SOTB, but I'm satisfied
It would be tough for metallica to debut that kind of song to that kind of crowd crowd is dead
Look at that crowd...oh wait,there isn't any crowd...xd
i like Rob's backing vocals, idk, i just like 'em, man
Totally man! He makes it sound so raw and heavy. Fuck those other people. I was hoping to hear it at the Edmonton show. Maybe next time. Peace dude.
here we a good gentleman Who likes good things
Right? He is good.I don't know what are people whining about.
Maybe it was cause his backing vocals most of the at least on live footage are barelt heard
no way... Newstead was way better
the Jason Newsted vocals here... Just imagine...
The crowd looking at Metallica like they’re the opening act???
I was at the previous show (22nd October) and if they played this then, the crowd would have done a better job. This crowd is so dead. ITS SPIT OUT THE BONE!!!
I wish James sang it all. not going back and forth with Robert.
yeah... or just get Newstead back and problem sovlved
Why many non-metallica fans come to the concert:
Seek and destroy
Master of puppets
Nothing else Matters
Enter sandman
They will never know the other songs
God damn it if only they played it in Edmonton I would've jumped from row seventy seven to the floor just to join the mosh
This honestly was a mess but who cares it's Metallica lol. At least they played the song
Get adunbee up there man
On the thumbnail Kirk looks like Dave Mustaine
bad try
ayıp ama bu
(bat dis is fakin bulşit)
Luckys they didn't play it in denver when i went
Where's the double bass Lars?
kkkkkkkkkk good question hahaha
BRO KIRK NAILED THAT SOLO LIKE A FUCKING BOSS HOLY SHIT KIRK BE MY DADDY 😤😤💦💦💦
mrgamer guy145 don't you look like him
Rob ruined all my hopes and dreams
Kirk finally learned his solo... but forgot the middle part...
The Scoreboy try to do better ...
Yeah what camera did you use man
kirk fucked up so bad at 5:06
Intro was a recording but still awesome.
no shit
I was there 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
OMG My bone is on!!!!
James sounds good
Genial
Ohuenno!
Perhaps if they cleaned the peanut butter off Rob's mic he could sing better...
People where wrong about Lars not being able to play spit out the bone
Nathan Zoellner he played so many parts incorrectly though lol
Nathan Zoellner the intro was a tape, so...
Stone Lee especially the last drum fill after Kirk solo it should be fast but he simplified it lmao i disappointed
Simplifying is better than just fucking up alltogether.
Xan exactly lmao how about that double bass?
Lars, quit taking the easy way out and play it as it is on the album. Having the drum recording at the beginning is just sad. It means you can’t do it
mcathawk your right . That is sad. I won't pay to see metallica live again. I'll just watch them here. I miss Jason's backing vocals rob can't do it. Jason could always fire the crowd up .Jason is very under rated.
rob sucks on vocals
Horrible performance and a lame crowd = FAIL
Shawn Kernen That's just, like, your opinion man.
