You don’t need a micro soldering iron to solder the port back onto the pcb. I’ve made a video soldering a usb port using a cheap $6 soldering iron. It’s actually pretty easy if you have flux.
I got an update with my ducky board! So I went on Kijiji (Similar to Craigslist), and found a person who had the skillset of performing micro soldering since it's not only the legs that needed to be soldered, but the tiny little pins (~10 pins within 0.5cm of space). The person did it for $25 CAD. I now have a working keyboard!
All you had too do was put it in the right spot and put the charger in it and when it glow up keep it in the spot and use a hot glue gun it will work 100%
I ended up finding a local tech who happens to have a micro solder to solder all the pins as well as the 4 legs for me for 25 CAD in Toronto. Not too bad.
Hey I’m in Toronto too with the same issue, is there any way you can help me out by linking me or giving me that guys listing so I can get myn fixed? That would be much appreciated
Hey man! No worries! Here's the link to the dude's Kijiji ad. You can mention you were referred by the guy with the Ducky keyboard about 2 months back. He'll know what to do. He charged me $25 for the repair which is reasonable imo. www.kijiji.ca/v-general-electronics/markham-york-region/soldering-job-circuit-board-assembly-10/1314442340?.pushbullet.android&
@@useless3361 I found my repair guy locally on Kijiji, a local classified. The guy does mainly soldering repairs so he understood when I told him I needed the USB-C socket to be micro soldered back on.
I bought my ducky 5 months ago , and never change big positions on the desk , and now it’s not working anymore ..... I send it back and get refund . Than I buy a Corsair K65 Rapidfire RGB for 100$ .... never ducky again

I've got the same issue. Unfortunately they didn't allow me to return it. I'm going to try to solder it this weekend.

@@robertreyes4243 Soldering it back on fixed it. I am never buying Ducky again, only 1 year warranty for their terrible products.
@@ebo8740 thanks for responding!
@@robertreyes4243 np. Did your usb-c port break as well?
@@ebo8740 yes… :( I’m going to try to solder it back on this weekend
Same issue just happened yesterday and it sucks never buying a ducky again
Same with me. Ducky’s suck
You think I could just solder all the pins together or do they need to be seperate
Definitely not. You'll need a micro solder to solder each individual pin as well as the legs.

I have the same problem, what did you do?
By any chance do you know what the model of the port might be? Im trying to fix my cousin's keyboard but he lost the type-c port.
I don't think there's a model # for the typeC port.
@@h33tology Ok, Thank You!

Keyboard is not bad at all. It's nice. I'd get it
if you are rough with your cable thats how it break its very strong but dont take it for granted
How did u get it open like that
There are screws in the keyboard that disconnect it from the base if u unscrew them, then it’s under the keyboard
