The Oaks were big time Country stars back in the early 70's, I believe, and are still out there touring today. This was one of their biggest hits. Tim's (the bass) is from Texas originally, so yea, he's got that Texas Twang. He's lives and works out of Nashville for the past 4-5 years now. Adam (the beat boxer) has been named "Best Beat Boxer Of The World Title" a couple of times in the past few years, and that's before he really honed his craft. Thank you, love your reactions.
"Elvira" is one of the Oak Ridge Boys signature songs. It was a #1 country hit in 1981 and has sold over 2 million units. It was also their biggest hit on the pop chart.
I loved this collab. As an 80's teenager, I remember the Oak Ridge Boys making this song a hit. I love that Home Free stood next to their musical Oak Ridge Boy counterpart and shared a great rendition of this song. My heart's on fire for Adam's beat boxing and Tim's low note!
Ah the Oak Ridge Boys. Now that is the real deal when it comes to country. There's some great songs in modern country, and there's loads of talent in it, but it's not like these guys. I'm so glad Home Free got to collab with them :) I think they share a lot of the same love for music, and one of the amazing things is that the Oaks' voices haven't really changed all that much. I grew up with my grandparents playing this era of country, so when I first heard Tim, I immediately thought Richard , their bass man.
Elvira was a smash hit for the Oakridge boys..I like that Home Free paid tribute to them in this video.. I think that one of the members of Voiceplay arranged this version ..which is pretty cool
Oak Ridge Boys have been around for many years and range in age from 71 to 76! I I just saw them live and they sound just as great now as they ever did !
Pentatonix also sang this when introducing a salute to the oak ridge boys on the country music awards. It’s not super long but worth checking out.The crowd loves it and it’s fun seeing them get appreciated by musicians of a different genre than theirs.
The Oaks are a classic Country group from the 70-80s. Check out their original version of Elvira. Other good tunes of theirs are Bobby Sue, American Made, Lucky Moon, and Y’all Come Back Saloon.
The Oaks made Elvira popular and it's kind of become "their" song. They all continue to sing this when they get together. Twice Home Free's version and once The Oaks version that I know of. It's pretty cool. I can't recall that low note, but think it's in one of the vocal range videos. Thanks! ^_^

Fun Fact: This arrangement was done for them by Geoff from VoicePlay.
If you want to hear more of Tim's singing as opposed to providing bass backup, I'd suggest Misty Mountains with he and Peter Holland.
Killing it!! 🔥🔥😍✌🏽👍🏼
Make sure you check out Adam's beat boxing solos. Unbelievable.
This was pretty much handing off the torch to the new generation to take over. Not much to add to what Karen already said. ♥
Not gonna lie. I love everyone voice in home free, but tim is probably the only one I would keep up with if they split. Maybe chance too
Yo bro could you check out Austin Brown of Home Free singing Bring him home by LM? He showed his phenomenal tenor voice in that 😊
If you enjoy country, here they are with another country legend, Kenny Rogers: ruclips.net/video/o4qNaAlZ1xc/видео.html
Have you listened to Home Free's Ring of Fire featuring Avi Kaplan?
Hey. Yes. I love it. Alot
The beat boxer might be better than PTX
