I kinda disagree, Shu Uchida is the best at speaking English (both conversational and at pretty high level too) as she is 'technically' advertising herself as a VTuber with a model and persona and everything, plus she could change voices on a whim too.
She had that one stream where the HoloEN girls sent her various English phrases and she pretty much instantly started working them into her vocabulary haha xD
she did once in the first stream, when wuggy is chasing her in the vents she said どこですか ?(Doko desuka? meaning where am I?, probably her's mind going on autopilot) because she got stuck on some of the game world but that was just one (technically 2 words) and she corrected really quickly, I got to be honest it is impressive that she managed to do that
I love ReGloss, but I didn't expect Ririka to be the one to be so dedicated to her English viewers so much. Between her English only streams and wanting to learn more English, she's definitely became one of my favourites.

It's surprising that a JP member puts so much effort into learning and even streaming in English. Granted English isn't Ririka's native language but compared to the rest of the JP members she could eventually become as fluent as the EN members and ID members who speak Japanese. Ririka isn't afraid to learn or to put in the effort to practice her English. The JP branch needs more members like her willing to learn like her.
Yes but no. The JP branch is catered to the JP audience. Would I want more members like her that's willing to learn EN faithfully to interact with KGNK. Definitely yes. Does the JP branch NEED more members like her. Likely not. As Ririka said, Don't get it twisted. The JP members know their market.
@@RazzySenseiwith sub growth post-Covid being a bit slower overall, appealing to the English market as well makes a lot of sense. I do think for her it’s also just a personal goal to try and become fluent in another language though, since her effort feels very genuine
Ririka’s english proficiency is so impressive to me! Her pronunciation and vocab is very good!! It always impresses me just as much as when Bae or Iris speak JP - as a learner there’s a lot of differences between the two languages which makes it difficult to grasp at times - I can only imagine what it’s like to go from JP > EN when a lot of our stuff makes even less logical sense 😂
If I didn't already know she was JP branch, I could have been fooled by this. Her English comes without any major accent, and without the broken grammar and odd word choices, if you told me she was EN, I would probably believe you
