Wow seeing Jan crying was just heartbreaking, he took that loss with class like a champ.
That was such a challenge to watch. This sport really is one of highs and rock bottoms
I remember watching Glover on embedded when he first moved to America to begin his quest for the UFC belt. He barely spoke a word of English. Now he's here many years later and belt around his waste. Congrats to the new champ!
Enough to make anyone cry 😢so proud of glover hard working man
2012: Made UFC debut at UFC 146.
2014: Fought first UFC title shot at UFC 172 against Jon Jones.
2021: And now 42 years old and wins UFC gold!!! What a journey!!!🇧🇷👑
@Mykhalio Beltrán true it just proves that Israel is leagues below
@Mykhalio Beltrán no, it proves size and weight matters.
@Mykhalio Beltrán Nah. No reason to think current Jones could be LHC over Jan and Glover. Maybe he'd beat Izzy but I'm not sure about that.
Jan is a class act man. Glover achieving the dream is so phenomenal to see for somebody thats in the twilight of his career. It's almost painful to see Jan fighting back the tears, it really sucks there has to be only 1 winner considering how respectful both of these guys are towards each other
Glover becoming Champion reminds me how good it felt watching Bisping win the belt. So happy for Glover!
A Lot of Respect for Glover! This Guy's on the Road for a such a long time!!! Incredible! He deserve It! Brazil 🇧🇷!!!
Even in his victory speech he’s giving props to DC for the inspiration. This is what MMA is about.
I'm really happy that a man like Glover became the champion especially after 20 plus years of being in the game.
Man.. what a story.. such a humble guy. Deserves everything .. congrats Glover.. it's your day.
Finally glad to see Glover win the belt, good man. Gotta appreciate this man for always being so nice and humble :-)
Epic accomplishment, especially at 42! Can’t believe Glover is a fellow Fairfield County CT resident
God bless Glover, what a kind man. Heartbroken for Jan, but he’s also a G.
Congratulations Glover. You deserve it.
Glover is such a fucking inspiration, I wanted it to happen so badly and it did. But the question looms… where does Kevin lee fit into all of this
Where is Kevin Lee nowadays? He seemed like he had real potential at one point... Especially when he fought Tony... And now?
Off his meds going looney
@Samuel Pan
It's a Chael Sonnen meme
@charlidior𖤐 where? Lol
@charlidior𖤐 send me the link plz
Valeu " Campeão " essa noite foi nossa.

Thanks to having seen so many UFC events I can now read your comment with a perfect brazilian accent without knowing portuguese
@@MaitreSpader 🤣🤣🤣🤣
To me I'm stunned that Jan lost but it goes to show anything can happen in a fight when you have 2 elite fighters going at it and Glover won at his game.
Shit is emotional. Dreams Come True.
Seeing Jan lose was heatbreaking but at same time I am super happy for Glover ! Much respect for both guys ! Very inspirational !
Glover is literally the definition of "age is just a number"
It sucks that one of these guys had to lose today but it was meant to be.
Well deserved Glover
Glover Teixeira is today's Randy Couture and Dan Henderson.
Only casuals doubted Glover, but hats off to Jan.
Bro people need to stop saying age is just a number lmao it just don’t sound right just say something like glover is the definition of never giving up 💀💀💀
He is a Legend and he made my day ❤
I had a really good day today carving pumpkins with my mom and my estranged brother I haven't seen in years. When I heard Glover got the dub it made my day almost perfect (it wasn't perfect perfect because I'm a houstonian and my 'stros lost) but still. I'm so happy for him. Good shit :)
Maybe they should try cheating again. It worked last time
@@ChazISfat every team cheats. We just got caught. Not saying it's acceptable but it is an intrinsic part of professional sports, especially baseball. You can hate them and even believe they didn't earn their championship if you'd like. That's fine. We can still be friends :)
I remember watching his first UFC fight years ago, so happy for this dude!!
Such an amazing story of resilience and determination. Good to see Glover climb that mountain and win the belt.
I can’t believe
Congrats glover well deserved
But I feel really bad for Jan
Hope he comes back stronger
@Mykhalio Beltrán I don’t think so Jan wasn’t in his best form tonight
It just proves jans average. To be choked out so easily, and tap in 1 second. Guess the no 30lbs weight advantage had an effect 😆
@@pube66 it just proves that you're a casual lol
@@pube66 total no respect stay in your casual zone.
@@mohammadsheibani5635 he had his chin up while throwing a flurry, thinking glover was just covering up. Then bam the left hook counter rocks him. I believe he couldn't accept the fact that glover just outclassed him on the feet. After that, Jan tries to get back at glover, but he gets taken down, so he tries to quickly get up forgetting about the most basic grappling rule: never give your back to your opponent. I think he did that either by ego or instinct. Either his ego couldn't let him accept the fact that a 42 year old man is dominating him, or he instinctually tried to avoid getting pounded on the ground and suffocating for the next 3 minutes.
Haven’t watched mma in a while. But it’s good to see glover get the belt he’s always been after
So happy for Glover!
Heart breaks for Jan. But they both got a piece. Love you guys
Congrats Glover! You derserve it!
Always an entertaining fighter, never avoided the best. An absolute killer. Well deserved Glover 💪🏼
Just amazing what glover did he's one of the last standing ogs and winning belts at the end of his career
This is a prime example of where experience and hours in the gym counts. Congratulations Glover!
What a journey man this makes my heart man
absolutely incredible , respect to glover and his family...what an achievment
As a wise man once said age is just a number, 20 years in the making. You deserve every bit of this Glover, congratulations man ❤️
Parabéns Teixeira vc merece ...GIGANTE 💪💪💪💪👏👏👏
So incredibly happy for Glover! Can’t think of a nicer guy and more deserving guy to become a champion.
This man is 42 YEARS OLD!!!!
there are not a lot of people on this earth that can do what he did , congratulations
Glover Teixeria 🎉🎉
We never stop growing til death, time and place for everything brother.
So beautiful how emotional DC got for seeing Glover becoming the LHW champ
What an incredible journey, so happy for Glover, this fight week was all him 🏆🤎
Holy shit. Proud moment as a Brazilian. Amazing journey! Congratulations Glover 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
This fight will go down in history, 42 year old Glover winning the title finally. What an awesome story book ending
This makes me wanna cry tears of joy, glover really deserved this
Brazilians are just a different breed of human. Amazing, inspiring, im getting back in the gym after this
Well deserved idol I've been waiting this moment for a long time
