One of the best sermons I’ve heard on the Potter & Clay. We should remember though that this scripture was directly referring to Israel & His work with the nation of Israel. God hasn’t & won’t discard His people (Israel) so as not to return to her ever. Even today He is moulding Israel to be a vessel fit for His original purpose that He had in mind for her. He’s set her aside, even put a pause on her formation & moulding, like you did in this video and began forming another piece, His Church (Jew & Gentile, one new man) and when that Church vessel is completed, He will go back & pick up Israel again, the original lump of clay, whom He’s set aside for a time (nearly 2,000y now) and put her back on the wheel & begin moulding her once again to do what He called her to do: which is to worship the one true God & be a light unto the nations. It will happen. We can however apply spiritual truth to a Christian’s life from the potter & clay example of Jeremiah 18 because we (the church) are spoken of as being earthen vessels too in 2 Corth 4:7 ‘But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.’ Great sermon, thanks for sharing.
