UPDATE: I started SEAL TEAM again.. 😒
seal team is meant for the people who really understand what it’s like to be in those types of teams/be related to those team members. It was made by tyler grey, who was in a tier one unit. It’s not meant to be “realistic” in the way most audience thinks realistic war movies and shows are, it’s meant to show what it’s like to have a life where being on one of these tier one teams is a priority over everything. Truly one of the best war on terror pieces of media there is.
if you don’t understand what a tier one sof unit is and does in real life, and if you don’t understand what it’s like to live with someone you love who is gone for 300 days out of a year, yes you’re not going to like it. It was made for the people that do understand what it’s like
I will say, after the first 5 episodes, it gets better, and after the first season, 6 gets good
Seal Team is great. Also "Full Metal" is a real navy seal and helped a lot with the choreography. "Trent" was also in the army. The show gets very dark in some episodes and honestly they are some of the best episodes.
@@fearme-rj5zz Lol Full metal was a delta operator
"Hold on. Is that captain price!?" And thats when I knew I NEEDED to watch this.
Watchhhh it!
It’s the same actor as price
Yes
This helped for his audition!
The fact that Barry Sloane in interviews and Streamily. Signings said History channel "dropped the ball" not renewing the show, shows how much fun he had with it.
Hell yes
This show is a true inspiration for the modern warfare 2019 game itself.
fun fact: Seal team is more accurate to real life in every way, one of the actors in the show is a former Delta Force operator (Tyler Grey) hes also a producer on it.
Not only that, several members in both the cast and the crew (including writers and producers) are former SEALs.
for real, it’s not made for civilians who think realistic war shows and movies is all about a “realistic looking gunfight”
Doesnt mean theyre good actors or directors to be able to portray real life. Seal team is utter trash made for big couch neckbeards
@@brian0057and 80% of the crew are veterans 😂 dude is TRIPPING 🤣
Your a navy seal?
I remember when I first saw Barry Sloane in SIX and I immediately thought “was that price?!”
VERY underrated series, wished they continued it :/
@@luluproductions07 definitely wish they did
The the about SIX is that it came pit at the same time a bunch of other military shows came out. SEAL Team was the dominant TV show and an interesting thing about SEAL Team is that each season their equipment gets more modernized.
It’s funny you say that six is a more realistic show because there’s a green beret that does reactions on his channel FNG academy. And he’s pointed out how situations and tactics or seal team are more realistic than six
I wouldn't know which one is more realistic tho cause I'm just some goofball on youtube but I'll check him out
Its because they have Tyler Grey on Seal Team who made sure it wasn't overtly unrealistic
@@Kriegter And later in the series they bring is a gentleman who provides realistic kit, which makes people like me (firearm autist) able to stand watching it.
@@OVRDTH I mean they did that from season 1 lol. The actor of Brock provided kit from Crye through out all of season 1 and I think a little bit of season 2.
Yeah but SEAL team is basically a soap opera. Shits hard to watch most of the time
Dude, you NEED to finish seal team. The show is literally directed by a delta operator and multiple delta and seals are in the show. Trust me, it gets really realistic in episode 6 and beyond. It's directed by former delta operator Tyler Gray who also plays Trent, Brock is played by a Justin Melnick who is a swat operator, and two future characters are played by a former delta operator Daniel briggs and former seal Edwin Mendoza Cruz. The show is so realistic that real operators like the show and it is honestly very good, you will really see what special operators really have to go through. Also, fun fact: the cast in both seal team and six had to actually go through some extensive training to actually be on the show.
Thanks, man. I didn't that. I may have to give it another shot
@@BranWolfYTbruh if you can watch six without pulling your eyes out and pour bleach in the wounds you can finish seal team. Seal team is why six got canceled why have a shitty seal show when you can have one made by seals and delta with proper gear good writing good storyline and character development…. But you can watch six a show of a bad dad who can’t stop banging broads a bad team leader who only got the role cause he voiced captain price and a psychopath who would never have been let in the teams get shot on a pier by a random American turned terriost? I literally just summed the entire six show in 2 sentences…. Oh my bad forgot the black Harvard student turned seal….😂 but you can’t watch seal team the show where the missions are based on real operations ran by devgru with actual devgru gear… fuck bro the team leader literally wears mark Owen’s helmet from the osama bin Laden raid captain phillips rescue and more it blows my mind how you can watch fake ass terrible six and not seal team… talk about brain rot
@@BranWolfYT you deff should
@@BranWolfYT bro you have too! You will see missions loosely based on real world ones. And it gets better each episode.
@@bigredoneguy I'm currently watching it
Funny part is SEAL Team is more realistic that SIX lol. You should’ve kept watching it 😂
Maybe one day
Kindly explain in which way Seal Team is more realistic than Six?
@@tyranno4692seal team has real life seals and other military in its cast for example david boreanaz was a master sergeant and Army sniper, serving in the Gulf War, Somalia and Kosovo which means the movement and way they operate is very real plus the episodes are also co written by real life serviceman and women so many of the episode are based on real life operations so that’s why I would imagine people say it’s more realistic. I would imagine six has some real life military influence in there to but I can only speak for ST
@@KeenanBask So you say that Seal Team is more realistic but you don’t know anything about Six? That kinda invalidates your point Imo.
Also one big point in Seal Team which puts me off evertime is the team size, especially raids and attack ops would never be done by just 5 guys. That’s a point which Six handled way better and I would argue more authentic or realistic if you wanna say.
@@tyranno4692 well it doesn’t no u asked why and I gave u a reason on why that other post may of said it personally idc about realism and I never said ST was more realistic but that would mostly likely be the reason on that other guys comment
Dude, I'm so glad you made a video on Six. My dad and I watched this show a while ago now, and we really enjoyed it and were gutted when we realised it was cancelled. Plus, it was a bit of a shock when I would later see Barry Sloane on the front of MW2019's cover and finding out he was to be the new Captain Price.
I will also play an advocate for Seal Team as the first episode I felt the same way as you, it just.... didn't feel right. However, about a year later, I found my dad still watching Seal Team, now in season 2, and I found myself sitting and watching a few episodes with him, and now we're waiting for the next season to arrive. It's still not as well crafted as Six, but it's a good show to watch and get into, especially since one of the cast is actually an ex-operator, and I think it is a supervisor of sorts for the show, I actually recently found this out.
I read that during the time I was making this video... I'm not opposed to giving it another shot I can imagine that it hates much better as it goes! ... thanks for watching and for the comment I'll let you know if I ever get into SEAL TEAM..
Yeah they canceled it cause it’s a horrible representation of any military unit let alone seals lol it’s almost like a toddler wrote the show and picked the props and costumes… literally the only accurate thing in 6 is maybe the helicopter they fly in on 🤢
@@CreateJDM 👶🏼
you should watch generation kill, it is an amazing show trust me.
Damn I just googled it and it looks amazing... thanks for the recommendation I'll check it out
@@BranWolfYTwow that's crazy to me that someone hasn't seen Generation Kill. It's genuinely a masterpiece. And has surprisingly good action scenes for a show not really about that.
@@BranWolfYT It’s hands down the most realistic portrayal of war in American media. I ended up just paying to watch it because I couldn’t find it on a streamer. And it was worth every penny. I plan to rewatch at least ten times before I die. Easily the best military show produced to date.
Is that Walton Goggins? Yeah, this is a must watch alright. I knew Sloane was from here, but not Goggins.
Definitely a must watch!
The Goul
Just wanted to say thank you for making this video. I was just scrolling through my home page on youtube and came across your video and decided to give the show a try, and I was extremely happy that I did because this show was a masterpiece and it irritates me that I will never get to see the way the show pans out after they left multiple things open ended.
You definitely convinced me to go find this show on Tubi. As a huge fan of Seal Team, I recommend giving it another shot. Something to note, it was a cable network show for the first few seasons so if it’s a bit cleaner than you like, it had standard production levels put into it. Tyler Grey really helped bring the show closer to real life as time went on.
Thanks for the insight. Yeah, I think I should maybe give it another go and then see if I enjoy it more
That part..
Sealteam is a good show and sucks that six died off
I think those actors really want to work on that show some more. I loved it dearly. And as for the CBS show SEAL Team, I heard in an interview that it gets better as production value increases for further seasons. I wouldn't fully discount it, but I'd watch another season of SIX immediately if it were to come out.
thx for the suggestion! Really enjoyed S01, except the last episode. Gonna watch S02.
this is "Over There" and/or "The Unit" shows that actually got me to join the service (Army). When i joined, SOCOM units were still a very hush-hush thing but I can only imagine 18 yr old me seeing this and wanting a piece of this.
I did the same thing with "SEAL Team" couldn't get past the first couple episodes. LOVED Terminal list.
Barry Sloane in the cast for SIX is just his resume for experience acting in a military special operations entertainment. First in series, now in video games.
I remember watching this show originally on the history channel when it came out. I was absolutely hooked on it!
Seal team is so good I finished it two days ago can’t wait for season 7
Funny enough, I feel about Six how you feel about Seal Team.
I couldn't get past the first 2 episodes of Six. It was too far fetched and too unrealistic for me. Coming from the military and working in a classified environment, Seal Team freaking nailed it and it's clear they have advisors on the show that worked in the same environment.
The moment David Boreanaz (pronounced bore-ree·aa·nuhz not "boraz") called the brass "cake eaters" I was sold. Things like placing your cell phones in a locker or container outside of the SCIF before entering a classified brief, the room clearing, the movement, the callouts... it's the most accurate depiction I've seen Hollywood crank out so far. Right there with Generation Kill.
I'll give Six a shot again, as the last season of Seal Team is about to air, but I highly recommend watching it again. It gets even BETTER after season 4, when it went exclusively to streaming and off network tv. Primarily because the language reflects how the military speaks much more accurately (yes, F bombs lol) and the violence is increased a bit as well. The season where they're battling the cartel is especially gritty, if that's what you're looking for.
@topojost thanks man I appreciate it and yeah I think I'll give SEAL team another go very soon!
Still waitin' for the season 3🥲...
I don't think it'll ever come
its over - it was so bad didnt get re-upped
Watch Seal Team highly recommend it
@@TheAiram I do - u know it’s good when a ranger gives tech advise. lol
SEAL Team is the best military TV show ever made. SIX wasn't even close.
Seal Team is a soap opera 😂😂
@@HAMASSPIGSit’s TV……every show is soap opera. This just so happens to have believable actors, quality tactics and equipment.
@@HAMASSPIGS Yeah a good military soap opera that has 7 seasons on its belt
You must be ten
@camsue76 lol shit actors max 10 min of action and the rest talking about their feelings
A homo fest is what it is lol 😆
Thank you so very much I agree with all of your views especially on the actors
Dude so glad you finally got around to it. My favorite show ever! Fun facts too! If you’re in the main menu and hover over multiplayer or spec ops tab in mw2019 you can see the actor for fish from SIX. Also Nolan from mw3 is the prince in SIX! I need a 3rd season…
Nooo way I'm gonna check that out to see my boy fish 😅🤣🤣 and yeah the Prince looked really familiar to me and then I put two and two together
Also, SEAL team really does get waaaaay better as the show goes on. The first episode drove me away too but the later episodes are far better. Plus of the actors on the team was a real life delta force operator for a short time
I used to watch this. But now I’m about to get back into it. 👌🏾
I always said that. Six is far better from any other military show. Finally somebody gave some light to this amazing series.
Seal Team > SIX
Great show! Sad to see it go!
you REALLY need to watch SEAL Team all the way through. It really is a good show. I and a lot of my friends didnt like it at first but as we kept watching it it just kept getting better and better.
Season 1 of Seal TEAM was really hard to get into. I really suggest you stick with it though, I would say starting Season 3 is when it got ridiculously good and is by far the most authentic when it comes to depicting modern day DEVGRU, to be honest what you felt about Season 1 in the first episode of Seal TEAM is exactly what I felt watching SIX and I never continued it past the 45 mins of the first episode.
I wasn’t so sure on watching the 2nd season until I saw what happened at the end of the first. Now I have to watch
You should Give Seal team another chance it’s actually really good
For sure I think I will
I had to wait for each episode in the History Channel...Loved it..
Sadly, they couldn't continue it ..
You should check out #61 Tyler Grey on The Shawn Ryan show RE your analysis on Seal Team. He's former delta and in addition to being an actor on the show had a heavy influence on the shows direction and authenticity. He freely admits that the missions and fighting would have got them killed irl 1000 times, but it's entertainment after all, and it's not intended to be a reenactment of actual ST6 missions
I will thank you I'm currently watching SEAL TEAM
Great show [SEALTEAM] btw K9Dita is my K9's half sister K9Dasy. SIX was also great but they weren't allowed to finish out their story line and giving them the axe way too soon ☹
i remember watching six when it released. bit sad how it ended as it was such a good show
Most people especially those from the SF community are the complete opposite. Seal Team show is hands down the most realistic the way the teammates are as well as tactically
I guess im the one case that first saw Captain Price in MW2019 and said "Hey thats Bear from SIX!"
I was in the same situation as you. I really wanted to watch it but I couldn’t find a streaming service I owned that had Six. Thanks for the info and I’m super excited to watch it. Also, I don’t know if you’ve watched it, but I recommend Hacksaw Ridge and 1917.
Thanks! And yes I've seen hacksaw ridge I haven't gotten around to finishing 1917 tho I will soon
Nice video man it’s such a shame that they cancel the show, I am looking forward to try to find and see SIX
Thank you.... and check out Tubi they should have it there!
im from oce and i can watch it on stan
Best evaluation of “Six” I’ve ever seen. I’ve watched both “Six” and “Seal Team” and Six is by far the better show, it bothered me that it only had two seasons.
Been watching this show for multiple seasons.
there needs to be a motion where the show gets renewed for a 3rd season, and have the plot basically follow a time jump after s2.
I remember watching the show when I was in sixth grade I wish they brought it back
The first time I watched SIX bro It was THAT good. Barry and Goggins knock It out of the park and I'm also feel like aside of Series like The Pacific, Band of Brothers and Generation Kill. It doesn't seem like some series take The Special Forces route that serious (Seal Team was very Meh to me tbh) but SIX took that route and nail It very well.
Greta narration as always bro!
Thank you and yeah I agree idk SEAL TEAM didn't seem that serious your right...
added to the list
Im watching ts rn thank you i was wondering the same thing, sad they stopped making episodes tho, i like benge watching shows and this would be a good show to benge
One of the best Navy SEAL shows I've ever seen in my life! I would totally recommend it to anyone!
They canceled the show, the reason why it was canceled is because the people who made it where showing schools(shirts/names) , places and some areas that actual military families would go to which would really make it a target to those families of the operators and actual military.
I remember it being canceled for the same reason. They were showing too much.
When tha hell did They Make Stories Like this?!?!?! (Rip is Truely Rip now damn...)
Back in 2017🥲
Nah seal team is the best military show
Haha, now I feel old. I worked on this show, strike back series, walking dead, etc haha. Blast from the past!
That's awesome!
Seal Team gets a lot closer to Six around Season 5 or 6 (huh, coincidence?) when Paramount+ picked it up and they got to be a little more dark and gritty then regular network TV.
You and I have the same thoughts. This show was amazing and should have stuck around.
You should check out a 1 season show that aired on NBC called The E-Ring. Pretty good thru the whole season. Benjamin Bratt ran a special ops team out of the Pentagon, ran it from the E-Ring.
seal team was made for vets and angel from buffy does a phenomenal job as a team leader. there are multiple ex devgru and cag dudes in the cast and one of the producers is ex sfod d
i guess i can see why a civilian doesn't like it but for vets it's one of the few shows that actually respects the military. we're constantly pointing out shit like "oh fuck they actually got that right"
you can watch 2 ex oda operators review on fng along with ex cag grey who makes appearances on the reviews
seal team is literally the best special forces series you can watch
couldnt agree more with this title
btw every special ops guy I've talked to says that seal team is more realistic and they don't like six because of a loot of issues
amazing navy seal show watched both seasons
Love this show, mad it never got finished.
I gotta watch this show now! Also have you seen the HBO series Generation Kill? It’s so good
No I got it recommended though I'll watch that one very soon
Mitch Hall (former DEV group and NSW (Ret.) was the tactical advisor, and contributed to some solid writing and plot lines on this show... and his gear/kit building asset for the show (MIL industry support legend, Big Mike) did some great work here.
Mitch's goal for the show as He was involved in creating/pitching the show (his sphere of influence was limited during the making of it, so what he felt was best in some scenes and plot lines, did not always win out) was to ensure it was as respectful to team guy accuracy as possible.
When some things began to fall off in some aspects... it was (as usual in hollywood) budgets got limited... timelines got crunched. Etc. But it delivered on some real good work in many examples.
Mitch also worked on the UBL takedown scene in Zero Dark 30 (one of his inputs was that the guys entering the compound for the hit, was that the team should fumble up a little bit like the keystone cops...because real life is not hollywood... some times guys bump into each other moving on an Op, lets show a few mistakes here... real life is rarely flawless.)
He was also lead advisor on Call Of Duty for a couple of years after he retired, which was circa ten'ish years ago. Anyway, he's a good dude.
Solid post BranWolf.
Thank you for the extra insight its incrdibly cool to know.
Great show. History channel dropped the ball on this show.
Six season 2 ending such a cliffhanger.
Am super sad that thier is no season 3 yet.
I saw this during COVID maybe 2020 or 2021
Seat Team was legit and most accurate in tactics and logistics. Their K9 guy is a real LEO K9 officer and then Tyler Grey & Mark Semos are legit operators.
Simply Amazing Show, I binge watched it. It was taken off the air due to its rival Seal Team 6.
ThIs show was fire I was watching this in 2021 at work it was pretty good
Love this show! And there's another series that you should watch, Seal Team. Anyway, I wish they continue Six and we need a solid ending on how they will take down Nasry for good.
For sure I may have to try seal team again
I watched this show and honestly didn’t think much of it at the time, generic and very unrealistic. But then again it’s hard to stack up to SEAL team when they had real operators making the show. Maybe I’ll give it another watch!
Awesome show. Six is great
"bravo 6 down"
Dude on the first ep of SEAL TEAM I was like “this is so corny” a buddy of mine highly highly recommended it and thankfully I pushed through cuz now I really love it. The lead character’s acting can be kind of forced at times and Sunny plays into the good ol boy role too much but I ended up really liking it and now I look forward to the final season. Boutta go get on Tubi and watch this in the mean time lol
I'm watching it rn and it's gotten quite better lol
Great show.
There 100% needs to be an adaptation of the rainbow 6 book done like this
This was an excellent series. I cannot fathom why they cancelled it. Great cast. I think I caught it on Netflix. I only caught one season. Did not know there were more.
Yeah there's one more season you could watch it on Tubi!
This was one of the better military shows and a shame it didn't continue.
It was a Great Show and it a SHAME it was Cancelled! I keep hoping that Netflix might bring it back!
Thank you. I thought I was the only one…
I actually loved SIX. I was fortunate to watch this show when it aired on History Channel. I think the reason why this show got axed bc CBS was copying the idea of having a Navy SEAL drama show and History didn't have the viewership of CBS. I haven't watched SEAL Team yet (only watched clips via YT) but SIX does hold a special place bc of he action, the actors and the story we're top notch IMO.
Yeah ive been watching SEAL TEAM and the structure of it is very different its definetly good but it reminds me of the Law and Order series, it seems to take that approach in story telling.
DUDE! SIX is top tier!
so good, wish they kept it going.
I watched it, twice, and I bought it. Too bad there isn't a third season. It left on such a cliffhanger.
Man captain price and the ghoul damn
Actually I knew about this show and watched it... but hey I do recommend it to everyone who didn't watch it yet.
I used to love this show
The alternate history where price was born in the states
I will say; If you're remotely interested in National Geo docu shows and a fan of shows like COPS, check out Alaska State Troopers.
Planning to check out this show in the coming few days.
Thanks for the recommendation I do like cops 😂
It’s on Tubi literally right now actually. June 26, 2024.
I actually watched this show before MW 2019 and was hyped as fuck when Barry Sloane was picked for Captain Price in the reboot.
only 2 seasons of this was criminal tbh
This was a great show! I Bought both seasons.
I don’t know how you missed Six on Hulu, but it’s been on there for a while, cus I watched it both seasons on there.
I wish they would pick it up and continue the series
Just started watching, what did they mean when they said rips strings are vibrating?
SEAL Team is great. Former delta operator Tyler gray has a lot of say in the cqb and interactions and is even an actor
i fecking love six
I was so pissed when it got canceled.
