    Yes I agree, it was the worst part of the whole project. But its quick just two little burrs right where the block joins. Now that its over it wasn't that hard. My Dermal made quick work of it. You may need to contact them. I don't know if I can find who I was working with. But he sent me the larger Cam chain. He told me I had two to choose from. Scott...Just like you I did a lot of research, what it came down to is two things that meant everything to me. 1). I know this engine, I know it runs forever. I didn't want to change the whole thing because I wanted more power. 2). What makes these Motorcycle so valuable is it's originality, change that & what do you really have. This upgrade that I did, well it took so much more time because I looked for parts that would allow me to keep all that I could on my Passport.

    I bought that kit for my honda c 70 it is stronger but not that much all you can get with this kit is about 15 mph firm

      I agree, honestly these bikes get a little squirrelly after 50mph. So I'm fine with my top speed on level ground of 53mph.

    Is there a kit to make a stock engine just a SUPER stock engine? Not increase CC's or anything where you have to change bolts. Just a "replace the old parts with all the new parts in the kit" and your C70 will run for 20,000 miles easy parts kit! That a thing?

    Hey so how did this end up year or so down the road? Still running strong? Thinking of upgrading my 82 (all stock and hits about 45). Any chance you have links to the items your purchased? I can only find up to an 88CC kit :(

    • @HavocSun
      @HavocSun  6 лет назад

      It still runs strong, adds about 10mph top speed improvement (55mph on level ground). Lost gas mileage, she gets about 70mpg now. Unfortunately I lost all the links when RUclips updated.

    I bought a 125cc kit would this work on my c70? And would I have to shave anything to accommodate the bigger piston?

    • @HavocSun
      @HavocSun  5 лет назад +1

      You won't know until you try to drop the cylinder on to the lower end. If it binds at all when you try to lock down the head bolts, yes then some adjustments may need to be made.

    where's that parts list you were talking about? I have an 81 and would like to keep mine looking stock.

      I use to have links to the price list & where to buy embedded in (Part 2). But they are gone now. I do not know what happened to them. I really need to clean these video's up & edit them down anyway. I will have to go back to my records to find the vendors. Check back in a few weeks I should have it all done by then.

    Do you remember where you got the intake manifold or carburetor. All I can find on 2fast Moto is a 19mm or 22mm carburetor and a 25 mm intake manifold.

      I use to have all the links in my video, but when RUclips updated video editing all my links were lost. I have to try and recreate the links.

    Do you know if the 110cc engine is a drop in fit for the Passport?

    • @HavocSun
      @HavocSun  5 лет назад +1

      I dont think so, the 100cc was such a tight fit.

    I was wondering if you ever got this running and how the upgrade turned out?

    • @HavocSun
      @HavocSun  7 лет назад

      Yes I did, I have been a little busy with new projects. I will be making a final video on this upgrade very soon. But for now I can tell you I had many mistakes, if you watch all the videos in the series you will see all but one. The Cam chain, i did order a larger one. But it was not large enough and while I was breaking the engine in at low RPM the chain snapped & bent a valve. So I had to order a even larger Cam chain. And of course I replaced the bent valve. During final break in the engine exceeded my expectations, her top speed is faster. She tops out at about 58MPH now. Its her cruising & hill climbing speed that just made my day! She cruises at a solid 45mph and no less than 39mph on any normal grade. Never below 34mph on steep grades. The only downside is she no longer gets 115 miles to a gallon. A full tank of gas (One Gallon) will give me about 85 miles now.

    • @BentRim
      @BentRim 7 лет назад +1

      Yes, I watched all of your videos. I'm in the research phase and came across your videos. What length chain did you end up going with? Im a big guy too and my 81 could use a boost going up the hills for sure. Thanks for sharing.

    • @HavocSun
      @HavocSun  7 лет назад +1

      I have to pull out my notes on all of this, give me a few days to do that. I am in the middle of a new project now. I can tell you 2 Fast Moto had two sizes. Both larger then the stock size of my Cam chain. I picked the next size up. It was to small, so go with the largest of the two Cam Chains 2 Fast Moto has for this kit.

    • @BentRim
      @BentRim 7 лет назад +1

      Sounds good. I've been to their site and found the kit. Have been unable to locate cam chains on their site though. I'm also on the yahoo group if you would rather post there. I'll continue to research but this upgrade is relatively cheap. A little concerned about grinding on the block to get it to fit...
