Dont underestimate the input of Richard Barbieri to the atmosphere in PTs tracks, sure SW writes everything but the other guys input to its development and Richard is a master of creating atmosphere through his keys that can envelope you in tension or calm.
So glad that you posted this, please consider doing some of the others in a similar format. We all know in advance that you will love it and it releases you to be able to listen to full albums in your own time which is the best way to appreciate both PT and SWs solo work.
Hey bro thanks for watching glad you enjoyed it 😀 I will be doing more like this for sure. It's worked out well and everyone seems to appreciate the longer form content to actually sit and listen to the music and just chill. I'm glad y'all have responded well to it. Y'all are the best. Who would have thought we would still be doing PT reactions almost a year later lol I love them
If you haven't done so already, you'll probably enjoy Steven Wilson's solo releases. I'd recommend the studio version of Home Invasion/Regret #9 (it's two separate pieces that join together into a seamless whole)
La première fois que j'ai entendu du Porcupine Tree, c'était sur un poste de radio américain et ce fut un coup de foudre instantané. C'était l'album The Incident . Comme on dit chez nous,,,, ça sonne comme une tonne de brique
Dude that's crazy I didn't even think of that comparison... It's very apt 😃 i really like some of the pumpkins stuff but some of it just isn't for me. I'm glad you enjoyed the video 😁
Side A of this album is some of my absolute favourite work by Porcupine Tree. Side B still has some highlights aswell and interesting ideas, also its very chill, but to me in total does not quite reach the level of Side A. It is still great, though.
well it got blocked :( i will upload it to my patreon and you'll have to watch it on there or rumble. sorry bro :( sucks putting in all that work and it just gets blocked. and to make things worse, the appeal system method i had to use for the videos can take up to 30 days. when its usually 2. so i dont know whats up with that.
Rewatched this today when I was in bad mood. This helped me a lot. Always a great pleasure to share this experience :)

Dude his work on anesthetize brought me to tears. He is so talented. His soundscapes are massive and engrossing.
Absolutely spot on..!
Gavin is definitely one of the best drummers on the planet.
He really is. So damn talented. And he makes it look easy 🤣
This whole album is a freaking trip. Im glad you enjoyed it. Steven Wilson is an absolute wizard as a producer too. His mixing is on another level.
Thanks for watching bro! Yeah I did the whole album and WOW. Steven is the man.
that was Adrian belew from king crimson doing the guitar solo on the first track deadwing
That's so awesome I had no idea. I could kinda tell it was something or someone different because it was so different sounding for them

I wish I could hear this album for the first time again! One of my all time favourite albums.
Dude it's so good. I love PT and this really feels like them at the top of their game.
Listening. Again. This is an _Essential_ album; accept no substitute!

Essential listening! ....audio quality seems improved too... :)
Reminds me so much of The Smashing Pumpkins in places. Everything you said is spot on.
Dude that's crazy I didn't even think of that comparison... It's very apt 😃 i really like some of the pumpkins stuff but some of it just isn't for me. I'm glad you enjoyed the video 😁
steven wilson says the song shallow was a song written because the record company wanted a radio style hit- he doesn't like it lol
Ahhh so that's why it sounded like Chevelle lol I still dig it though 👌🤠
hey, cool to yee this here on YT now? any plans for part2 ? :)
Yeah it was up after a day or two. Yup I will be doing it this week 😀
The live version of Arriving Somewhere from the Chicago DVD is so much better than the studio version. 😄…..
and also the start of something beautiful
Like Yes...PT live is better than studio.
I hope I was not too annoying with my requests for this one
Oh no not at all bro. I’m sorry it took so long. The first part was amazing like you said 😎🤘

I did the first 5 tracks on this video. Part 2 will come out next week. I hope you enjoy!
