- After the small sail repair marathon, Karl and me headded back up to Fronteras because I had to go up to Guatemala city to meet Maria who came to visit for some days.
We sailed across the Lago Izabal to a little remote Bay and went for an amazing Kajak trip up and down the Rio Palochic which was accompanied by a howler monkey soundtrack.
Ahoy, Nike & Karl

This is NOT a live documentary! There is a time difference between filming and publishing due to the time it takes to edit and to internet not always being awailable on those little remote palm tree islands :).

3:11 the perfect photograph!! Another great video, Nike !
Wonderful images. Gently mood. And just a bit of weather tension. Well done.
Thanks for another great video. I really enjoyed it.
The beauty of the boat, the water, the sky, the landscape, and yourself are a joy to see. The Uniform Motion music adds the perfect finishing touch.
Smooth Sailing
We loved your music choices on this video - sweet! You have a beautiful way of catching the moment with your camera.
Thanks for sharing your adventures. It's always a joy to get up on Saturday with a cup of coffee and watch your video.
Great video Nike. The more I see of those Kayaks the more I agree with you. That does seem the way to go to get around. I am really loving your confidence now. Your a long way from where you started.
I can imagine the the first Europeans walking through the jungle and hearing the Howlers in the distance. I bet it was terrifying. Fun video Nike. Rock on!
Another great video. Always looking forward to a new episode. And a fantastic rainbow at the end. 8:27
That Maria .... wow what a friend you have. She is very handy and extremely generous with you. This is exemplary...!
Good to see you are allright... Thanks for sharing.
Gorgeous scenery!
Lovely tropical climate memories. Thank you.
I like your videos. They are so close to the reality. Great perspective! :-)
Very well done. I love 'beach bum forever'. You have given me yet another tune. Thank you!
Hey +clayjustsayin, it's a great shirt, hey? I'm a brand ambassador for that brand that makes them. They have some other really neat ones as well. You can check them out here: www.noandyo.com/.
Ahoy, Nike & Karl
Very nice! Those storms in the background looked crazy. Great work on the night anchoring. :)
Just spent the last week watching all your old vids and "catching up" really admire your courage, determination and "do it yourself" attitude. Wife and I hope to retire in about 4 yrs and live our dream of sailing the carribbean, maybe we will cross paths. May your winds be crisp and your waters calm :)
Well done Nike, I love the way you refit & sail at the same time. Can't wait to get my boat back in the water.
Hey +Wake for Me, yeah, I try to do it if I can, but sometimes it's tricky to move inbetween projects. But it helps a lot to keep up the spirit :)
Ahoy, Nike & Karl
Loved the video and the music always top shelf.
Wonderful content and nice editing. Real sailing with a gem of a boat. Beats plastic floating RV's. Fair winds Nike and Karl :-)
You are doing good. Different videos than others.. Nice. "LIFE IS A CLIMB, BUT VIEW IS GREAT."
Niki you are a beautiful women. Your spirit of adventure and strength inspire so many of us who follow you on your adventure. THANK YOU
Nice video. The best so far.
good luck on the future .
very beautiful
Nice video! I like what you are doing.
Muss doch mal gesagt werden. Du hast es einfach drauf, wie unterhaltsame Videoclips gemacht werden. Daumen hoch.
Glad to see you're getting rid of the gloomy dark colors inside Karl in favor of white. Amazing weather front. Again the kayaking looks like great fun.
Love your videos; what an inspiration you are!
Sails look really good!
Great video thank you..
Very nice!
Looks like a really nice place.
FantabulouS...
I always love your videos. You make me wish I was there.
NICE one. Thanks for sharing.
Happy to see more videos. :)
Nice video. Thank you.
Really well made video! Good to see you with full sails up :)
Great video, that storm looked amazing. I'm not sure I would be standing and hanging onto the rigging in an electrical storm.
Because Karl is aluminum he would probably handle lightening strike rather admirably because there is a lot of contact area with the water to diffuse the out bound charge. The inbound isn't generally the problem on strikes but the out bound can be a real problem. When for instance people wire all there bronze sea-cocks together for grounding on a fiberglass boat, blowing the sea-cocks out into the sea leaving a nice hole where each was has happened to many. Creating a ground mesh like that is not a great anyway on a plastic boat because when you are in a slip where there are a lot of electrical flux currents, the mesh grid allows those flux current to pass faster than does the water, so what happens is that the outbound side where the currents leave the grid to pass back into the water sets up electrolysis which eats away at the sea-cocks.
Beautifully filmed and edited. Going to have a try at painting the mangrove scene at 6.17.
Ph yeah, that could be a nice picture indeed!
Great video!!
Looks like you have been working on the sailor tan. Lookin' good!
great job !
Very nice videos, I eagerly await the next part of your adventure. Only recently found your channel, but have now watched every one of your vids. At some point you might want to inspect your life raft... I watched another cruiser check his and all grab straps as well as the strap tying it to the boat were so dry rotted that they snapped even though it had never been out of it's bag.
thanks for the recommendation, +MISTERComaToes. Mine is still inside it's time frame of not needing an inspection. But when it comes to the date, I will try to have it inspected.
Ahoy, Nike & Karl
Nice video Nike.
thanks fore sharing

great videos nike ,where are you now?,,fair winds an safe passages,,,paul
Cool video. Thumbs up from us! What is the beam on your boat? It looks comfortable for you!
He's like 3.5m wide I think, need to check my papers to confirm :) But yes, for 1-2 people the boat offers nice space. With three it gets a bit crowded...
Ahoy, Nike & Karl
That sailor tan is finally getting to you eh!
You should always check about Crocs before doing something like this, as they are capable of pulling you out of the canoe. Wise to check.
+NeonsStyle How sure are you of this...?
Willem Oldewage Positive! It's been known to happen in Northern Australia by Salt Water Croc's and Fresh water crocs. If you think of it, it's pretty easy. It's a massive animal, and has a massive bite force.
Nice video editing.
Très sympathique vidéo
fixing/replacing the wind turbine? it won't generate much power lying on the deck :D
What charts and how do you use you pad for navigation.. what programs...so enjoy your video.... I will sail my Asilomar on April 6 from SW Florida to Cuba.. .then on to Isla Mujeres... and Cancun... and then back to SW Florida over a 5 week adventure......thank you for the inspirations.....
I love watching your adventures. Your a cool chick.
Nice, your engine now seems to be reliable after all the initial hassles ?
Lovely film, as always. I could never understand why boat people choose to furnish what is, a small space, with loads of dark wood, brass etc.. It Is a small plastic boat NOT a Spanish galleon - paint it all white and maximise the light.
what equipment do you use to film you’re wonderful adventures?
I have a Sony 4K camcorder, a GoPro 7 and a magic air drone. Also a small DJI osmo Pocket that I sometimes use...
If you don't mind, I am curious as to what kind of boat the other guy is sailing?
She's a Pouvreau, a Vanderstadt design made from steel, I think about 32 or 35 feet, but not 100% sure about the length.
Ahoy, Nike & Karl
Thank you
Find some old fiberglass tent poles, sail cloth, clear plastic, and make yourself one of these for your kayak.

That is such a cool idea, +Mazda rx7. Thx for sharing! If I have some spare time, I might look into that, looks like a fun project for sure!

WhiteSpotPirates
Just google kayak sails, click images, lots of different designs.
KORITFW
I'm a big fan of yours and what you're doing. Awesomeness.
but...
I think I now hate that song "All in the Name of Love" . Sorry.
I don't hate it, but Nike should take into consideration that if that song ever gets copyright.... her videos will be shut down by RUclips. Food for thought?
