Just found your channel a couple of days ago. I'm not into model railway building but love DIY. Since losing my job on health grounds, I'm virtually living in my shed, sorting shelves out. I have loads of nik naks from Aldi etc but nothing like you have shown. As I'm wanting to get into a bit of woodcrafting I'm going to have to save up for the Parkside impact drill and dremel stuff. Keep the purchases coming. I'm really enjoying them.
I've just found your videos, great info about tools such as the Screwdriver set and the Toolbox, I'm lucky enough to ha ve 3 Aldi's and 2 Lidl's within three miles seems I'll have to visit them more often!
Torx headed screws (not star). Designed for use by hand or power operated screwdriver as there's virtually no way the driver can slip or ruin the item or screw head unlike the crosshead or slot headed screws.
There's nothing like having the right tools for the right job.
Just an opinion, the cardboard box or sleeves that these tools come with contain information which is important and I tend to keep these including the tool case. Try not to damage them.
I bought a Parkside drill, grinder , type power tool about 10 years ago for my guitar repairing. Still going strong and can't fault them. Really versatile tools.
Bought tools from Lidls ( power tools ) called Parkside and they work extremely well , no complaints from me and what I've used them for.
Some Handy purchases, Think I might go for the Screwdriver set if unless my lucks on the draw, my old QD jewlers one`s are past it now. I`ve just bough the Ferrex cordless rotary tool which i find handy.
I bought the 4v screwdriver set purely for the right angle drive, perfect for work in a confined space. When I retired I built a ummerhouse using middle of lidl tools. Three years and still going.
Really enjoyed the video . Then you let me see your real passion. Been waiting 40 years plus to have my own layout. Been carting round so many train sets for all my years so far.
We shop at Lidl my wife rather shops i go straight to the tool section. Most of what you showed i already own being a keen modeler of HO and wooden boats. Most of my larger DIY tools are also Parkside, had them for years ie drills, saws angle grinders ect and they are all brilliant. I like that light you showed and will have to get one. Thanks for vid
Thanks for a great video on modeling tools from Aldi's and Liddle's. I have used Aldi's tools before and have never had any problems.
Tool box. I found that park side tools are very good,and well made .and I can get rid of some that take too much space,j Gardham.
That toolbox is exactly the same as the ones in Poundland (minus the branding on top) I got 3, one for pliers and snips, one for exacto knives, blades and the like and one box full of screws,bits n bobs and superglue tubes. Handy little boxes 👍🏻
I've bought loads of stuff from both shops some to do with modelling as I build race and camera drones, other stuff I buy I use for jobs around the house and garage. Bought a fantastic Powerfix Screwdriver and Bit set from Aldi a few years back that has 95 bits in it, all in all there are 101 pieces in the set. Got modelers compartmental boxes that have small compartments in for spares for my helicopters and drones, also got two wall mounted boxes with trays in for spares as well in my back bedroom/office/modelling room.
In the bit set item you mentioned the extension bit, this is a drive bit to use on small square drive sockets.
Constructing several layouts at once so a screwdriver would come in handy 🤚 :D

I have the screwdrivers, they are brilliant definitely worth getting and also magnetic. The Toolbox another good idea, need one of them
I love Parkside products, got many myself but not that light yet... trip to get 1 is a must now 👍

Parkside is great for the money. I purchased a Parkside jet washer from Lidl, used for a couple of years with no problems at all. The mistake I made was to give it to my daughter (who still has it, and it's still working just fine) & buying a Karcher, thinking that it was certain to be good as it is such a brand name. WRONG! To put it politely, it was a pile of crap! Should have kept the Parkside🤔

Yes I agree this stuff is really good for modellers. I subscribed to receive the Lidl weekly offers which is handy for an early heads up on the middle of Lidl! I have seen some stuff recently that I thought would make useful tools for my modelling projects and raced over to my not so local Lidl store on the day advertised. Regrettably my store never seems to get some of these little gems in stock which is very frustrating!!! I tried for 2 weeks to get the clamp set but to no avail. The round base thing is just to mount the mini G cramps in! I managed to get the recent modelling knife set by a shear fluke this week! 🙄 Nice little video of stuff that I cant often get!!!!!!
Yeah I certainly understand. It’s just a matter of finding your nearest store that has all the kit and getting there early on the day. Being “on time” is too late!!! Get to know staff, they will tell what time they ‘dress’ the aisles etc. Same with online sales go immediately you are aware, not on the day! So mobile access is crucial. You can win if you treat this as a contest and not as doing the shopping! Lol

@@BobMuir100 Good advice! Since then I have persisted and only missed out on a couple of items. I did manage to pick up those tweezers the other week and the epoxy resin! I live out in the sticks so things are a bit slower here! Some things can turn up weeks after the advertised release date! Keep up the good work! Regards JH
I've a shed full of Aldi/Lidl stuff and most of it is fine for tinkering, I've a stick welder and it is great but the flux core welder isn't the best, producing crappy looking welds....

Those Star Bits, with the hole in the end, are for security screws.
I have found tools from these outlets really good the Screwdriver set ,very nice. Great site, regards Mike
screwdrivers- i often buy tools from lidl and use a parkside glue gun all the time for my model aircraft

I got one of those ALDI Ratchet screwdriver sets.
In fact, I got all three, of the different ones on offer.

Wouldn't recommend it for normal diy the things you find at these stores are perfect for modelling.
Multitools, magnifying glasses and precision instruments.
It all helps to keep the hobby affordable too 😄

i've noticed some comment regarding quality of the tools not being good enough for diy, maybe some amature diy'ers just dont use tools properly, i work on cars / bikes / ebikes and vans, in the last 5 years i have had 2 parkside tools fail, the 20v grinder motor burned out after about 3 years of above average use, and the 20v jigsaw on/off/speed switch smoked. once again that lasted me through 2 campervan builds. as to the 20v batteries, there from grizzly and rewrapped and originate from samsung (q series) and i buy the batteries, strip them, and re-use the cells in ebikes, although on my folding bike i just use 2 of the batteries as-is and recharge them in the normal charger, our oldest battery is from 2018 and gets used at least weekly as we cycle (no ebike pun) to even the wera and tear. what i dont like about the batteries, no internal under voltage protection, only charge balancing. (all 20v batteries have balancing since atleast 2017)
It's the germans who are trying to out do the china/india rubbish. As lidl and aldi rubbish are german goods . Many items from aldi and lidl failed. Both German companies.. DVD play ers. Tools etc. A lot of rubbish at reasonable prices?not for me anymore.

I love the Parkside tool range but recently I've been buying the Aldi workzone tool range especially the premium 1000 mixed screws at around the tenner mark 😁 anyway kind regards Alexander Toolbox, Screwdriver 👷 ✌ 👍 👍 .
That isn't a Lidl toolbox, it is medium size at least.

I heard that the Parkside tools are made by Black and Decker .I’ve had some good and some really bad
Some would be made in the same Chinese factory. But BnD are not the same as they were. Only Makita are independent, plus Hilti. All others are owned by other companies. There are three super factories in China, good bad ugly. Ferrex and Parkside use ugly and bad. Dewalt use ugly and good. So all parts and mouldings are shared. Dewalt are owned by Stanley, Bosch often share parts on their cheap green tools with Parkside. Ferrex often rebadge Scheppach. Bosch blue is still quality. Ferrex quality varies but is good as a spare drill for pilot and countersinking. So a mix of Makita and Ferrex serves DIYers and builders well. Great video Can 😎
Great kit bits Dan, good as always. That LED torch look first rate but not seen in my Lidl. Is it a current DIY offering. Writing on 1/10.

The problem with Parkside tools is you can’t get spares for them
I have a Parkside hammer drill and I’ve been trying to purchase
a new set of brushes With out success .I started in July speaking
with Lidl customer service who passed me on to Grizzly / Novo who
have never replied to any of my emails.it’s now October and still no joy
Parkside tools are quite good but unfortunately Lidl and there supplier’s
are not very good on after sales
Sometimes if you find a part number of a part, if you put that number in to Ali express or amazon, you may find a result. Most of parkside stuff is just rebranded Chinese items.

I do frequent Aldi, but i can only buy what they are selling at the time. If they have no tools in the sale section, i cannot buy them! Lidl on the other hand always have tools available .
