Imagine trying to turn your life around and joining a company, but being named “Die Now”😂😂
I cant have anyone in my party die! If I get them I hope to keep them.
be a Seed
Abdul Rahman Khan Lol I lost more soldiers here in one day than I did in my entire playthrough of Darkest Dungeon xD
"I diagnose you with dead."
Or "Total Trash" :D
Almost every time I start a new strategy game this dude is there with immense help
Same. 3rd time for me
Agreed. This man knows so many
Recruit titles are actually very important thing to look into. Titles like "quick" or "Strong" usually correspond with positive perk aswell as titles like "craven", "fat" or "the dastard" corresponds with negative perks. Most of the time you can distinguish decent recruits without paying to try them out which is rather high price in early game.
Or you can just savescum 😂
Had an 88 day lone wolf brother, 41 kills in 20 som battles, man was an absolute beast, may he forever live on in memory.
I didn't even realize you could affect the battle formation in the party screen.
This right here is quality content. When ever i try a new turn based game your videos always come up. You give such detailed explanations of everything on whether items or builds are viable or not. Thanks
*gets hired and feels valued for once*
Brother: "what is my role, captain?"
Captain: "your role is 'die now'"
Brother: 😐
Welcome on the team, Brother, glad to have you on board! Your title shall be... "meat for the grinder"
Teir 2 and 3 flails are my favorites when I can first get ahold of them because of how fast they take out bare headed or hat wearing enemies, and leave the armour alone. I only take 2 usually, but they can be killers.
Nice!
Bro you are everywhere!!!!
Because of this comment all battle brothers text I read is in your smooth relaxing voice.
WHOA, HI K&G!!
Just got into Battle Brothers after playing on and off since launch and your content is pure gold. Great advice and superb insight. Thanks for uploading, this was very helpful.
Glad to hear it!
Filthy I cant tell you how much I love you as a content creator. I just found you yesterday and im learning battle brothers. And you are by far the best youtuber to ever teach me a game. There is no downtime. You go straight to the point. You know exactly what you want to say and dont lose anyone's time saying it.
Its honestly so refreshing to find someone like you that doesnt repeat everything a thousand time and that has an actual structure for his tutorial videos. Like every second of this video is making me learn something.
Same
100% agree. I like his systematic approach. He's one smart cookie and has great communication skills.
This is the best information I've come across for BB as of yet. Thank you very much! I'd love to see another short but quite comprehensive guide such as this one for the mid and late games.
You have been amazing in helping me get a jump start on this game to get the early frustrations out of the way. Thank you!
Biggest gameplay change after looking at multiple BB runs by filthy is to stack melee attack on the highest skill bro. That's a bro with a spetum/warfork/pike/billhook consistently nailing a target under total surround by the fodder. A billhook armed companion will usually OHKO a thug or helmetless raider 3 out of 4 tries. Most new hires in the same position hit 3 out of 5 tries. Early game damage soak and landing one additional hit tends to be the difference between a squad wipe and success.
This is a great video with lots of helpful tips. Even after 170ish hrs of Battle Brothers there is still so much to learn. I really like your spreadsheets as well.
Just started playing this game and I’m absolutely hooked I love it. Thank you for your guides!
Great guide yet again, many thanks!
Thanks so much for this video. Just started playing last night and I’m so pumped to start off on a good foot.
This is EXACTLY the kind of starter guide I was looking for. Thank you :)
Thanks for the video Filthy! high quality stuff as usual!
This is the best explanation on how to play the early game I've ever seen. I might play the game again. Thanks.
So it's either learn a new programming language or learn to play Battle Brothers?
Challenge accepted, Battle Brothers
Best beginning break down I've seen! Im late game my first go, and I feel like all my guys are die now.
Thanks for your videos! Definitely explains things in clear way. Using the titles like that is genius
I've also been denoting starting brothers with tattoos. Just another way to quickly ID them on the map. GREAT GAME. Great vid. Thx!
Missed those since your civ5 guides. Thanks man
Great information and a lot of it! I'll be returning for more study time.
Time to start a new company and try out every tactic you mentioned, Filthy. This was a great video.
I got fully addicted to this game recently, and it doesn't teach you much, so this video was extremely educational. Well done, I learned a ton! Cheers!
Just got base game on ps4 and hooked, this guide is just great! Can't wait to get dlc's after some serious hours.
Another great guide Filthy. Your videos have helped change my mindset and approach to turn-based strategy games, and I genuinely feel I have improved a lot. Thank you!
Heard you talk about this game on PKA. You got me hooked now!
Just got this game. No idea where to start, this is a big help 👍
man this was an excellent video, thank you so much
filthy robot....always a name you can trust to give you the info that you need. thanks brother
Packed quality info. Excellent. THX!!!
Excellent video!
Super useful efficient informative guide with no rambling
You are without a doubt the best battle brothers content creator, I couldn't have gotten to late game without your info and strats
Thanks, glad they've helped!
Very good guide! Thanks.
Late to the game but thnx a lot for ur info videos and guides. Really helpful and most appreciated!
dude you know so much about this game LOL, I know everything about wartale over 2000 hours, but just started playing this. looks fun
I bought the game a few days ago and I was getting destroyed, this guide helped me a lot, thanks!
literally laughed out loud when he said "I'd probably call this guy die now".
This was a great help ..Thank you!
Great guide, thanks man👍
This is great info, thanks man.
Little tip for the beast fighting missions. I lure the damn things into a neutral party and then attack them so I have extra meatshields distracting them. Hell even other bandits work as theyll still be foes but theyll attack each other. Found that out when a party of barbarians was close by a clear zombies location mission.
this video is pure gold when it comes about usefull information, but the quality maaaaan
also big thx for the mods
I'll tell you what, I'll up the production quality, you bring the other 100k views it needs to pay for it.
@@FilthyRobot BTW, this tips for early game still works with recent updates and dlcs?
Brilliant explanation.
8:20 omg i had NO IDEA that button caused a town standing hit!!
Why doesnt the game tell you that anywhere what so ever?
I guess they artificially wanted to make the game "hard" by not introducing any kind of a guide or a tutorial telling you about the things that you should know in order to enjoy the game
i didn't know town would not like it, but i did always watch how their comments would change the tone from happier to be more and more annoyed.. thought it was just that one guy giving the mission not liking to bargain - not the whole city :-o
also on one mission i got basically 2 options:
- return a jewel for decent amount of money and reputation for the guy (i guess also the town cuz doing successful missions increases the friendliness)
- give jewel to someone else for more than 2x the prize i would had gotten returning it but "i" (the guy we play as) made a comment that it would have negative effect on the dude we did that mission for (i guess i should had understood the town would had gotten hit for it too)
i guess there are enough hints so some smarter people could put things together and figure out how missions affect the status - but yeah, lack of tutorial or visible stats makes it bit harder
@@Novica89 TBH, the more easier the game, more people don't play it or remember it. Dark souls one of hardest games and people still play it. BB is not so hard that drives you away but hard enough to keep you interested.
@@nashiffuadkhan9817 I agree that the game should be hard(er) to keep the player constantly having the sense of progress that will keep him playing it, but the way they have done it in BB (by not giving you any kind of a tutorial to introduce you to at LEAST the basic things you should now about the gameplay) is not the way to do it. Hiding game mechanics from a player is not the right way to make the game harder.
@@nashiffuadkhan9817 how is darksouls hard?
amazing guide. much appreciated
thank you so much. so much info well presented
I really like your guides.
Fantastic, thanks a lot!
Great stuff! I definitely don't think you talk to fast. I actually love your speed because so many guides are spoken so slowly that the video takes twice as long as it has to. Thanks for the guide :)
Ditto
Something that might come in handy: RUclips has a speed option so if you're watching a video by someone who talks too slow you can crank it up to 1.25x or 1.5x speed (or higher if you're up for that).
Thanks mate, very good video.
I'd love to see you add timestamps in the descriptions of videos that jump from topic to topic.
amazing. this is the guide i never knew i wanted
Bought this game thanks to your awesome coverage
Amazing video. Thanks so much.
this is such a good guide. ANd now I'm mid game and need a mid-game transition guide. Can't seem to get the 150+ armor from fallen hero.
I like the woodcutter axe. Use it to destroy shields from one hit.
Awesome videos thank you!
thanks this made this game much more enjoyable
I have like 200h in Battle Brothers but I still learned quite a lot.
Super helpful thank you
Best guides, thanks
I would love to see you make videos for Age of Wonders: Planetfall. Nobody is making good quality content (at least that I have found) and it is a game which seems to have lots of depth and turn based play.
I played this some 30+ runs and played a lot of other games and still got removed from the game (not lost battle) sometimes on day 4 on beginner/veteran lol :D Thanks for tips, the meta is somewhat unintuitive here, the dagger abuse etc
I love this guide my early game always sucks royally
I remember years ago watching some of your Battle Brother Lp's since you were one of the few players playing at Higher Difficulty. I was a bit disappointed in your Play Level, but am very impressed with how much Stronger you have gotten! If i pick up the game again i know that i have some solid content of yours to watch!
I'm hoping someone could give some tips about this. I have the early game down pretty well. But I get caught up towards the mid-late game transition where I end up with mediocre brothers because I carried my early-mid game brothers. So let's say I have a lvl 11 brother whose stats are normal at best. Should I scrap him and hire new stronger brothers like the Hedge Knights? How do you transition from early game to late game?
Well I needed that. Only a lot.
amazing video
These are great guides, for an early game beginner guide like this I would have enjoy a section of trade good prices and how to make money from the markets of town to town. I would really like some of your expertise on that. Because I have just started noticing trade good prices and making money from carrying trade goods from town to town.
Never really made it that far, maybe around 50 days average. but lol, I started playing again and i recruit brothers like being a family lol never had intention of recruiting a brother just to be a meat shield and die early.
great guide thanks filthy
My pleasure!
very good video. thanks
NGL this is the first time I've seen you off of pka lol. Subbin though good stuff.
Amazing info, none of which I felt was touched on in the game itself. Well done. Now I need to figure out how to stop missing three 95% chances in a row. LOL
Yeah, this ridiculous high chance missing streaks just spoil the game sadly. As well as no less ridiculous low chance enemy hitting streaks. :(
I watched your videos on Darkest Dungeon. And now Battle Brothers.
I didn't understand then and I don't understand now.
Why the hell you have so few subs and views? I mean your analytics are excellent.
I'm pretty sure if you were a finance analyst you'd be a billionaire.
"What you're looking for early game are....."
Everything.
the main question, as a n00b, is "okay so how can i prevent the mission mechanics from drawing me all over the map?" sometimes the missions nearby totally suck and i end up drifting all over the map not really being able to focus on a particular spot for my missioning
Just started last night had to restart twice because.. well everyone died!!
What did make me chuckle though was info about the cross bow man you have remaining at the beginning
Tell you how good he is... when I had witnessed him miss literally every target I gave him 😂
One thing I like when looking at a map is plains as opposed to mountains. Plains and grasslands mean fast travel around the map.
If you climb mountains, you can get a better view of surrounding territory which can help with exploring and camps
Dude ... I got it an hour ago and am still getting wiped by the wolves in the second tutorial lol Thanks for your help.
The game isn’t easy, for sure
300+ Hours and you just fixed my early game xD
Nice to hear!
11:45
Wilhelm: "A warband! Rarrrgh! I can't wait to wreak havoc on-"
"Yeah you're going to be used as sword fodder. Get to the front lines, Die Now".
Wilhelm: :(
Good Video
You start with evaluation of the map. I don’t know how to play yet lol.
Great tutorial. Such a pity it was probably mistakenly recorded at a low resolution with a minimal bitrate )-:
In the early game, you start at 144p
@@Reffie2 Hahahaha good one!
@@serch3ster :D Hahaha. Good video tho. I hope he doesn't mind the memes.
1 question:
it it possible to start as peasant militia and than to slowly convert them in cultists?
if so, will there sacrifice happen later?
I just got 7 brothers killed by 3 snakes on day 5 so here I am :)
Is it possible for you to make a video showing us how to install mods for battle brothers?
Thanks for doing this! I was playing all wrong :) Also, how did your brothers move so quickly on the map?
He is using mod that speeds up time even more than built in game 2x speed option, but I am not sure what is the name of the mod
I’m trying to play a peasant militia, any tips for starting bros to keep? They usually all suck so idk which to choose
Big help for a new switch player
Dont even play bb anymore, I just love watching your tutorial videos lol
