MLB The Show 24 Diamond Dynasty:
- Team Affinity expands to three chapters each season, and more ways to earn progress across multiplayer and single player modes
- Free Cornerstone Cards and Starter Packs for players at the start of each new season
- Fewer high-tier 99 OVRs at the start of each season, a major change from ‘23 Diamond Dynasty
- Free weekly packs in The Show Shop throughout the year
- More Wild Card slots unlocked via reward paths
- More ways to earn and sell high-tier cards
- Seasons are now 12 weeks long, (read below for more details on changes), each with contained progression and more frequent Team Affinity content drops
- New Animations: Roughly 400 new animations and logic improvements meticulously address any remaining areas needing attention focusing on fielder urgency
- New Throws: Added a variety of new 1B throws from the ground to all bases, that enable 1B to efficiently make throws from all overstretch scenarios
- Pitcher Animations: To combat the new disengagement rule, additional animations will allow pitchers to step off to fake throw and potentially nab the runner trying to take advantage of the third disengagement
- Base Sizes: Fans will also notice the new base sizes in ’24, and of course we’ve captured new logic and tag animations to account for the extra coverage needed
MLB The Show 24 Road to the Show:
- For the first time ever, you can create and play as a female ballplayer, with a unique Road to the Show story that evolves with the player over the course of your career. Experience a personalized story where players can interact and build their own baseball career. This path will include all existing features of Road to the Show with the addition of a unique-to-women storyline following a lifelong friendship as it develops in professional baseball
MLB The Show 24 Franchise:
- MLB The Show 24 makes multi-tasking a breeze with the ability to control multiple teams during the Amateur Draft experience in Franchise. In MLB The Show 24, players can now enable ‘Impact Plays,’ enhancing their ability to make game-changing defensive moves. Whether it’s a runner who tagged up and is trying to take 3rd or taking the ball off the wall and hitting the relay to get the runner about to cross home plate. Impact Plays allow you to leave your mark on the game with your defensive prowess. And yes, we’ve also increased the chances of scaling the wall to rob home runs!

- No AL/NL collection 99 overall cards, just 99 2-way Babe Ruth for live series collection
- Most offline grinds are now repeatable, so you can do showdown 15 times in a row if you want

Really hope March to October has updated rosters and injuries. Never liked starting a MTO in July and it’s the preseason roster. Easy fix to have those rosters updated

One thing I think you missed is that players not selected in Franchise Drafts will re-appear in future drafts if they are still eligible with improved ratings. Kinda like if they went back for a season of college ball in the meantime.

Many years ago Draft Combine was a thing. The better you did, the better your draft stock would be. This was also back before you could just pick your team at the start in a convo with your high school coach. You also used to have like 2 or 3 options for what agency represented you after you were drafted.

@@foreverbumber4 No, it wasn't. There was a "showdown," but you were always a very late round pick "underdog" and your play didn't matter. It has been about a decade since your play affected your draft position.
It was called Showdown if I remember correctly. It is a couple of games before the draft that were supposed to influence when you were picked, but never actually did.

RTTS got no love once again for the 10th straight year
Not only did it not get any love. They actually made certain QOL things worse. Also really don’t like the fact you can’t cause the same ball player in multiple RTTS Files.
Because they have done almost nothing to the game in about that many years 😂
One addition I've been wanting for years to the game and should have been awhile ago is that catchers frame their pitches, like pitches on the corners are held a bit by catchers, it's small but it would really add to the realism imo.

I would love a RTTS series of fuzzy. As well as a franchise series rebuilding or improving the guardians team.
Fuzzy only plays DD and doesn't like real RTTS or Franchise.
It would be awesome if they added a softball game mode with all women that was a lot quicker paced! I’m sure it wouldn’t be easy to just add though!
That would be way better. Just putting women in RTTS feels lazy.

You know what i want. I want the damn game stats (win/loss,games played, runs scored ect) when you are playing your friends.

Also to note if you have Xbox gamepass and get the digital deluxe add on you can play early as well I believe I think it’s 40 dollars if I’m not mistaken . Anyway great video fuzzy!

Imagine if they created a dedicated storyline for RTTS. Obviously they’re able to do it for other modes, so why not for RTTS?

Can you please tell me if they fix play a friend stadium glitch. When i invite a friend to a normal match, no matter what stadium i choose it would always put me in the allstar stadium. In Mlb 23 the show

I’m not against it, but if that was ALL they added, I was fully going to skip ‘24 in protest of SDS being lazy with development.
@@AlexP-dz7ew I fully understand that, the last few years have been awful, if it was anything like 23’ I would’ve skipped as well. But this year seems like a major overhaul compared to 22-23 😂
they need to add like unbuttoned jerseys at the top, tattoos and be able to wear more than 1 chain
97's are fine if that's what the cap is. I'd actually like to see the earlier seasons have a lower cap like that.
Maybe Season 1 caps at 96
Season 2 at 97
Season 3 at 98
And Season 4 at 99.
That way there is more life later in the game. And with it just being 1 overall difference it would still make the previous seasons usable so we would still use the Wild Card slots

I decided after all to get the game so I'm excited
My goal is to absolutely no life team affinity, and then do some BR to gain pxp, and then play ranked. I know the sweats will definitely go for buxton as their cornerstone, not only cuz Buxton bangs, but because of his boost. I think im pretty decent at hitting with pretty much any player, my problem is pitching so, im probably gonna take senga just to spam the fork, if i need it.
God its gonna take me til mid February just to collect all the dodgers cuz i just know that team will cost at least 1.2 mil before ratings start to change.

The seasons mechanic looks promising
No cap in ranked is proly the reason i wont get this game, been playing the show for a very long time and always looked forward to using my cap in DD, against other peoples caps. And as much money the game cost and we dump into the game its ashame, i mean my cap in 23show wasnt any better than any of the 99s that wer released, but i used it the whole year, because its my cap! Fot 24 Atleast give us an online mode in RTS to use our caps online!
Overall.) Am I going to be forced to use pinpoint pitching in any modes?
DD.) I'm upset that instead of making my RTTS player's OVR match with RTTS, they removed the ability to use him in DD.

Looks nice but we all know how this is going to go it's the same cycle every year in a few months everyone will be complaining about something in the game

They spent dev time on adding women to the game instead of improving rtts or franchise. To the lot of people who have complained for years about those gamemodes it feels really bad.

I'm really only concerned with any changes done to the engine and gameplay. After watching all the preview stuff, I don't see enough to make me want to get this at full price. I'll just keep playing the Show 23 until the Show 24 price drops to the $30 range. Likely around November. Hopefully next year they'll give the game a real upgrade.

If they would just implement a game mode like 2k has pro am/rec and fifa has pro clubs implement a game mode like that in MLB and the game will boom
