My favorite part of these runs is Maruki going "Don't mistake our powers as equal" and then Joker immediately doing something that shows the TRUE power disparity, like...beating him without taking damage, or beating him with only Joker with only Arsene or just using the Myriad Truths to rip through Maruki in like two turns lol
Little fun fact: If you force the holy grail to heal enough time's he just stops with it. It's dosen't bring anything most of the time but in things like joker only run's it can be pretty helpful.
A tip for max damage, in Royal Will of the sword is bugged and gives you a free concentrate at the start of the battle, leaving free the accesory equipment. In addition you can give that persona the 3 ma-kajas skills and start the fight full party buff, concentrate and with the first turn.
Not bugged, it is just OP as hell. Who thought Will of the Sword was ok, it’s the best non unique trait for magic attackers, and gives a free concentrate. It’s nowhere near as dumb as Izanagi-no-Okami (straight-up halves damage taken and doubles damage output, along with the best skill in the game) but it outclasses most other traits for magic attackers, and is only beaten out by one trait for the best physical damage trait.
The day I got P5R was the day part 1 of this challenge was uploaded, glad to know a series im getting into can be broken like this lol. Watching these since the internet spoiled me on the plot when the game first came out.
pro persona 5 tip if you play a spotify song while playing the game, the in game ost wont play, but the sound effects and voices still will it will do the same thing even if you turn the volume all the way down in spotify
About Yaldabaouth's fight. If i remember correctly at the Jazz club you can get a party member to learn Debilitate 12/11 reducing this way Yaldabaouth's hit and defense increasing Joker chances to evade. At the Jazz club a member can also learn Ali Dance 1/15.

I wonder if a similar kind of run would be possible in _Persona 3 Portable..._ So far, the biggest obstacles I can think of are some early battles (due to mirror unavailability, low resources in general, and a not-yet-full active party) and the final boss (who has _14 phases,_ double turns, loses debuffs/buffs twice as quickly, and can attack the entre party with Almighty damage at any time). The rest of the boss battles are basically about mirror spam with occasional breaks, and/or going solo with Persona builds that null/repel/absorb all enemy attacks.
Inspired me to try an Arsene only run which I'm currently streaming occasionally on Twitch ^^. I am a little kind to myself, but I did make sure to ban enough settings and set enough requirements for it to be hard enough. Yesterday I suffered against the will seed boss fight Arahabaki, with his annoying brain wash attack. Thankfully did it, but it felt impossible at first
I imagine that against most single target skills (that arent almighty), the paint brush skill + spotlight would be pretty broken Only the chosen character would get attacked, but theyd absorb damage rather than take it
This is probably way too late to say, but in case you do any more of these challenge runs. IDK about royale, but in OG P5, there was an exploit where you could infinitely sacrifice personas to the same one, bypassing the daily limit. Step one: have X persona you want to make awesome step 2: sacrifice something to the persona step 3: register X persona to compendium step 4: get rid of X persona somehow (maybe fuse it into something else, or sacrifice it to buff something else) step 5: pull X persona back out of compendium step 6: repeat until you run out of money or patience if you are already doing a ton of grinding, you can potentially capture several random personas to use as fodder so you dont' spend as much money pulling out more fodder i also found moderate success in fusing X persona into one of the fodder, leveling them up, so that when the fodder was sacrificed back to X persona, it ended up being a larger source of exp if you want you can use this to get max level personas pretty much as soon as you have access to mementos, provided you have some sort of sp regen, or insta-kill
The fact you can just straight up beat the whole game without taking any damage is insane, well done man However would you ever consider combining the 2 challenges (no attacks and no damage taken) or would that simply take you too long/ not be possible?
That would be outright impossible due to this challenge only being manageable thanks to how broken Izanagi and Myriad Truths is. Without that you wouldn't stand a chance. Not that I think it would even be possible to bypass the first few battles in Kamoshida's palace anyway.
it's possible but it would take an extreme amount of luck here is the explanation: First u have to do Kamoshida palace with probably no insta kill because Ryuji's days for rank 7 in april are the 25th and the 27th which I don't think is possible even with the optimal choices for ryuji's confidant (I'm not sure about this tho), so assuming u have to do Kamoshida with no instakill it would take an extreme amount of luck but if u get past it the rest of the run takes a lot less luck however after u get instakill and grind in mementos untill lvl 28 because after that u can do rank 5 of the twin wardens confidant (which u dont technically need since u could just grind in mementos/palace untill ur a high enough lvl to build an invincible Alitat/Fafnir builds) which gives u the ability to fuse a persona of a higher lvl after that u make an invincible Alitat or Fafnir build but it's still luck based because u can get hit by almighty attacks so Kamoshida's palace would be pure rng hell but after that it's just a shit ton of grinding with still pretty bad rng because u would need to avoid all almighty attacks from bosses and forced fights but u could instakill all other enemies so possible but takes a shit ton of luck (I know my grammer is ass but I don't care enough to do proper grammer I also forgot to mention that u need to get the route to madarame's palace secured for skill cards but I think u should be able to insta kill all enemies in madarame's palace at lvl 28)

I've created a very difficult ruleset for the purpose of making persona 5 at least a big harder, I think you'd be able to give it a go! It is as follows. I call it, Persona 5 Royal CRIMSON Difficulty - You MUST play on Hard difficulty. After Kamoshida's Palace, the following rules take effect. - party members cannot be revived until you leave the palace - only 3 party members must be active - no healing outside of battle, only in safe rooms. - no DLC personas. (unless you can fuse them) - after every death, a persona must be deleted from your inventory. you may choose which one. (you cannot grab them from the compendium after death either) - damaging items such as the Stun Gun or Wind Cannon are prohibited. - (OPTIONAL) you can only use a limited number of saves, you choose how many. - (OPTIONAL) you can only rank up a certain number of confidants. (you can choose how many.) - (OPTIONAL) healing is prohibited. - (OPTIONAL) the almighty element is prohibited. (any skill with the almighty element symbol) - (OPTIONAL) Insta-kill skills are prohibited. - (OPTIONAL) no all out attacks. - (OPTIONAL) all party members command settings cannot be "Direct Commands" It's strongly recommended you play with at least one of the optional rules since they add just a bit of spice to the playthrough in my opinion, hope this finds you well!
Question, i noticed that you missed a fight in this Challenge, so here's my question. Can you beat the Optional Bosses: Akechi Rank 8, Jose, Caroline-Justine and/or Lavenza, the Will Seed Bosses you didn't engage as well as the Velvet Room Challenges (the one with Yuu Narukami and Makoto Yuuki) without taking any damage as well? This question doesn't mean you should do it, just whether you think it's even possible. But of course, other than the Caroline-Justine, you can't just pull out your NG+ Izanagi no Ookami from the Compendium.

You mentioned that to insta-kill you should be much higher-leveled than your opponent, but don't you know the only condition for insta-kill with exact numbers? Generally, avoiding damage by doing as much damage as possible to end fights quickly was my method here.
