I drive a white one and I absolutely love it! Just don't try to pass a semi on the highway while going up a hill haha You'll just have to get back behind the truck.
I've got a '92 classic with blue interior and features damn near IDENTICAL to your '91. The '92's speedometer goes to 100mph but apart from that is identical in features----mine has blue interior and exterior is blue over silver 2 tone. Mine has (at present) about 83.5K miles on it. The motor is a 5 liter 9c1 (305 police package) V8 and indeed has quick snappy response when pushing it a little.... :)
these are real similar to the impalas, i really like it, except for the red interior. thanks for taking the time to do all these videos, much appreciated!
Man you know it's one of the best cars made ever in history. 21 years with me and it's still strong and comfortable aww I wish they make like it another time.
I find it very strange that having a big car like the speedometer up scoring only 140km / h (85 mph). It has many small cars in my country, Brazil, where the speedometer mark up 200km / h. This car is no more than 140km / h? My Ford Fiesta brand to 200 km / h and I got 185 km / h with it. My Fiesta has a 1.6 liter engine. It runs on gasoline E25 and ethanol E100. He is walking with 101cv 105cv walking with gasoline and ethanol. Great video. I liked the car's interior.
You are may hero ! I'm searching 4 this model two years now. All I can find in Europe are wracks. My only hope is visit US and find one in good shape for myself. Many, many, many thanks saabkyle04.
Thanks 2 u, I've done that a couple of times mainly when I need to keep the engine running and need to get something quickly without turning the car off completely
Only one powertrain was available for the '91 Caprice: Chevrolet's 5.0-liter fuel-injected V8, sending its 170 horsepower to a 4-speed automatic transmission, No 5.7L option till 92.
In 1992 impala ss jet black prototype they used This car with same dash cut wheel wells dumped Corvette tpi engine. There are few pictures of cars inside. It sold at Barret Jackson for 75,000 I love this car rear quarters can be changed to 1995 I also love these tail lights
It's too bad they didn't use a sequential fuel injection version of the 5L 305 in 1994 to 96 like the trucks had. it would've been good for 230hp rather than the L99 4.3Ls measly 200hp.
Nice video, and a really clean looking caprice! At 7:30 there is a cassette in the glove box! Anybody know whats on it? is it something that came with the car?
You can always depend on your Chevrolet thats for sure! Hey Kyle, how are you able to go to another dealership and just get a set of keys for any car? Do you tell them your dad has a dealership and they trust you or does your dad have an affiliation with other dealerships? Just curious!
@gentle285 no need to worry, i caught my mom and her boyfriend doing just that in the garage in her 91 caprice classic lol. it was the same color as this too
Ualll I Love Chevy Caprice! Its the Best! I like a Chevy! But, Here in Brazil is very hard for a buy! Is a Rare car! I wanna that still have many units of this car in United States. I Love your Country!
@gajda1984 the Caprices and Impalas are civilian cars only, i never seen any as a crusier, i think most are retired and replaced by Crown Vics, but my city is changing some to Chargers, but they are undercover.
As cruisers or civilian cars? They are great cars, but the last caprice cruiser I saw in central Ohio was about a year ago. I still see a good few handfuls as civilian cars.
You said this was at a dealership right? They obviously don't take very good care of their cars... did you see how much shit was on the floor? Am i the only person that saw that?
i have a 1996 impala ss and this is almost a clone of my 1996 impala ss but this car have a different engine and this car is very slow top speed haha only 80 on the dash.
Ugh, it has that hideous red interior. Why do people like it so much? It has to be one of the most ugly things I've ever seen. It would be a nice car... if you ripped out all of the interior and replaced it with a normal color, like blue, gray, or beige.
one of the last full sized body on FRAME cars from GM. (along with the roadmaster and fleetwood) its to bad they dont make these big boats anymore. classic car styling and SAFER then unibody cars. (anyone want to clearify just ask) get them while they last ! great vid saabkyle 5 stars!
Caprices were the most popular police cruisers during their day. Some communities in my city are switching to chargers as well. Another popular police cruiser you could see 10 to 15 years ago were the 1980s Dodge Diplomats and Plymouth Grand Fury's.
CAPRICE i own a 1992 classic great car really impressed
I drive a white one and I absolutely love it! Just don't try to pass a semi on the highway while going up a hill haha You'll just have to get back behind the truck.

I had the same exact year of this car and model
@lsitnik They're wonderful cars and have one of the best rides. Best of luck finding one in the states! (aim for a 305 or 350 Lt1!)

Yes, there are still maybe a handful left. Though most are retired and living in junk yards.
Nice video, and a really clean looking caprice! At 7:30 there is a cassette in the glove box! Anybody know whats on it? is it something that came with the car?

The one thing I dont like about these things is the gauges.
As cruisers or civilian cars? They are great cars, but the last caprice cruiser I saw in central Ohio was about a year ago. I still see a good few handfuls as civilian cars.

I like the Caprices. They were built to take care of business. Especially the 9C1's
