My grandpa spent his whole life in the police force as a K9 officer. One of my last conversations with him was how disappointed he's become with the police and how bad they've become.

They immediately move in to stop her, and that TW@T on the Cenotaph hides his lighter, so they don't do anything about him *at that moment*.
The video then cuts.
I'm going to go off now and spend 2 minutes researching to see if he was later arrested for trying to set fire to it. I'll edit my comment.

I once was arrested instead of the perpetrator and it was horrible to be in a cell where my attacker should have been. Then it happened again. My 11 year old child was chased by a group Muslim older lads and they pulled a knife out on him and tried to stab him in the eye, he was terrified and actually vomited with fear. I contacted the police as we had all the names, they did not come out for over a week, I’m sure a criminal offence should be dealt with asap, eventually they turned up but only to talk to my son and us, not writing any information or details or taking a statement from us, we gave the names of them involved. They said they will have to go talk to their superior and come back in a few days for further investigation, that was a year ago now, they didn’t come back or go visit the lads that did it let alone want to give us a chance to charge and make a complaint and statement. No crime number or investigation, absolutely nothing done for a serious crime. Iv not been contacted once since. Surely this is criminal behaviour from the police and against my and my kid’s rights as UK citizens, but I know exactly why this was ignored, but I bet if it was the other way around I’d of had my door kicked in off it’s hinges. Disgusting and totally let down by my own country and government and police.

I've thought about this a little bit, and it's possible the police stopped the woman from bringing him down because if the crowd got to him he'd probably get stamped to death, and that's a lot of paperwork for them. When I was a police officer (for 30 years would you believe) the opinion 30 or 40 years ago was that areas of the country would have to be secured with gated security operated by councils or private companies and you would have to have a good reason to gain access. Any problems would be addressed by roaming police units who would be called. Prove me wrong I say!
