I love these little bedside chats. The part about replaying those tapes in our head is so true. Even harder when it's a replay of hurtful words coming from people we are supposed to trust and be a leader.
There is always a type of wisdom you convey through your story telling. You could tell your life’s story a thousand times and I wouldn’t get tired because even if you tell it there’s always a part of a memory (not all the time) that gets unlocked. It’s told differently and becomes more in depth and it becomes a self reflection, a reverie. It’s just very interesting and engaging the way you bring about these specifics within your life. I really pondered a lot on the thought of learning how to win and lose gracefully. It’s that acceptance that in both experiences there is something to learn. I also liked how you talked about that negative self talk on loop or “negative tapes”, and how we need to be careful in how we talk to ourselves. It’s easy to get sucked into it compared to thinking of positive affirmations. It’s amazing how even the practice of positive thoughts and affirmations can be uncomfortable at first but as you said can have “profound impacts” on our wellbeing. Again, you’re just really good at giving life lessons. I can’t explain it as I’ve said it a gazillion times. You’re just talented and inspiring, truly. Very great video! Thank you 💙

Everything about the past few days and especially today has been yuck. I'm just having a rough week. My pain and emotions are off the charts, and I feel like my brain can't deal anymore. Something about this file, these types of files, is comforting. I can't put my finger on it, but I appreciate it. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone on my side of the pond.
I love the story of Lucy ❤ I ended up happening upon my dog (then 11 weeks, now 4 1/2) at my local humane society and it was love at first sight. He came to me at a time when my heart needed healing the most and he helped heal it. Even though he drove me crazy as a puppy (and still does sometimes), I wouldn’t trade him for the world. He is the baby I was never able to have. Thanks for sharing Lucy’s story.

This is great! The light grit in your voice is so lovely. The bit about negative thoughts on a tape got to me, it's definitely something I've done for all of my adult life so far (which has manifested in me being 30 and still depressed and directionless). Work in a job im unhappy at because I need the money and have no other direction or goals, mainly because I have always told myself mentally that im not good enough or smart enough for anything. Definitely need to stop that.. problem is im so stuck without any set ambitions or ''wants'' that I dont know what to try and seek out, even with a positive mindset
