Your Dad videos are some of my favorite. Starting "the talk" with asking them what they already know is smart. . I just love how you refer to the development of a child a miracle. I wish more parents would understand just how special children are. You'll be a wonderful dad.
I’m so glad I requested this video because I feel it’s such an important topic to know. Especially it’s such a delicate topic and as you said yourself a bit of an “awkward” conversation. No matter what having this conversation with your parents is weird, but it’s a natural process. I also feel like there needs to be an appropriate age of when to introduce sex education and explain it in a way where it is educational and not just so explicit like society is producing nowadays where everything is overly sexualized. It’s nice how you put some comedic relief in there 😂 when getting medically technical with it. I could go on and on but I feel you did a great job at explaining this topic. Concluding on consent at the end is very important and I’m glad you included that.

I know it felt like he was saying it to a 5 year old😂 my feeling is if a kid is old enough for the sex conversation he shouldn’t feel the need for it to sound funny or weird but I know he tries to add humor to difficult conversations like this

Yes:) the part that hit home for me is when he says he felt shame and dirty about being horny and he doesn’t want us to feel that way🥹 my parents didn’t give me the sex talk either and I had to learn everything from the health teacher not to mention my biological father has never been in the picture. I felt shame and dirty about being horny too so when he said that I was thinking in my head thank god I wasn’t the only one who felt this way
i never have felt the need to have a father figure like i do now...

I look back on the time in my life when I was young and innocent and listened to the puberty lessons in school and watched the “Miracle of life” video and had these conversations with my parents and I dreamed of the life I’d one day get to have… and sometimes I wish that even just one person had mentioned that for some people, you can be safe and careful and do everything right, and fall in love, and plan for a family, and try and try and try, and end up never getting that miracle 🥺
Would you ever do a parent reacting to a coming out video?
I wanted him to make a therapy session around coming out but I don’t know if he’d be comfortable with that

Well we don’t know if the kiddo is a boy or a girl but he says that biology is going to encourage the child to experiment to kiss their first boyfriend OR girlfriend so the fact that he’s open to the child having an LGBTQ relationship means that there might be an LGBTQ video coming:) you never know:)

Hi! I was wondering if you could ever do a video on foster children? As one myself I struggle to find a comforting presence in my life, and it would be nice to have a video for my situation. Maybe just one Ike the viewer gets a new placement and it happens to be with you? Maybe just going through the introduction, how things work, and maybe a situation where the viewer struggles with overcoming trauma responses and things like that. I know a lot of us out there are looking for a safe space, somewhere that we feel comfortable with talking to our foster families when we have nightmares, or are thinking about our parents, or even just struggling with the whole foster system. Another idea could be a kind of angsty one, foster kids are usually quiet, scared, and angry when we get a new placement, I tend to snap at people, but it comes out of a fear of rejection, attachment, or betrayal. I know I’m rambling but I love your videos and would hope maybe this could be a possibility one day. Thank you for all that you do!

Back at the age of 12, I expected that I would be able to choose the right partner (I wanted to appear responsible and ahead of everyone in my age)... Now I realize after 10 years that I am attracted to males who abuse a female (threat to leave, conditional love, coercion to change my routine habits, nicknames). Bad, deprivation, beating).. I was going to sacrifice my education in order to devote myself to my expected partner, and I expected that respect and gifts would be what awaits me as a reward for (my sacrifice).. It is good that my mother strongly refused and insisted on me to continue my studies. Now that I have listened to you, I am sure that a suitable and supportive partner is very important (because of awareness, I refuse to get involved in toxic relationships). The surprising thing is that some males are getting worse in their judgment of women. I read about healthy emotional relationships because of my fear of being attracted to an abusive partner (for example, if a divorce occurs, I will feel guilty for choosing a toxic father and husband..and they advise me to be patient with a toxic person, and I was not enough to change him for the better). And because I am against the trend, I blame them for saying (no one is perfect, and they prefer their relationship with me). I just look for a frank man who listens to psychological guidance. I hope to meet a good partner who has your qualities Jeremiah. Thank you again😊🌌

I’m really sick right now. Everything aches and I have migraine along with a stuffy and runny nose and a sore throat accompanied by a nasty cough.
When you’re grown there isn’t an adult there tk take care of you. So I’m trying to actually get some sleep at three thirty in the morning and stop coughing.
I have four cats and two very needy kittens not to mention online college and work.
Anyway. This just felt nice. 🥺

Well, I thought it was going to be a goofy video about sex and babies and I could celebrate my first dad video not triggering some dormant trauma. I almost made it- then you talked about consent. Like duh should have seen it coming. Such an important topic. It shouldn’t be a trigger. I think it just makes me mad like, why? You know? Like, what if this kind of talk had been given? Or if the parents cared as much as you do in your videos? You know, like maybe, maybe the outcome would have been entirely different. So effing stupid.

Edit: i am only 25, but i also grew up feeling guilty for “feeling things” raised old school, which wasn’t entirely a bad thing. You cannot stop feeling, so i don’t understand what the shame is coming from except from how we as individuals are raised
As far as consent goes, i was always of the mindset that “you have to give to get” terribly wrong i know that now, and i hated thinking that but thats how men treated me and let me believe . I also never had “the talk” so i kind went with whatever someone said was hot things go. Definitely dont do that, find a family member you can trust if your parents arent willing and make sure you get your questions answered by someone who has your best interest at heart.
