This week we sadly lost one of the most profound hard 'n' heavy journalist Malcolm Dome. He's been involved in many rock documentaries over the years, and here you can hear him talk about all classic periods of Deep Purple with assorted stories about songs and band members.

R.I.P. Malcolm Dome. He will be sorely missed. The very first LP I bought was Fireball way back in 1971. I never listened (and have never listened to Deep Purple Mk 1, but have enjoyed every iteration after. I consider Tommy Bolin as a more accomplished guitarist than Blackmore (that'll get some downvotes) but he was too out of control with his drug use, even more than other members of the band and that was his ultimate downfall.
