I actually think the show makes a very interesting case of what It should be like to cast ploymorph on yourself, not wildshape, How the mental state can be roleplayed, like when she laters uses it to turn into a bear to track the scent of Elias, you got to keep It simple

@@maximumdm9612 he’s not a wendigo, those are only from North America and Lindel found him in Scandinavia. He’s probably something wendigo-adjacent? But not actually a wendigo.
Other players get infinite blinks, pet dragons and DM even allowed op guns into setting. Considering that BBEG is a lich, this is pretty balanced
You know I wonder if every so often Chise uses that pelt to transform into a small animal like the fox and just kinda lounge around maybe play with Ruth on even footing.
I would 100% turn into a cat and let Silky carry me around and pet me. Seems like something she'd enjoy too, just having something to pamper

She had fur, it wasn’t cold with the fur on lol.
All joking aside it was the fox’s instinctive curiosity that made her leave, and Elias reminding her of what was important to her that made her stay.
She's so beautiful and I love his animal form!!
Its funny how in animal form, generally regardless of what it is, she smiles more and feels more free than she does when human. But I suppose those are the perks, the downsides being your memory, reasoning and generally state of mind.
It also makes me wonder what calls to her so deeply as to forget everything and one.
I guess in animal form she loses all kinds of emotional atachments
@@Lianpe98 After rewatching. Just seems like Instincts take over and she forgets all about everything else as said instincts completely take over.
I wished this would have lasted a little longer, something like, the longer she stays in animal form the more she loses her self as a human, something like that
That was what happened, the fox's curiosity and animal instincts were calling to her, she was about to leave, to be taken over by them, but Ruth needed to find out if these corresponded to her heart's desires, so he made her recall Elias. When he showed up and said he needed her and missed her, that was much more important in her heart. It shows that being free from her troubles and running away from them is a big part of her heart, but being with a family that loves and needs her is a much more vital part of who she is, part of the core of her being.
Plus, Mages/Magi aren't... exactly human I'd say. They are quite a bit like fey, but not as extreme. Even by sorcerers/alchemist (think Nasuverse magecraft) who knew how to look underneath exterior mask Chise was quite beast like, following her whims, desires and intuition. Rahab and Lindel aren't that much different while Elias is a straight up wizard from fairy tales. Polite, well-put and willing to help, but also mischievious and prone to outbursts.

I really think that it looked very interesting and very fascinating to see that 💫.
I loved this anime for its beautiful animation and music, as well as most of the story. However the ending seemed kind of dull compared to the rest of the story

This moment made me think he was being very selfish. Yes I get that he wants her around but she just said that she wanted to go to somewhere.
But she had forgotten who she truly was, it wasn't actually her who wanted to go. She was being called to the wild against her will. That's why she was so surprised when Ruth mentioned their home, she had forgotten and the mention of her home reminded her of who she was. She wanted to stay with Elias.
