Looks fantastic. Surprised the tip of the pick didn't darken similar to the hammer face to indicate where the harder material was forge welded in to it. Happy (late) Birthday and Merry Christmas good sir!
Happy birthday ( for yesterday, I left a comment on the old video) It’s a stunning piece, really unique. Looks like the hammer head has another material forged into the wrought iron? Have a good Christmas!
Yeah, that's exactly how it's been put together I believe. You can see both the head and spike have a slightly different colour to the iron. Though it's much more obvious on the head. Cheers and merry Christmas! :)
Happy birth- and holidays! Lovely looking tool, is this the first step in you digging a tunnel like Furze? 😅 Must say, what a tiny wedge it had originally...
I would never have the patience (or planning permission) to dig a tunnel under my garden to the house. 😅 Although it would be awesome! Cheers, and merry Christmas!
couldn't the tip not be forge welded harder metal, but work hardened iron? obviously in a carbon rich environment and heavy use, i think it could be a higher carbon content in the tip just from working
@@PJTForging you're gonna have to start doing your own music. I'm sure a hammer on an anvil makes a perfectly acceptable drum while the sander can take the place of a guitar. i bet it sounds great when put together
Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday!! Excellent find and excellent re-furb. Looks pretty wicked.
Cheers Wade! Happy Christmas!
Happy birthday 🎂 and Merry Christmas 🎄 That is a sweet hammer. Thanks for sharing! 👍⚒🔥
Thanks Joe! Merry Christmas! 😁
Nice restoration and merry Christmas to you and your family. Happy birthday to you and Jesus.
Thanks! Merry Christmas!
Ya can’t beat that Lidl Japanese saw
Honestly mate! For the price, it's been a right little workhorse! 😂
Happy Birthday Dude.
Thanks! Merry Christmas!

You can see it up close, but it's definitely not as obvious as the face of the hammer.
Cheers, and merry Christmas! :)
Yeah, definitely cleans up and etches really nice. It's kind of neat that it blends in so well :)

Wasn’t it your birthday around this same time last year? Fun episode!
The damn thing keeps following me about! 😁

Copyright problem? did Gallagher complain about you smashing a watermelon with a hammer?
I used music that said it was royalty free, however only after using it did RUclips decide to ping it as only being royalty free is SOME countries. :(
