This rings gold all the way through--but it's a burning gold, a summons. Yes, it's through suffering, and empathizing with suffering, that we begin to understand the Revelation of Baha'u'llah.
I know few family members of Akhavan, all are great people, but Dr. Payam Akhavan is best, his talk is very timely and touching. His talk is not only to Baha'i Community but for entire Humanity.
Just beautiful. Absolutely beautiful speech by this gentleman. God bless him. Love from India. May God help all of us in becoming better human beings and transforming this world into a humane society. God bless us all.
So inspiring and touching talk! I am grateful to Baha'u'llah for rendering us such dedicated friends like Dr. Payam Akhavan! I will share your inspiring talk and stories with the friends in Mongolia. With loving Baha'i greetings from Mongolia!

(October, 2020) In his talk, Dr. Akhavan refers to Rwanda. Perhaps people are / were aware of what is / was going on in Rwanda at this time with Paul Rusesabagina (recipient of the U.S. Medal of Freedom; portrayed by Don Cheadle in the film Hotel Rwanda). This was the hotel manager who saved the lives of some 1,200 Hutu and Tutsi refugees during the genocide of 1994). He was lured back to Rwanda a month or so ago and then was promptly arrested on charges of alleged "terrorism" for being in support of the political opposition to the current regime. He is currently facing a probable death sentence by an administration bent on revenge.
