❗ *PLEASE READ THIS COMMENT, IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT* ❗
    This video was filmed before the current crisis that is going on in Bangladesh, if you are not aware of what has happened and what is currently happening in Bangladesh then here is a brief summary of what is going on;
-Roughly 23,000 people die in road accidents every year in Bangladesh.
-Recently 2 students were killed by a speeding bus driven by an unlicensed driver.
-Teenage protestors took to the streets, checking everyone's drivers licenses, many drivers didn't have licenses.
-Huge student protests took place asking for stricter driving laws and safer roads.
-The Bangladesh election is just months away and the Bangladesh government does not want protests so the government and government supporters have taken horrific actions in an attempt to 'silence' the students, this includes; *students being brutally beaten, rape of female protestors, many people are severely injured.*
    -Students fight back.
-Mobile internet services have been disabled in an attempt to stop the flow of free speech.
I have received hundreds if not thousands of emails/messages/comments from Bangladeshi citizens that wish to remain nameless as they fear for there safety asking me for *HELP.* Both Bangladeshi and foreign Journalists have also been violently attacked for attempting to cover this disturbing story. This is far from acceptable behaviour, please do some research of your own and if you feel compelled to do so, find an article or a video of your choice and share this terrifying story on social media, we can't do much apart from spread awareness and let the rest of the world know that we do not condone these disgusting actions. Here is a petition that you can sign made by the local Bangladeshi people:
    www.change.org/p/united-nations-we-want-justice-human-rights-violence-happened-in-bangladesh
*Please sign it, every name counts.*
Here is a BBC article you can read:

That overloaded truck at the beginning was classic. I have no idea how they manage to carry a load that's twice the size of the truck itself, but pretty impressive. Great to see Barbara back in your videos, it'll be cool to hear more about her story and her perspective on Bangladesh.

    • @IndigoTraveller

Yeah, Gabe, those trucks are hectic! Would love to get Barbara more involved but she's not much of a fan of the camera. Next time🍻

I like how simple and honest your presentation is! Often simple is beautiful........ just sit back and let the locals be them, Doing what they normally do you capture life and culture of rather unknown parts of the world unadulterated! That is art!

I am so happy you are able to show us these videos and we can see the country for what it really is! Beautiful people and landscapes. Hearing about the recent troubles the people of Bangladesh have been experiencing makes me so sad and I feel helpless. From someone who was born and raised in Canada, it is so hard to comprehend living through such corruption and disregard for safety.

Thank you for raising awareness in comments about the current happenings in Bangladesh. Always upstanding, you are. I was wondering how Barbara was handling it all, so thank you for addressing that! Such a bustling place with so much going on. It’s nice to see the contrast of somewhere further out. Looking forward to more! ✌🏼👍🏼💗

I love what Nick said in his N. Korea Q & A video that if he only went to the places that he agreed with the gov't 100% of the time, he wouldn't even be able to step foot in his own country. I love my country and the people, but I guarantee you that much of what my country does makes me wince. The best I can do is to raise my children to be critical thinkers about the world they live in and love people.

Gotta say, i love the rawness of south Asia. Went to India once, and at first, the whole vibe of things was very overwhelming. But it definitely grows on you. Love the cuisine as well, it has flavor as opposed to danish cooking tradition lol. And thanks for raising awareness concerning the protests, i wouldn't have known about it if it wasn't for you. Stay safe, Nick.

You can visit Saint Martin's Island not really far from Cox's bazar. And also You should visit Sajek Valley in Rangamati. Which is about 300 km from Cox's Bazar. That is absolute been a glorious attraction in Bangladesh. (From Bangladesh)
