      It really helps the short game that move, much easier to produce the correct forward movement also once you’re set up in the backswing.

      Thanks, it really helps me. I've done another video on this subject as well, ruclips.net/video/rqNy60S1iCQ/видео.html , using a weaker grip to achieve the same result, might be worth a look also.

    I do chip like I putt, and it works pretty well. But this is actually pitching. I’ll have to try this tomorrow.

      Yes chipping is a bit of a different discipline. You can get away with chipping pretty much with a putting stroke, with a few set up tweeks but ultimately if you can master this technique it can benefit all your short game shots.

    Every clown says chip like you putt , awful advice , this guy says rotate your left wrist , finally some one tells the truth . a pitching iron (or whatever) is not designed like a putter , so by turning your wrist at takeaway (not too much) you would be able to get the bottom of your wedge to work also(it automatically happens) ......and you will get great results , i tried it and it works. People who say chip like you putt , dont listen too them . A putter and your chipper are a totally different club!

      Glad you agree, it takes a bit of believing for some people this, but it does help massively.

    Great Video. What Course is that?

      @golffm6924  3 года назад +1

      Thanks a lot The course is North Berwick's East Links, known as the Glen Golf Club. It's pretty underrated, the West Links is the really famous one in the town but ours is an absolute must play if you're in the area. Unbelievable views on every hole and a really great variety of holes. Hopefully see you there one day.

    Those lies you were hitting off of looked kinda tight but you still were able to use the bounce. Was wondering is there ever such a margin where you have to change your setup when you don’t think the bounce will help? I’m always amazed how the pros rarely stub one even on tight lies.

      You don't need to worry about using tge bounce as much when its sitting up in semi rough but I would say pretty much all other lies benefit from avoiding snagging the leading edge down into the surface and that using the bounce is the safest way to play, its why the top Pros do it that way, it provides a safety net in a way, ensuring they don't hit it heavy.
