I hope at some point we can see a rg or mg mazinger kit at some point cause a mazinger inner frame would be a lot of fun to build with all the gimmicks mazinger Z actually has
T H I C C Also, I thought it's just panel lines but as we look closer, there's actually details underneath the lines. That's very nice! Hopefully if Bandai decides to release a PG version of this, they'd utilize those spaces. I reckon it'll be sick looking painted and all. Edit: 8:46 what are thoooooooseee?!
Those heel pieces could've just been clear pieces of plastic in the shape of smoke trail. It already has clear piece for the cockpit anyway. That way it wouldnt have to be so ugly and it would also add some effect parts to pose with
REALLY nice kit. I do find it funny tho, that this has the normal Pilder instead of the Jet Pilder as it is supposed to be an "upgraded" Z. That said, if you had a 1/60 scale Gundam, it would've been nice to see it beside Z, as the specs of Mazinger state that he's 18 meters tall (unless they changed that for that movie), which is similar to the height of many Gundams.

This model is really impressive. The silver parts need to be painted, the poor plastic injection marks are very evident. The rest only needs panel lining. Also, you can paint the chest heat sinks in gold for a good reflection.
Hey, got little question for veterans. I introduced my brother into the hobby, gave him some tools and tips how to remove parts from the sprues, he even assembled by himself his first kit some time ago. Problem is he's disabled and he can't even go outside nowadays because you know what, and he's getting really bored. Can someone recommend me some HG (or easier MG) that is not very difficult (he can't handle parts smaller than polycaps) that has a lot of parts and will take long time to assemble. I'm thinking about thunderbolt psycho zaku or full armor unicorn.
9:40 I think you should compare it with same 1/60 scale with other gundam kits, not compare it with 1/48 scale kits.. just wondering how different of height if 1/60 Mazinger Z compare with other gundam 1/60 scale kits.
About comments saying it's off scale, correct me if i'm wrong: this mazinger is 1/60 scale, yes? Those mega size rx78 and rx0 are 1/48, yes? So i think these commenters would be less confused if you compared this mazinger with perfect grade granddaddy and unicorn?
Im actually a big fan of the mega size kits i just dont have enough space for em all.lol the unicorn takes up so much desk space already. Once i build the RX78-2 I wont even have the space for the pc.lol
Yeah this thing is definitely not 1/60 scale. The size of the pilder is a dead giveaway. Mazinger Z is supposed to be about as big as a skyscraper. He's much bigger than an average Gundam.
i think you are right, the cockpit size does not feel 1/60 scale, it looks too small, made worse that in the movie itself it could fit two people, it's either the Pilder has a super cramped cockpit that happens to can accommodate two persons or Kouji and LISA are midgets, no offense to midgets though, lol.

If we're going to get a PG version it's just going to a mg version lmao
now i want a 1/60 Grendizer!
@Budgie Cat the Mazinger Z from tge Infinity movie was never stated to be bigger than regular Z, 18 meters.
Mazinger Z is a giant robot, so 1/60 scale for this is all right. If its was a Mega Size it will be about 3 1/2 feet tall.
My Gooooood I really hope they do a 1/60 scale Mazinkaiser Infinity... I would cry

Just bought this and im gonna paint all the cracks in gold to make it like at the end of the movie
Would have been nice if you had shown a PG in the size comparison, since it is in the same scale

? He does exactly that. Check at 10:10
@@mehulsahai4209 More or less. Z is 1/60 scale, while both Unicorn and 78-02 are 1/48. So basically, they're in a bigger scale compared to Z.
@@chassegallerie2910 ah I see, forgot the mega size gundams are 1/48th
I think during my live stream someone said the Mazinger is supposed to be 25m tall?
@@ZakuAurelius Ya, I just read to be sure, in the original serie, he's 18m and 25 in the infinity movie.
I see some Super Robot Wars 1/60 scale altogether in that video! heheh
Hi...need some advise. What do you think of this kit finished with flat clear finish?
i'm thinking getting hg mazinger z or grendizer..can help me decide. thank. you!
scaling is kinda off. Unicorn (Destroy Mode) = 21.7 m, Mazinger Z (Infinity) = 25 m, RX-78-2 = 18 m.
Mazinger z is 1/60. RX78 and RX0 used here is 1/48.

I'd put up Giant Robo or Tetsujin 28 before Go-Lion tbh

Will the great mazinger also come out?
That Mazinger comes with Crocs. Ha ha
I thought this was more of a pg then a mega, it looks really detailed.
@Black Chandelier Mirage probably i know nothing about the mazinger z either
The Pilder and the pilot are definitely not in proper scale.
I don't think so
I know the pieces are colored but do people paint these kits as well?
yep! I painted this kit later! you can find it in my Completed Builds playlist
Is this PG or just a bigger version of the HG one?
More like the latter. It’s similar to a very large HG. Like a Mega-Size Gundam kit
This guy looks great
Where i can buy it??
When are you going to build the 1/24 scale RX-78 HY2M?
Lol never
@@ZakuAurelius what about the RG G3?
Fantastic video...... and i need this now! :)
Looks so awesome!
Is this kit discontinued?
I still wish they made an Iron Kaiser model

Thunderbolt Psycho Zaku and Full Armour Unicorn? Literally the worst options for a beginner. Try the HG Barbatos Lupus.
Why make size comparisons to mega-size gundams and not similarly scaled PGs?
Cause even though it’s a different scale it’s basically the same as a megasize. 🤷♂️

Yes but the point of my comparison was just to comment on the size of the thing, not the scale
@@ZakuAurelius yup. I totally got what you meant. It's for some confused people in the comments section.

That's the only reason I didn't buy the Unicorn yet. I do own the rx78-2 though
I always forget rx78 is pretty small

Yeah there are two seats in the cockpit, they’re tiny

No comparison to a 1/60 kit and get a scale of these suits when they are together in a crossover? Ruined the video there.
Omg
The point was to show the size of the kit compared to other very large kits, nothing to do with the scale.
