if he got the "burn everything till white ashes" buff like how joe got it on his fight with jose,i'm pretty sure sendo could win or probably put a draw, costing his entire career/life.

When Wally started throwing smashes near the end, once he knew he would lose, because he wanted Sendo to see how Ricardo would try to counter them...that really solidified how much I loved Wally as a character. He's always so carefree but in that moment he saw a chance to help his friend and went for it even though he could've just thrown in the towel.
The fight showed many things contextually; 1) Sendou realizes his future opponent is not only as savage (if not more than) as Alfredo, but FAR better at applying it. Sendou will have to find a way to use his savagery more efficiently if he wants to win. 2) Wally was a Monster, but still lacked the final piece that Ricardo and Takamura have, similarly to Ippo who lost his drive before he reached it. The depth of that term is far wider and deeper than we're lead to believe and even becoming one just means another journey. 3) How similar Ricardo and Ippo are is a wonderful comparison of the genuine pursuit of strength and the costs one must or may pay. Ricardo pursued it wholeheartedly and is now alone, but Ippo ultimately forgoed it and found fulfillment in his relationships. Boxing isolated one, but brought the other community.
i think Ricardo is gona kill Sendo but sendo is gona perm damage shoulder or something of ricardo, and Ippo is gona get his drive back, get his monster side and win with weakened Ricardo.
@@MP-oj6zo Nah, I think Sendo isn't going to die; but he will take heavy brain damage. Probably becoming punch drunk, like Ippo thought that he himself was. Essentially mirroring Kamogawa and Nekota's past. Ricardo is a beast on Takamura's level. But since he's boxed so long, and has basically mastered the craft, Ricardo hasn't had to go full throttle for a long-time. I think Sendo is going to push Ricardo to the point of bringing back his savagery, showing everyone how ruthlessly he can be. They might even show snippets of when Ricardo was an up and comer, and how he took the belt from the last champ. Ippo will finally be that boxer that takes Ricardo to the brink, and finally beats him with Kamogawa's true Iron Fist. Got to remember, most Mexican boxers get ruthless in heated matches. Ricardo has just been playing with kids for his time with the belt. But each recent fight with this newer generation has been bringing that drive back, knocking the rust off a killing machine.
Imagine if Wally didn't rely so much on his talent and decided to study boxing more profoundly to hone his skills... boy would be even more monstruous than he already is.
That was an problem in his fight vs ippo, but not against ricardo. Miguel did say (if I remember right) that his ideal of boxing is to cultivate talent with training, not suppress it. In this case, that means that wild child style.
Tbh it's the same as the Bryan hawk situation. If they actually trained, their instincts wouldn't be sharp, meaning they wouldn't be able to dodge and hit as much as they do.
@@Roz_zoR I wouldn't say it's whether their instincts would be dulled or not, it's that it's just not their style to box orthodox. There's the possibility that Miguel could try rewiring their style completely, and they capitalize on their athleticism. But if they train to fight by textbook, they just won't be able to reach the same peak of skill, since that's just not how they box. And it's really unfortunate that peak textbook boxing does logically defeat peak instinct/talent, since Wally's an awesome character. Speaking of Hawk tho, I can't really say that Takamura is at the same level as Ricardo, ability-wise, so it would've been nice if hawk won.

That's not what he said technically, he said that he has no other strategy but his polished basics. People say he didn't give his all because he didn't show his bloodthirsty wild side, which he used against Date. Except on his last two shots.
if i'm not mistaken Ricardo is a Mexican fighter so yeah...i'm not at all surprised that his actual style is much more savage....their natural style just seems MUCH more aggressive and for lack of a better way to put it savage/violent dudes that kinda just fight like they're truly enjoying hurting people(not breaking rules but just SMASHING)
