This reminds me of a one person play we had on campus. It was the story of a Hiroshima survivor and her fathers ghost. The man performing the play only had a book and a chair. Yet you felt like you were their in a small shack.
Sounds like a play I'd enjoy. Is this production by chance something I could find over the net?
@@lisuga8802 It probably isn't since the man said he found the play book at a discounted store in japan 15 years ago. I wish it was though it's a beautiful story because it highlights how the survivors were treated afterwords
@@lindsaydale307 I had a look for it online and the only play I could find about survivors of hiroshima was _The Face of Jizo_ or _Chichi to Kuraseba_ . I can't find the actual text online but could you tell if this is it by chance?

It was more of a flash of light that grew. Everyone was incenerated, no slow painfuls deaths unless you were really far from the blast but close enough for the radiation and heat.

Thats actually very far from the truth theres many levels. Look up charts of increasing/decreasing distance and the effects of each. Those closest would be incinerated immediately but many surrounding would have melted similar to as shown. Not to mention because of the rays for a few seconds you would be able to see through everyone's skin to their bones. Also look up the alligator ant people of Hiroshima ans Nagasaki. Also there's a video of British soldiers describing what it was like for them watching a test nuke out at sea and how traumatizing it was and how many of them have cancer or deformities or gave their kids deformities. Nuclear warfare is one of the most horrific, cruel and downright inhumane things to EVER exist.

If you're feeling remorse, remember that they literally dived into boats as suicide bombers and called it an honorable death (kamikaze), bombed American ships at Pearl Harbor, never gave up, and did unethical treatment to Prisoners of War. So if you're saying the atomic bomb was unnecessary and unethical, I suggest reading into WW2 a bit more.

No, I didn't use any brushes or effects on this video or in any other video on the channel aside from the first upload. The only manipulation I usually ever do to the source videos I use is cropping its borders to make it look centered on the screen and reveal the colored background I've placed behind. This is just for aesthetic ressons. The dated look I assume you are interested in in this video is authentic, as the version of the movie I used for it doesn't seem to be a recent release (probably an old DVD release), thus the general color palette.
