This place was magnificent. And I think I say that all the time, but it was😁. Unfortunately it was really dark but the detail and the trim and everything was just beautiful.
RICHIEEE this is a really nice old theater. I love all of the detail you pointed out. I'm shocked to see the red curtains hanging up. The glass block windows are really neat. You really don't see them anymore. Are they called which windows? I believe that is the name. You even found the old 5 foot floor to shoulder urinals. I think they are making a come back. I have seen them in a few newer restaurants and stores.
We're always prepared and careful, cause ya just never know. Some places it's expected to run into them and others not so much. It's important when going into these places that we watch out for one another and are very aware of our surroundings, which we're great at doing. But yes... always aware and careful.
Yes, we always enter expecting to come across squatters, but honestly we rarely run into them. It is there, but it's much more rare than you would think. I always arm myself with situational awareness in anything life, but especially abandoned places. We have run into people multiple times over the years. It's usually been good, but nothing wrong with taking in all inputs from everything around you. I have only had one bad experience over the years and I just walked away that time. When it comes down to it, none of us own it, but these places are thier homes and I respect that. I just keep my distance and everything is fine. But the majority of the time its just fine, and sometimes these people will take you on the tour of the place and show you all the spots, even give you some history. If they get that involved, I'll drop them 20 bucks to grab some food or whatever afterwards. I'd have to say it's usually a pleasant experience, but I'm always on my guard and ready, just in case one doesn't turn out that way. Not looking to fight with anybody,, just want to get me and my friends out, but luckily it's only come to that one time in the 30 years or so that I've been chasing history. And I just got the hell out that one time
It was amazing. We were there for a bit and I did film more but unfortunately it was just too dark to do anything with. We did walk around a while and just take it all in though. We were really able to get lost in the past for a little while🙂
No, never on full length videos. I only add music on shorts. The full videos, I just want to share the full experience we have as we grace these floors. I'm glad we did this one. It was phenomenal history, absolutely beautiful, and I'm always comfortable exploring with you and friends I have met through you🙂. We always have a great time
Interesting, thank you for that. I did not know what it was made of but thise earlier pastics and plastic like things were brittle and always extremely flammable. I looked into it to learn a little more about it and I say it was used until the early 50s. I will revisit it later on tonight. This is one of those midnight Google searches that I end up going down some rabbit hole and chasing things I never knew I wanted to know. 🤣. Those things get so addicting. And before you know it, it's 2 hours later. But history is just so damn interesting when to start learning where everything we have now originally came from and how it was derived, it's just so damn addictive
Brother, this place was amazing. Extraordinarily dark, and a lot stripped out over the years. But the woodwork!!! The trim, the details, the columns and polls.. Ceilings, the railings themselves, everything was freaking fabulous. Then some of the original lighting was there, ruff, but there, and the entire projector room. I've been in a lot of old buildings that've been abandoned since we were younger. But this entire place was from a different era, a different generation I guess is the best way to put it
Great video as always!!
Thank you. This one was absolutely amazing. Such beautiful somehow still here. This is the kind of place you see in old movies
Beautiful place.
It truly was. She's in rough shape but such a beautiful piece of history.
Don't know it's fate, but it survived this long, Thankfully
Excellent explore! Thank you.

Do you prepare yourselves for encountering “squatters” in interior spaces such as these? Be careful!!

Wow, that is a beautiful building, I could have watched much more of that.

I'm so glad you didn't add music to this.

"FIRE-TITE" film containers were necessary because early film was celuloid, which is extremely flammable.
Interesting, thank you for that.
