      This looks easy but it’s complex to do hands on, the man hours and effort needed to fabricate is insane.

    It's very interesting to see the front end being constructed like this. Makes a change from the little fabricated pieces being cut in, as good as that is.

    Repairing a car that has already had lots of previous bodging is a real skill, it makes for so much more work, thankfully I bought a car that had never been touched
    this is a fantastic repair that will last, and the attention to detail is stunning,

    One of my dream cars, if I had one, it would be classic on the outside, but brand new up to date latest tech and interior, back seat delete too for room as I'm over 6ft

    Brings back a lot of memories. If I remember correctly you could get the gutter rail on the wing on its own ? And turret plates.

    Hello 👋 Steve and Ryan I guess I came in rather late I haven't been able to watch anything today I went to the funeral of my cousin and I went to the hospital to see my uncle he is dying of cancer his blood pressure dropped so low they can't get a reading 💔 he is still hanging in there so far but I'm afraid he won't be here much longer..excellent job Steve I love to see the structural of how cars are made especially unibody construction, tell Ryan I said hello 👋

    Yup, that's a tonne of work!!! Good thing decent panels are still available for the Mk1. Are they Colgan parts? They fit up really nicely.

      @@yorkshirecarrestoration sold it for £230 in 1979. It had a new engine, suspension top plates, chassis rails, front wings, sills, new headlights, shocks, and a re spray. All in 4 years. It rotted round me whilst I owned it. I’d still have one though.😊

    Are there actually. Mk1 RS 2000s , i was always under the impression that the RS 2000 started with the mk2 , and the mk1 had the 1600 sport , and Mexico . suddenly something ive never seen around is mk1 RS 2000s seems to be a thing .

      the Mk1 had a 1300 sport, 1300 gt, 1600gt, Lotus Twin Cam, rs1600, mexico ,1300e and rs2000, these were the sportier models
