You guys just make it look easy, but easy it is not. You have a fine tuned approach to getting it all spot on
Thank you 👍
This looks easy but it’s complex to do hands on, the man hours and effort needed to fabricate is insane.
Nice work Steve alot of people don't realise the cost of restoration on older cars and the time spent making it all fit .Channels like yours reveal the time it takes to create a finished product well done. Cheers.
As usual absolutely amazing work. Please folks who watch these video's hit the like button and get this channel up to the numbers it deserves.
Thank you John for all your support :) 👍
Exactly right ✅️ I wish 🤞 everyone would hit the like and subscribe button
It's very interesting to see the front end being constructed like this. Makes a change from the little fabricated pieces being cut in, as good as that is.
Thank you yep it's a change :)
brilliant job steve a master at work
Thank you, it's really appreciated :)
🎉 The Escort is waking up in a whole new body...😮...happy to see...😂...Greetings from South-Africa.
Steve, your work is amazing, great editing, and great positive energy 👍👍👍
Repairing a car that has already had lots of previous bodging is a real skill, it makes for so much more work, thankfully I bought a car that had never been touched
this is a fantastic repair that will last, and the attention to detail is stunning,
She looking good already guys I love the old escorts can’t wait to see the finished product.
G'day there watching from Australia love the content of your videos the workmanship on these cars is amazing look forward to seeing more 👌
Amazing how these cars have grown in value to the point this amount of work is justified. I'm glad because I think a good Ford Escort is a superb ride
Some serious talent, and skills on complete different level, you have opened my eyes into bodywork restoration ❤❤❤
Glad we could help :)
Splendid work. Better than when it was new.
Can’t wait to see this finished.
Love the progress. And for all the sponsors and potential sponsors for God's sake please 🙏 send Steve a padded floor creeper.
Fantastic workmanship. 👍👍
Thank you Norman :)
Outstanding work. Enjoyable to watch 👍
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it :)
Great werk. I drove one of these from 1979 until 1983. I still miss it.
Me too.
Looks so good when everything lines up properly. Excellent work as usual. 👍
One of my dream cars, if I had one, it would be classic on the outside, but brand new up to date latest tech and interior, back seat delete too for room as I'm over 6ft
Great work Steve, glad you are happy with how the front wing gaps are looking to the bonnet, scuttle and doors 😎
The front end is really starting to take shape now.
Nice job on the shut lines and gaps. Better than new...lol...🤔😳😏😏😏😏🇬🇧
Brings back a lot of memories. If I remember correctly you could get the gutter rail on the wing on its own ? And turret plates.
As always a great watch Steve top stuff
Thank you Chris it much appreciated :)
Fabulous work Steve, so enjoyable to watch.
Bril!. Always a fascinating watch!. The skills and attention to detail are amazing!. Hate to think what you charge for such professional work! (Worth every penny!). 🤣. Can't wait for the next clip!. Nuff said!. 🙂

Did it take a lot of measuring, cutting and fabricating the bonnet prop? --- lol, great work as always Steve.
You sir are an artiiiiist!
bloody marvlous steve
Looking good as always ! where's the latest LJ80 update ???
Lj80 has been put on hold till Mats car is finished. Won't be long :)
Kudos Steve! I thought I noticed rust at the rear of the driver's inner arch on the bulkhead?
Glad you listened to my previous comment and sourced the correct wing fillet
Yup, that's a tonne of work!!! Good thing decent panels are still available for the Mk1. Are they Colgan parts? They fit up really nicely.
Great video 👍 If you need turret top dimensions give retropower a call 😅
We have dimensions thank you, it's not the first one we have done, also even if we didn't it's readily available information. But thank you for watching.
@@yorkshirecarrestoration I knew you would have the dimensions and this wasn't your first mk1 🤣
and you know what you're doing keep it up we all learn something from your videos.
Superb work as ever Steve - Beautiful!
Thank you Colin :)
Cracking video as always. Only wish they could be longer.
Thank you. Yes we are working on that :)
Good work lads , what the best underbody Schultz /textured finish out of a can you'd recommend, seen you use a few with the trigger adaptor thing on?
Best would be the upol raptor. It's a two pack activated coating :)
Really coming along great 👍
It is :)
👍
Fabuleux travail extraordinaire !
Thank you for watching :)
👍👍👍
Nice work dun well to get car wher it is naw 👍 😀 👌 👏
Stunning as always Steve.
Thank you Bob :)
Always wanted one in the 70s but could only afford a low spec Mexico. Busting to see this one finished.
The Mexico are a very desirable car now days :)
@@yorkshirecarrestoration sold it for £230 in 1979. It had a new engine, suspension top plates, chassis rails, front wings, sills, new headlights, shocks, and a re spray. All in 4 years. It rotted round me whilst I owned it. I’d still have one though.😊
Great job! Thank You for sharing 🤗👍💯
Thank you it's our pleasure :)
@@yorkshirecarrestoration congratulations once again ⭐💐
Great job
Thanks :) 👍
Nailed it once again!
Thanks jess :)
I have seen Swiss cheese with less holes in them😂
The wing fillets look good but you're going to have to do that windscreen base soon!
Yep hence why they aren't welded in yet :)
…..good stuff !
Thank you :)
Strange why the fenders on the Escorts weren't bolted on, - like so many in the Ford family !
Yep always puzzles me :)
It's coming on
Thank you :)
👍👍👍😎😎😎
👍👍
Are there actually. Mk1 RS 2000s , i was always under the impression that the RS 2000 started with the mk2 , and the mk1 had the 1600 sport , and Mexico . suddenly something ive never seen around is mk1 RS 2000s seems to be a thing .
the Mk1 had a 1300 sport, 1300 gt, 1600gt, Lotus Twin Cam, rs1600, mexico ,1300e and rs2000, these were the sportier models
Has anyone ever put a v8 into one of these?
Stupid question, of course there are loads.
@@amandafullagar4133thanks i never knew the RS 2000 was a mk1 model
It was the 50th Anniversary of the Mk1 RS2000 this year
RS ? Does that mean Rat Shit.
komentar pertama😂
Haha well done :)
Great work
Thank you Simon :)
