To annoy you by triggering touch on the screen when you hold it, make it easier to brake, and make it harder for 3rd parties to produce screen replacements thus limit you to specific supplier/repair shops and inflate repair prices.
P.S. If they still run it on windows phone it will be rendered obsolete - rubbish. Nokias greatest mistake isin't how they designed and manufactured phones but cooperating and signing a contract with Microsoft and their junk phone OS - true fact
