This is the third recording from what we dubbed the "War Project" (even though this song isn't from "War," but who's counting).
I look forward to bringing you more remote collaborations with the guys from "Rattle and Hum", a Salt Lake-based U2 tribute band that I met when I lived in SLC. In fact, Phil is a fellow attorney, and if you've been paying attention, you've seen him on other U2 covers on my channel (known as "The Phil") live from the Pie. Phil, Ty, Cam and I performed an acoustic-ish U2 set at the Irish pub "Piper Down" in SLC under the name "Achtung Babies," so this isn't our first time working together. I look forward to our future collaborations.

At 4:40 the sticks guy even managed to sneak in the fill from Pride (In the Name of Love)... 🙂 Great rendition of a great song, the low timbre at the start would fit The Unforgettable Fire or (particularly) Love Comes Tumbling ideally imho.

Love this song, I discovered this by my dad, who is the greatest cover artist I have ever heard, since then I have been exposed to many variations of 80s music, these people have talents that could help them out to be super popular artists than they are now, im so grateful to have access to this musical artistry, its making it easier to understand what I should do later in life. ❤

I am very hesitant to comment on my own work. The production on this project began in June of 2021. The crazy thing is that 90% of the content was created in a three month stretch, 18 months ago. The reason for the delay is that the members of this “band” are all perfectionists and divas in our own right. When I heard the first mix, I hated it and basically forbid it from being shared.
I have known the bass player since he was 13- we are close friends, and he has always been a better guitar player than I am.
I have known the drummer since we were 16. We couldn’t stand to be in the same room together unless we were making music- now, after a long journey, it’s other people who don’t want to be in the same room with the two of us.
I met Mike over a decade ago. Before he was a celebrity, he was just a lowly lawyer and civil servant looking for a bigger world. Then he was forced into the vast abyss of the universe by one of God’s dice rolls. Lucky for all of us.
I have watched this video a few times now. I am very proud of it. I think it is maybe the best tribute I have ever heard to one of the best songs ever written. If U2 heard this cover, I wouldn’t blush at all.

Oh wow, I found your beetles yesterday song (performed in a pizza shop of all places) over a decade ago. Good cover and played it a lot back then. Sadly have to admit I haven’t seen you since, now almost a decade and half later I come across you again after another song search.
