Skated dellwood with you back in the day and its super fun to see this. I remember all of the old mokena vids and watched them all growing up it was a blast. Stoked to see how far you took it!
Dude Covid times at Dellwood was fun
if i kickflip boardslide that rail for your birthday you could have done it hahaha. so good seeing you skate this it also makes the clips at the end look even more insane.
Knew it was mokena from the thumbnail lol. Dude a lot of people grew up skating there, going back to like the late 90s I think? Hasn’t changed a bit. Watched a kid shatter both arms rolling down the pyramid on rollerblades. Went back there a couple years ago and yea that mini ramp is still so sick.
There was a huge contest there right around 2000. I had no idea that many skaters existed until that moment.
Lastly, I had no idea before this video but it makes total sense, your the most south suburban person I could imagine.
I heard Tony hawk went there back in the day haha
Dude my local skatepark has this exact layout and obstacles. I think the same company made them. It's the oddest design ever lol.
While Niles Skate Park in Niles Skate Park was the first skate park I went to, O'Brien Skate Park in South Bend, Indiana is really my OG park. I started going to Niles Skate Park when I just learned ollies while in motion. There wasn't really anything for beginners there, though it did teach me the basics on how to balance at a skate park. But I did take what I learned there, and then brought what I learned and started developing at O'Brien more. BTW While that is your OG Skate Park, you can't forget Grant Skate Plaza is where you started to make a name for yourself.
When the skate park is really just a weird street spot with no cops.
theres literally almost a 1 for 1 copy of this park in Moses Lake Washington but they recently added some super legit concrete obstacles to it this past year.
I remember the first time I came here I saw that quarter pipe and though "oh cool a qp, I'll pop tart that real quick " hauled ass and just crash right into it
Same park as homewood. Literally to the t, same obstacles in the same spot.
Ouch. Kicker to hand. That looks like something I would do.
Look up Cherryville Nc skatepark if you think this is bad
gnarly ass shit when you were a kid.. bad ass.
Yo cole I saw you on instagram at frontier park, that’s my local, you think your gonna go back there at all while your in town?
I can beat you. It’s called no skate park.
You should see the only skate park in Carlsbad New Mexico it is 10 times worse
Those shoes are clean asf
That park was built by skateparks international.
No way I skate this park like 2 to 3 times a week because it’s right next to my house
ur brother was so mean in that clip lol
This vid was super relatable, I’m from Missouri so i know how it feels
Midwest gang
Nyjah would have schooled you bro
😂😂😂
We skated that park one time as a joke because we knew it was that bad
nah the worst park in the world is in huntington beach on the corner of a highschool
Murdy 😂😂
@@ImLaprasify lol is that what it’s called?
bro was mongo pushinnnngg
Yeah look at him now ripping.
Thats a W there a mini ramp!!
If you think that’s bad just wait till you see my local 😭
Can we get some grant clips? Used to skate that park all the time but I got injured really bad and can’t skate no more. Some clips at grant would be tight.
Mecosta skatepark in Michigan is 10x worse. They would be stoked to have this, I promise you. That quarter pipe is wild though! Holy shit.
Clicked this knowing it was mokena, also grew up down the street from it mainly when I started skating to 💯 glad I’m only 25-30 min from grant now
This park looks like Woodward compared to my local. Trust me, this park is not as bad as alot of other parks out there.
They just demoed and rebuilt Alsips park. It’s alright but the OG was 10 times better. Most parks built in the 2000s I like way more than new stuff getting built today
I grew up at this park too!! The quarter pipes had cracks at the bottom of them and it was basically like doing a wall ride to a crack. It was horrible and I’m pretty sure they took down the half pipe too 😢
Bro this makes me miss old Dellwood so bad, at least the hip and small Fun box rail were better than Mokena. Not to mention that beauty of a double decker box!
Bro been good asf
4:04 shit hurt so bad bro couldn’t finish his sentence 😭😭
