    I'm in Winnipeg, Manitoba and yes, it is a great place, we are a family of 4 and our rent is about 1300$ without hydro. And yeah, weather is not so great but the city have a great transit system and is a good place to stay. We like also to consider the small rural town nearby (like Steinbach, St Pierre Jolys, St Anne , Winkler, Morden, Selkirk, portage la Prairie etc and Brandon) of course . These have lower rental cost but it is not for everyone if you don't like quiet, small town or medium town

    1000 CAD is around 683 Euro. I have my own house in the Netherlands and pay 520 Euro mortgage each month, very lucky to bought my house 10 years ago just at the right moment! So there are options for me to live in Canada in a city like Edmonton or Regina, maybe I will emigrate to Canada after I payed my house with great profit 🤪 ( at least 2x netto worth by now) and live in a smaller place around the mountains. I am in love with mountains. But honoustly, for economic/social utilities etc. reasons it is folly to change the Netherlands for almost any other country in the world. But for natures beauty, scenery etc, Canada is heaven on earth ❤

      Netherlands is one of the most comfortable countries to live in, especially if you were born there. And for mountains - you’ve got the alps with a quick flight!

    Hi, I love watching your videos & they are very informative. I am immigrating to Canada in the summer of 2024. I am going to Halifax & I see rent is very expensive over there. Is every place in the Atlantic provinces expensive & is it worth moving there or is it better to move to Alberta or Quebec. Can you make a video on this it would be informative. Thank you looking forward to your next videos.

    I pay 450€ (650CAN) including all bills for a 32 m2 studio apartment per month in Germany. Small town near Düsseldorf. In Düsseldorf I would be about 200-300€ more

    Interesting analysis, but those cities with good rents have cold and long winters. Mobility is restrictive due to poor weather. What is so nice about living in a refrigerator or freezer. Food is likely to be more expensive in these places because they are transported by trucks and trains to the middle of Canada.

      There is indeed sadly a tradeoff between cost of living and climate and living conditions :(

    Schools in Québec may be less expensive, however recent policies have doubled tuition fees for out-of-province students who study at an English-language institution. This increase does not apply to studies at a French-language school.
    Language politics aside, Quebec City is beautiful. I’ll be there for Xmas.

      All Universities in Quebec are subsidized by the Governement of Quebec at a cost of $17,000. per student fo french and english universities . There is no change of tuition fees for any students french or english speakers born and raised in Quebec . Students have the opportunities to be bilingual but unfortunately , foreign students come to Montreal at a lower cost paid by Quebec tax payers with no intention to learn french or work in Quebec ... McGill, Concordia and Bishops foreign students benefit low cost tuition fees paid by Quebec tax payers ( $ 17,000 per student) and these students return in their countries and provinces afterwards. Since Quebeckers are bilingual , they will still study at any universities in Quebec at low cost. If you study and any USA or British top universities , it will cost you at least $ 60,000 . per year.

    You should have include Victoria BC on this list, probably very similar to Halifax or Calgary, but it would be interesting to see the prices on this city.

    • @murraytown4
      @murraytown4 Год назад +1

      Victoria is more expensive than Calgary or Halifax by far. It’s a bit less than Vancouver but not by much. It’s certainly more expensive than Ottawa which is also on the upper end of this list.

But why there is missinformation about that territory? Also I feel that not everebody highlights this place and it is underrated as a result.
