Lowkey, this is one of the most unfortunate franchises in the NBA since the year 2000, yet nobody refers to them as being cursed.
"Just think of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard together on opposite wings for one second" sounds familiar
💀💀I just realized thay
@@kabeperry4702 yep.
lmao
💀💀💀 must feel fking bad for indiana
Irony
If he only knew what he said about Kawhi and PG would come to fruition.
Oj Lol right
Greatest explanation of Malace at Palace. “Bad foul... bottle gets thrown... something, something, something, everyone’s night is ruined” 😂
That over exaggerated line up was never a championship team!
🤭
Yawn, that team is over rated and over exaggerated.
Young Love you had to comment that twice?
@@younglove3362 yawn this opinion was uwanted the first time
@@younglove3362 looser
0:18 “Franchises that makes the playoffs as frequently as a mumble rapper makes a good song” 😂😂😂😂😂 Bruh I died!
Your ads transitions are as smooth as a perfectly done heel-toe downshift.
Salia Berthe he right tho
TEAM CLASSIC SONIC Fr fr
yea i agree!
The Pacers got a video. I could shed a tear right now!!
Is this something to be proud of?
This video hurts me as a Pacers fan. We always come close but never get there
If our young players step up Myles Aaron and domantas we will be a dark horse contender
I think it’s cuz you guys are really at drafting guys that can be the 2nd or 3rd best player on a true championship team as well as drafting good but not great players
I am a Pacers fan too and I was at Oladipo's last game before his injury
You never really had a chance vs the heat in 2012,2013 and 2014 cause they had better depth
Ha! Ha!👇😆👎
time to take a trip down memory lane :(
CSB I’m right with u man🙁 oh and I’m a big fan of ur vids👍🏼
:'(
When you actually uploaded?
What did we do to deserve this 😭
First NBA youtuber I ever watched
These videos are way better than the videos about today's nba
"just imagine Paul George and Kawhi Leonard on the same team"
You spoke it into existence 👀
“Imagine Kawhi and George on opposite wings for a second”
Clippers:”Allow us to introduce ourselves”
Lmao that comment Ab Kawhi and PG at 4:48 aged well
Austin Beal lol I was scrolling for this comment
The portland trail blazers. When they had Brandon Roy Greg Ogden and Lamarcus Aldridge.. If Ogden and Roy weren't hit with the injury bug...
Greg Oden was not going to be much in the league despite his talent, because he was injury prone in college. Sad, but true... Brandon Roy was the real tragedy because that dude had talent oozing from his pores.
Johnnie Hamlin X that’s kinda just a few year span tho. You still had the Jail Blazers and the current team.
Milwaukee bucks! Although we’re changing that right now!
Arian Christopher Michael redd, Andrew Bogut, Ray Allen, 2001 Ecf, Monta Ellis, seems about right
Biased Bucks Fan Ik we were really good in 2001 but since then we’ve been mediocre at best
Biased Bucks Fan dont forget brandon Jennings
Now you have Giannis who has the potential to be the GOAT. You are lucky.
We got robbed I the 2001 ecf, George Karl fatass traded Ray for half a seasons of Gary Payton, Michael Redd had to carry a bumass bucks team that ultimately took a toll on his knees sometimes still scoring 50points and still losing, Brandon Jennings looked like he had potential but never seemed to workout as his body always stayed the same, seemed to have stamina problems end game, yeah we got monta but could have actually gotten curry instead, started drafting bums like Joe Alexander with the 6th overall pick, give massive contracts to bum ass players like Henson, delly, even ersan in his day in age right now is making 7mil a year overpriced, and now we're about to pay Middleton a Max contract for someone who in my opinion shouldn't have made the all-star and is an average player who lacks consistency and that'll be the end of our miraculous run this year oh yeah and had a dumbass coach I Jason Kidd who had a different lineup every game
I feel bad for the Pacers they were low-key my 04 pistons type team to upset everybody and win one for Indiana that way people can stop sleeping on Victor Oladipo aka Mr.Clutch
“Just stop and think for a moment about Kawhi Leonard and Paul George on opposite wings for one second”
Damn who woulda thought that this is gonna happen on the Clippers
Finally, a Pacers video. I don't care if it's negative, I'll take it.
I love how people are talking about how they thought other teams would be the subject of this video but the thumbnail only shows 2 teams and it’s obviously not the Cavs so it was obviously gonna be about the Pacers
I am a diehard Pacers fan. I loved your vid, and yeah, it's been hard. But we have optimism, always optimism. We'll see what happens. As of this recording, the Pacers are still 3rd in the east. Not bad, really.
That transition was as smooth as my stroke after jump shot trainer 🔥💪
Imagine Kawhi and PG on the same team
Yeah imagine that
Haha well ya got yer wish. Kawhi and George are playing together in 2020.
Paul George + Kawhi Leonard in the same team = Uber lockdown defense, better than Fort Knox🔒🔒🔒
Man pacer players seem to always get mip olidipo pg13 and Danny granger
They have the most in NBA history (add J.Rose and J.O'Neal as recent winners)
im not a pacers fan but vic's injury hurt me real bad. sad to see my fav player in the east hurt
This should be about the Kings...... right?
Or is it about the Bobcats/Hornets?
Wait..... the Pacers? HOW?
Cody Smith cause the Kings and Hornets were just terribly run while Pacers were actually unlucky
Edit: forgot about 2002 WCF although I wouldn’t call that unlucky, it was basically rigged, not much luck went into it
when you have your past 3 franchise player getting injured on a freak accident or misfortunes, that shit is unlucky. Also they lost their best assembled team on the worst brawl in nba history which cost them suspensions on that season which sucks
HoneyFro yeah the problem with that is the Charlotte hornets you guys have aren’t the actual 1st Charlotte hornets those are the pelicans now so no technically not
HoneyFro technically the pelicans would be worse then the hornets even tho they’re both hornets the pelicans contain the franchise history
Cody Smith it’s the unluckiest team not worst team
Oladipo is comin back better than ever just you watch
Bag of Chips and a Snapple
Cheetos got some competition now
Thank you so much for this video
😥 this made me sad thanks dom
Why are we so unlucky
Awesome Nacho 3 yea idk just happens, but good thing is Myles looked like he’s about to explode into a superstar he’s been amazing this year Holiday has a future, sabonis ofc we’ve made all the right decisions but just haven’t been good enough I guess
This video made me laugh, thanks dom.
🤣
I am a Pacer fan and I liked the video a whole lot! #chuckhayse moment 😂😭
Now Victor Oladipo is bringing the Pacers back to the top
I love watching Dom2K vids baked! This vid was absolute fire and that background beat is so perfect.
Imagine kawhi lenord and Paul George on a nba team in 2019......
I love being a pacers fan
One day we’re gonna win a chip PACER NATION STAND UP
Let me get some of that Yak and them milds with SKIIIIUUUUP! When we do 😂
I totally forgot about Roy Hibbert this past few years lmao what happened to that dude
Now Paul George and kawahi Leonard are on the same team🤣🤣 this video aged well
Your transition into ads is so smooth
Meanwhile MJ2KALLDAY just makes you cringe when HE tries it 😂😂
as a loyal pacers fan since i started watching basketball in about 2016 i have just seen fist round exit after another constant great picks being traded away like caris lavert and sorry for the spelling kawihi leonard its been rough but at least this offseason there is hope
I'm a knicks fan and we literally dont make the playoffs in the first place
Shoutout to being loyal bro. I swear one day when we win the championship, it’s gonna be the best feeling ever
We was never going to keep kawhi the spurs basically drafted kawhi we didn’t
Thank you dom, thank you man finally somebody makes a video about my pacers for once and gives them the respect they diserve
What about my supersonics?😔
Still hoping 😔..... though the OKC curse video is also satisfying 😂
To everyone in the comments the title says one of the most unluckiest franchises not the unluckiest
Pls do a pt 2 on the wizards. Ernie is one of the worst GMs ever, and he has been in office for over 15 years. One of the most frustrating things was trading a first rounder for bojan, who left after half a season, and that pick turned into Jarrett Allen. Temporary mavs fan till he gets fired :)
He played 18 games and disappeared in the playoffs. Ian Mahinmi contract hooo wee just terrible. You could argue about the Otto Porter contract but I think he could have been better had he been featured more. And man all the horrible picks. JAN VESELY?!!!
John Wall contract looks even worse now
Damn now pg13 and the claw are on the same team..
The Kings were seriously the most unfortunate NBA franchise this milenium. They were robbed against the Lakers only because they were a lower market team than the Lakers
TJ Martin Legit? How?
@@a1gamer561 The Lakers were the better team, that's all that matters. They even swept the Kings in regula season.
FP That year the Kings were the better team. They were up 3-2 in the series for a reason
The kings would have easily won it all if it wasn't for the refs
@@a1gamer561 Oh, so I guess the 2018 Rockets were better than Golden State? Lol. Gtfo
4:49 Yeah Dom, that would be crazy lol
Great video, but you really should have discussed the Pacers bad luck throughout the 90s.
“Imagine Kawhi and Paul George on the same floor together” tough
I've been watching your videos for like a week now, and all I can say is YOUR AD TRANSITIONS ARE TOO GOOD, IT CATCHES ME OFF GUARD EVERY TIME, your videos are quality though *thumbs up*
As a pacers fan, ive found a silver lining in the last 20 years. See, there have been many championships throughout NBA history, and most people couldn't tell you them all and their winner. But everyone knows about the Malice at the Palace, and we've got that honor until a bigger scuffle breaks out.
Really like video essays like this on the leagues history and not just current stuff
So there’s this place called Phoenix and it’s so forgotten that it was forgotten in this video
Please tell me about any major injury, brawl, star player that wants out that happened to phoenix.
Phoenix is Poorly run under Sarver, it isnt unlucky at all.
Stonje Ja
Major injury: multiple times to Stoudemire
Brawl: the brawl that basically prevented them from winning a championship against the Spurs (and in a Tim Donaghy reffed series)
Star player wanting out: Joe Johnson, Stoudemire, probably Booker soon, Nash leaving after eight years…
and dirk fucked yall up in '06, reallllllll bad lmao
Are you guys just not getting the point of this. This isn’t THE most unlucky team since 2000. It’s says ONE OF THE unluckiest teams since 2000. And they are overlooked and he wanted to make a video about them, it doesn’t mean another team wasn’t more worthy of the video. And Phoenix wasn’t unlucky, like ever. You landed Steve Nash. 2 time MVP. Stoudamire had injury problems but that’s about it. Since then you’ve just been terrible.
You forgot all about Roy Hibbert's disappearance
He did say Hibbert forgot how to play basketball after looking like hakeem
i just finish rewatching the case for goat and know this vid is up
2:52 maaaan, you can’t play rough like that anymore, not even close right?
These transitions be smooth asf I'm not gonna lie
Thank you for this. I'm a Pacers fan and have been thinking about this for a while
I love your videos so much spitting straight knowledge to the culture 🗣
This pacers squad gives me the grit and grind grizzlies type of vibe
😭😭😭 Dipo gonna come back next season and lead us to a chip no cap
Nahh frfr 👏🏽
Clippers were nothing before Ivica ZuGOAT came. Truly a GOAT and MVP caliber player
What you forget about Danny Granger - he had bad knees coming out of college and everyone knew it. That's the only reason he fell to 17. It was a similar situation to Brandon Roy - highly talented, but with bad knees, drafted later than he might normally go because people were concerned about how long the knees would hold up.
that ad transition was smooth tho!
Great video Dom
1.) Lost in the Finals because they just happen to finally make it when the next Dynasty is there to beat them.
2.) They were able to quickly make a new squad that became a contender in the east, just for it to be stripped away due to several people not being able to hold there temper. They couldn’t get Reggie a ring because of this, and they lost many stars.
3.) after that they get lucky enough to draft a franchise player, only to have his knees stop working when he hits his prime.
4.) but wait, they get lucky enough to draft another franchise player. They have a really good team. Only to always run into the next dynasty of the NBA every year. Then the franchise player suffers a horrific leg injury during the offseason. Missed a whole season.
5.) The franchise player wants out, letting the whole league know he won’t resign after the end of the season, squashing his trade value. Somehow, they get lucky enough to actually trade him for there next franchise player, only for him to also suffer a serious injury.
5.) Now the cycle will continue over again.
And yet despite all that misfortune, they've still managed to make the playoffs 15 out of a possible 20 seasons including this year. That's tied for the most in the eastern conference with the Celtics (and also the Heat if they qualify this season).
2:23 - Dom: "But you already know how this story goes..."
*proceeds to explain event and its implications for the next minute*
Despite all of these tragedies, Indiana has the longest home court winning streak (over 30 years), and have never drafted a player higher than 10th. We don't quit, we don't lose at home, and we do not tank. Something almost every other franchise cannot say. Go Pacers!!!
Imagine trying to make it up the floor on kawhi and PG 😂 now it's with Beverly
4:49 if he only knew..
Little did he know kahwi and george would be teamates
Bro finally someone made a video about my pacers 😭
That clip where inversion said he travelled has me rolling
I thought this video was going to be about Magic or Knicks
@Channel Channel I would argue that Magic ownership is as bad as the Knicks but in a different way. I lived in Orlando during the Shaq-Penny craze, and the town was jumping. I think Dom covered it, but the Magic seriously blew it with Shaq, because they thought they could somehow lowball him, never mind Shaq was one of the top five players in the league at the time. Never mind the Orlando Sentinel releasing that dumb ass poll about him, which was the final nail in the coffin. Shaq wasn't blameless in that situation, either, but I place the majority of it on the DeVos family.
Through the years, they are always trying to land players for more their morals than their talent, and that never works out either. Ownership was a little too worried about their self-image (with the ownership family being devout Christians and all that), than actually building a team that can compete. That's why the Magic get relegated to the lottery year after year, and nothing ever comes of the picks they make.
Oh my gosh, a vid about the pacers, I never thought I’d see the day
Finally we get a video, we need a pg that everyone will remember never had one
It's worth listening to Dom2K for the transitions to ads alone.
Like the vid, I’d say they’re rather fortunate outside of injuries of course. They’ve been in the playoffs most of these years, have like 4 or 5 ECF appearances and have had a star wing player almost every year of this millennium. The injuries are unfortunate tho, hopefully Oladipo can recover.
"can you imagine paul george and kawhi on the wing together" flash forward to now and it is reality
Oladipo should look to Paul George as inspiration. PG litterally playing like he did in 2014👀👀👀👀👀👀
The background music gets me everytime
Bro as a pacers fan y’all don’t even fuckin know. Pacers are literally waking mediocrity. Lose in the first round, lose in the first round, lose in the first round, lose your star, lose in the first round, star gets injured, most likely lose in the first round. Also losing in east finals to lebron like 35 times in a row
pg and kawhi this actually happened in 2019
eh idk, I think this video is a bit of a stretch. I mean, the Pacers have had some bad luck in the past 20 years, but for the most part they've remained a relevant team. Even during the times when it most seemed like they would have to start rebuilding, they were always able to turn their fortune around relatively quickly. Finding ways to acquire multiple different diamonds in the rough between Granger, PG, Oladipo, and even guys like Lance Stephenson. Even this season they've managed to maintain the 3rd seed in a conference that holds strong, title contending teams such as the Raptors, Bucks, 76ers, and Celtics, even without Oladipo.
Edit: to clarify, I understand that Dom is saying that the Pacers are an unlucky team, not a bad team. And I understand that there is depression in getting close every year and still coming up short. But to those points I would say the Pacers have managed to avoid the rebuilding process even when it most seemed like the end was nearing. Especially when you consider than nobody expected the players that helped them avoid the rebuilding process to amount to anything. Further more I personally would much rather be a fan of a team that consistently makes the playoffs, and consistently gives the best teams in the league trouble in the playoffs than a fan of a team like the Knicks. Sure, it may suck to think every year that "this is finally gonna be our year" just to fall short in the conference finals or the finals. But it would be even worse to suck so bad that your only form of hope is draft picks, and even that doesn't work because your front office is so incompetent that they manage to throw any drafting success away before it ever amounts to any wins.
That just makes it worse though. Every time the pacers have hope, something squashes it, and while they are never a bad team, they are never contenders
@@LloydMcD I mean, not really. I wouldn't say they're never contenders. I would just say they happen to run into teams slightly better than them. I mean they did take Miami to 7 games when they had Lebron. If they weren't contenders, they wouldn't have been able to do that. Personally I would much rather be a fan of a team that consistently gives some of the best teams in the league trouble in the playoffs then a team like the Hornets.
You make a fair point. It definitely sucks to be a hornets fan and have your team be awful or mediocre every year. But I think there is more pain in hope. Just because the pacers challenged the heat in 2013/14 doesn’t mean that it doesn’t hurt when they lose. And every time the pacers have hope to build on the future, disaster strikes. Sure, it’s fun to watch the pacers push Lebron to 7, but when they constantly lose, it doesn’t really amount to much.
@@LloydMcD True. But again, is it really as bad as not having any hope at all for the foreseeable future?
I think it comes down to preference. Would be harder to be a fan of a team that makes 4 consecutive super bowls and loses each one, or a fan of a team that is always pretty bad. I think it would be worse to be a fan of the former, but that’s just me. At the end of the day, both teams have no championships
This is my favorite team. We are always competitive.
I think you need to do video about why 14 teams (or 14 picks) passed before Kawhi was taken
Funny imagining a george leonard duo back in the day, and now we'll get to see it this upcoming season
Man why you gotta remind me of this stuff😭
That vídeo was great. Simply put... GREAT. I m a Sixers fan and a LeBron fan, but i ve always cheared for Indy. That video was Spot on.
They made the right moves everytime. That right there makes you Go 😩😩😩🤯🤯☠️
No stars are willing to do what Lebron had to do for Cleveland for so many years anymore, or what Jordan had to do in their early years. Carry their team of decent at best role players. Respect to the two best players of all time.
You left out how they were the 1 seed in 2014 & massively underperformed in the playoffs the season before George injured his leg
Fast forward to now smh... lifes crazy
holy shit watching this vid after the kawhi pg team up on clippers hahaha good shit holmes
Good video fam
Granger, George and Oladipo were the last 3 Pacers to win MIP. Each of them had serious injuries
Bro you go right into ads like it’s nothing😂😂
ive never seen oladipo injury and im hurt
Remember that pg and kawhi duo we dreamed about?
And PG13 and Kawhi are together now
