It would be awesome if you could cut, paste, move and otherwise rearrange slices of audio loops right in the detail view, without having to switch to arrangement view temporarily for all that!

Is there a possibility to resume playing in detail view (so e.g. after changing a note, ableton resumes directly there and doesn't jump to the beginning of the clip or the previous selected position in arrangement view)?
Hi there. Thanks for the comment. You can resume playback from right where you left off by pressing shift+space on your computer keyboard. Hope this helps!
Hover mouse at the top of the clip / device view (mouse pointer will change to a double ended arrow with a line thru it) click and drag up or down to resize 🙂
Hi@@fabiandeleon4636 To change views automatically, you can select “Arrange Clip View Panels Automatically” from the View menu or from the title bar’s right-click(Win) / CTRL-click(Mac) context menu. Live will remember the Clip View arrangement when you open it again in the future.
You would kill the whole 'live' aspect of Ableton if you turn clip view into merely a mixer.... It's much more than that. ......Besides everything's there in that view anyway.
@Bad Boy - Ever tried doing a live set with Logic? Never understood the appeal of Logic..... It's like a no-mans-land between Ableton & ProTools without all the defining aspects of each.
Ableton has been my DAW for 10 years. Keep up the good work! :)

Yes, that's one of the most painful things missing when switching from Bitwig to Ableton :(
I agree! 👍🏾💯

@@Ableton Variations of this particular request have been there for years, if not decades. You should know users want it by now :)
did they change the clip view layout since 11.2? Feels like they did.

@@Ableton thanks a lot, it think on windows it is ctrl+space, but this really helps a lot, thanks!
1:32 there is no option key on Windows PC
It's the Windows Key!
How can I adjust the default size of the clip view or audio view? It always appears almost full screen

@@HeathHolme thanks but how can I make that size default for some smaller size?

@@HeathHolme thanks 🙌🙏
@@fabiandeleon4636 you''re welcome 🙂
Could you guys change your mixer and make more like a traditional DAW like Studio One, Pro Tools and Logic

@1:32 Ctrl _ALT_ E... PC's don't have an Option key.
Still dunno how it works
Logic Pro is better. 😊
The Midi editing is, but that effects rack? Nahh ableton is an effects monster.
Nope. Studio One's workflow(mxing, audio editing) blows away Logic. For composing/arranging....Live is is soooo much simpler and quick.

This is such a subjective topic and comment. What's better for you is not necessarily better for other people. The same can be said for any other daw.
