If the government used wind turbines off peak and peak times produce hydrogen then even that wouldn’t be a problem ! He is quite right the Tories sold off our oil & gas they sold off everything they could they shut down manufacturing and we are paying for it now ? Nuclear isn’t cheep and as for clean ? @@geoffreybexon-cg5cl Here is *proof* that Net Zero would have a net zero effect on the climate: It is true that CO2 levels have been rising steadily since 1960. See the graphs from the Mauna Loa Observatory. But human CO2 emissions have been reduced considerably during this period, and were reduced dramatically during the Covid lockdowns. As you can see from the graphs, these reductions *had absolutely no effect* on the rising CO2 levels. This indicates that anthropological CO2 *is not the cause* of the rising CO2 levels, and reducing CO2 emissions (Net Zero) will also have absolutely no effect!

You’re comment is the most accurate here.
The climate change was argued against by the fossil lobby. Now the fossil lobby are all on board and the change is simply down to “we can make more money by ultimately making everyone more poor.” I’ll add by manufacturing more stuff, digging more resources from the ground and ultimately getting China to do it all using an ever increasing amount of Coal and oil.
It’s profit as you state but it’s also control in as much as even before this wonderful new technology which doesn’t even exist yet comes on board already the controls as to where we can drive and how we can heat our home etc. are being implemented.
I honestly think these people are insane with greed and appear not to care about individuals, societies or the environment. That’s how greed has grabbed them. They’re stark raving mad and we will all suffer.

Something that baffles me - and if it's been convincingly addressed elsewhere, I've obviously missed it - is that if heat exchangers are going to be mandatory (and possibly legally enforceable), how does this affect people living in small flats and houses without gardens/outside areas? Oh, and in the countryside, currently running on oil...
Much the same as attempting to charge your (profiteered) EV from a 10th floor council flat, I suppose.
Someone needs to give vapid, career MP's and green despots a sharp word to remind them that not everyone lives in London NW.
    Or Brighton.

    • @petersimmons3654
      @petersimmons3654 11 месяцев назад

A lot more baffles you than that, perhaps life just baffles you. People in small flats and houses without gardens will have to use buses, which will be4come a lot more frequent once many of the polluting cars are removed. City dwellers genera;;y shouldn't have personal gtransport blocking the roads when parked or driving. If you want space and to drive, live in the countryside. I do, and I've had an EV for eight years now, charged at home usually on offpeak electricty. I agree about the politicians, they are always lerss than able and unsuited to solving the problems created. Why so you think greens are despot though, because we tell you what the cirrent chjance of extinctioon is and warn you need to stop your selfish greed and live as if the future matters, because it does to my grandchildren and greqat grandchildren. Politicans didn;t create global warming, and they resisted being told about it for decades, I know because I have been aware of the environment and the damage we have done for sixty years, and have spent mpost of that time reducing my own contribution to greenhouse gasses, and spreqading the knowledge of the issue. It isn't right or left, it isn't anything to do with politics or politicians, every individual has to act from their own conviction that it is the right thing to do.
Why 'profiteered' EV? I have had an EV for 8 years, and it's saved me loads pof money as well as zero emmissions. I'm a pensioner too, so none of the bollox about only the rich being able to afford them, you have no idea what you're talking about, as usual. Mine cost me £10,000 and was only 2 years old, new it was £30,000, it looked and smelled new. There is now a vibrant second hand market in EVs, new car buyers pay a trifle more than they used to for polluting ICE vehicles, then they trade in for a new one in two years. There are now 10 year old EVs for sale with very useful range still, and with many thousands more charging stations that eight years ago when I bought mine. Stop repeating disinformation that you read somewhere.

Wind has a low energy density and wind power is centuries out of date. Wind farms only exist due to massive taxpayer funded subsidies. They are a colossal waste of taxpayers money and resources. Subsidies should cease.
Solar panels are only economical as a supplement in sunny areas between the 35th parallels. Even in favourable areas there is a major mismatch between peak supply and peak demand. They make no economic sense in cloudy upper latitude areas such as the UK.
The carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuels are largely beneficial. Benefits include increased agricultural yields (main effect) reduced winter heating costs and fewer deaths from hypothermia. This is especially so in cold areas such as the UK.
Net Zero is economically destructive delusional insanity.
It needs to be urgently abandoned.

    • @Angel-002

Solar panel lifespan is 25 years & it takes 6 - 10 years to break even after installation so it's not a quick fix. What about all the solar panels that are now accumulating in waste centres & they don't know what to do with them or how to break them down?? If everyone in the UK had an electric car the power systems we have at the moment wouldn't cope. There's already been threats of blackouts as it is so imagine if everyone was trying to charge their cars!! Then there's the problem of charging facilities & car parking in a lot of the streets in & around our towns & cities. Anyone who lives on a street knows it is not always possible to park in front of your own home & most homes have more than one car!! What about conservation areas that aren't even allowed tv aerials or satellite dishes? These politicians live in a dream world & have no idea how people/families are struggling for just the basics & yet they seem to think that everyone can afford heat pumps, solar panels & get rid of your car & buy an electric vehicle!! She should have asked him about the car batteries & how they themselves are made because the components for them alone are shipped around the world back & forth so are not that eco friendly for a start!! The glacier has receded back to the level it was in 1750. my question to the tour guide was, what caused it to be at that level in 1750?.
Now I don't know what the cause was then, but I do know what didn't cause it, it wasn't deisel cars it wasn't aviation fuel, it wasn't gas central heating. Perhaps the reason now is all the hot wind spewing out of these eco zealots.

Of course. Mostly labour costs. Same in all Western countries. We have no manufacturing anymore. Cheap labour in China or Asia etc. We have to rely on them too much.

      True Elaine.
      But things don't stand still.
Firstly, Britain should not have GIVEN AWAY its manufacturing technology.
Without that Hong Kong and the rest of the world, would not have had the Engineering and capital equipment to do that work.
But things move on. Hong Kong got the work as you say because they had cheaper pay...as you said.
But then THEIR PAY got too much. Look at any shirt now. It's made in Indonesia.
Japan once was a cheap labour source...not now.
Labour is today a small part of a product cost.
What's losing countries production now is the COST of ENERGY.
China is the place things are made NOT for labour cost but because its got virtually FREE POWER.
Wind turbines cost more money to build than they make!! Fact.
That means government funds to put EVERY single turbine up AND keep it running.
That means somewhere else in an economy some one else or something has to make money to create tax in order to pay for them.
That means high taxes on EVERYTHING and EVERYONE.
That makes workers POOR. That makes businesses NOT invest as making anything other than turbines is uneconomic.....and one day soon subsidies on turbines will cease and even that will go bust!!

So that man has been totally captured and does not display any critical thinking. There is so much data out there about EV batteries, the mineral resources etc that he seems to ignore.

Projecting much? You choose to ignore the mineral resources used to make fossil fuels, most people aware of the climate emergency acknowledge these issues

Dude, the whole world went bananas over lockdown, except Sweden. So following blindly 'cos everyone else is is not a reason. The next election might well be a case of pro-EU, pro-gender, pro-climate VS the opposite. If this becomes the case then at least we might be able to spot the difference between the two main parties. But then again, I'm not that optimistic.

It will destroy our health and social outlook. Life expectancy has got greater over the years, it would likely reduce taking measures too fast. Think of yourself and where you might be in 2040. Will you be a pensioner with inadequate heating and local services. Or close to it. Money is only a means of gratitude which means we don't survive on a better system.
