Did you block the air intake and/or isolate the motor/electronics pack? I think venting the motor and electronics is probably a big disadvantage in -20 to -30 degrees since the heatpump use that heat as source. It would be interesting to see a test on that. I am thinking of blocking the lower grille area, but the radar is there so I'll have to get creative. On every fossil car up here you block the grille, a lot of manufacturers actually sell genuine covers for the grille. It certainly helps to keep -50°C windchill off the radiators and out of the "engine bay".
