Doofer, youre hands down the most informative youtuber when it comes to flightsimming. You always create videos about stuff people actually want and need to see. It would be even better if you created a dedicated series , starting with complete knowledge on how to plan flights , different navigation techniques, etc. I know you got older videos that already cover some of it. Would be nice to see them remade as a whole series with the new microphone and progressively explaining those very important topics. Fingers crossed! cheers
Hi Jolly, I'm afraid I won't be going back and remaking any of the content that I've covered previously. I feel that the videos I've produced in my spare time over the past 2 years cover more than enough for a flight simmer to become comfortable with many aspects of flying and have been produced following a sensible, logical progression. My focus moving forward will be to grow the channel and begin to explore new subjects in the same manner that I have with Aviation and Flight Simulation to help introduce a wider audience to these subjects and give them a strong introduction so that if they wish to explore it further, they can.
Thank you for this sir. We are eagerly waiting for the detailed tutorial video in flight. I tried this by myself but I couldn't figure out how it works exactly. It is very challenging and complex. Thank you.
It is a very complex system so learning all of it's features and everything it can do may take some time. Like the GPS unit, you probably don't realise how powerful it is until you REALLY sit down and mess about with it
You make it simple, clear, easy .....what it's complex to understand like the GPS or the powerfull FMC. I'm awaiting for your next uploads. Thanks for sharing and have a nice Christmas time.
Thank you for this intro video, and looking forward to your next videos related to the FMS. All those buttons look intimidating, but I'm sure once you know what you are doing, it isn't that bad after all.
It took me weeks, but I have gone through your whole list of tutorials. I would actually like it if you play through some of the game's missions and lesson in fsx. I think the lessons in fsx learning center specially are really well done and we don't have many of these videos in youtube.
Amazing video as usual...,but when you will do more videos about FMC/FMS can you do something on 737's FMS please. Merry Christmas and happy new year to you :)
I've got a few more Aviation topics lined up after New Year but I'm starting to run out to be honest. But as I said, I can do some aircraft specific tutorials for flight simming.
Question: Can a Cessna 551 Citation II (Single Pilot) change direction six times on autopilot without the pilot's input? Hope to receive your reply ASAP. Thanks.
Great video thank you kind sir! Just one quick question. On EC-135 there's a system called Navigational Management System - NMS. Is it the same as FMS but just for navigation purposes? I'm kinda confused.
Are there any freeware aircraft with FMCs, or installable free FMCs which can be used with freeware aircraft, which also can be kept up-to-date with AIRAC data?
Max John there's EasyFMC and vasFMC. EasyFMC needs to be registered to work fully (it's a paid service) but you can use it even without doing so on some FSX planes. vasFMC should be fully free, although you will need to download AIRAC cycles. EasyFMC uses the default FSX data.
So this is why the osprey crashed so much (in a video related to it someone made a comment that his dad worked on the project and new management fired most of the people working on the software and replaced them)
You keep stating that you must keep Nav, Data upto date. Why when you can't update the ILS or Runway direction numbers as they change periodicly over the years But a good video any way
I believe the AIRAC data which is published needs to be paid for each time it's updated so it's not available to casual simmers however there is a Flight Sim Addon called Navigraph which is a subscription based service which updates your simulator's AIRAC data and also offers other things such as software containing aviation charts
Most pilots use ARINC 424 shorthand for entering lats and longs If I wanted to fly to N35.00 W115.00 I would enter 35N15 The placement of the N between the two numbers tells the FMS that it’s in the northern hemisphere and west of the hundredth meridian. If I wanted to go to N34.00 W98.00 I would type in 3498N. Similar patterns using the placement of E S and W will give you positions everywhere on earth from a simple five digit code.
There are a bunch of different areas that the company needs to think about, with one of the key components being the implementation of an aircraft maintenance software. There are a bunch of different benefits that you get for using aviation maintenance software. Click here for more details - www.howtocrazy.com/four-key-benefits-of-aircraft-management-software/

Excellent, looking forward to see more about the FMS
A super tutorial Doofer...as always a simple and clear explanation.
Glad you liked it :)
Very good. I don't want to wait til the end of the year to learn more
These are very helpful RUclipss. You're doing an excellent job and I look forward to the next year.
That's very kind of you to say Dan, thank you!

You did a video about me.
Because you're just so important!
Doofer911 Nice video mate. Can you please do a video on Cessna mixture controls and the trim? Cheers
FMS, you deserve your own video.
Extremely interesting and informative, thank you !
Thank you! I am still having problems with FMC/FMS/MCDU programming. Looking forward to your next specific videos.
Yeah I can't wait to produce them and learn more about CDU's and how much they can actually do.
Thank you for this intro video, and looking forward to your next videos related to the FMS. All those buttons look intimidating, but I'm sure once you know what you are doing, it isn't that bad after all.
Yeah, like anything, it's easy once you know what it all means and how it all works.

Good job. Nice explanation.
Very good video and channel
Thank you, glad you liked the video :)
Thank you for all the info.
Amazing video as usual...,but when you will do more videos about FMC/FMS can you do something on 737's FMS please. Merry Christmas and happy new year to you :)
Yep, I'll be doing videos on the two CDU's I featured in this video, the A320 and B737
Doofer911 thanks :)
Awesome video as always! Waiting for your detailed videos on this..
I can't wait to do them!

You're welcome, hope you have a great time over the holiday season as well :)
Thank you so much for this helpful videos.
You're welcome :)
Nice video as always! Hope you find some other topics to talk about. ;)
Thank you!
I've got a few more Aviation topics lined up after New Year but I'm starting to run out to be honest. But as I said, I can do some aircraft specific tutorials for flight simming.
Doofer911 what about the Aerosoft Twin Otter?
Question: Can a Cessna 551 Citation II (Single Pilot) change direction six times on autopilot without the pilot's input? Hope to receive your reply ASAP. Thanks.
I'm X Plane 10 Flyer..... Thanks for understand about FMS or FMC
Glad I could help :)
Excellent.
Great video thank you kind sir! Just one quick question. On EC-135 there's a system called Navigational Management System - NMS. Is it the same as FMS but just for navigation purposes? I'm kinda confused.
I've not heard of it before but that sounds correct.
THANKS!! Wil try this with my 767 Pro.
Nice video!!
Then, see you next year!!
great video mate.
Glad you liked it!
THX 4 THE INFO !
Well done, thanks.
You're welcome!

Well, freeware aircraft don't tend to have a good FMS system.
Would be cool
To see the maintenance side of this
OK I think I'm ready to take that test now...
Great video. Can you make one explaining things in the FMC.You only did the video
Yeah as I said towards the end of this video, I'll be doing more detailed videos in the future.
thanks
Well, this video should teach me a thing or too. Can you do Overspeeding or how elevators work? Ty.
It's not something I'm considering at the moment but I'd suggest if you'd like to know about it, you can conduct some research on it yourself.
Okay, I plan to be a pilot one day. Thanks.
Comparing Airbus to Boeing FMC, which do you prefer to use? Between A320 and 737, do you have a preference which aircraft you prefer to fly?
I'd have to say the 737, you just feel a little bit more involved when flying it.
So this is why the osprey crashed so much (in a video related to it someone made a comment that his dad worked on the project and new management fired most of the people working on the software and replaced them)
Thank you
Can you make a video on Navigational Aids such as VOR, NDB or ILS?
+Peyton Already have done, please check through my older videos :)
Thank you!
thank you sir 😁
you Gained a new sub
Why did the flight number disappear when you've entered starting and destination airports?
Airports should be entered first, followed by the Flight Number.
NIce stuff mate :)
Thanks, glad you liked it!
You keep stating that you must keep Nav, Data upto date. Why when you can't update the ILS or Runway direction numbers as they change periodicly over the years But a good video any way

No problem!
you viewed a flight simulator game while explaining on the beacon light...what is the name of the flight simulation game sir?
This is Microsoft Flight Simulator (Steam Edition)
Doofer911 thanks alot
Where can download the simulator?
wow nice!
Glad you liked it! :)
We always call them "Line Select Keys" when we design them. The pilots may call them something else.
We call them the same.
Another example of machines taking our jobs!
Please do something like a airbus A321 or A320 complete walkthrough
Will be coming next year as I said at the end of this video.
Doofer911 Nice man. Thank you so much!
Great
guys , what the difference between the CDU and FMS ! ?
Good
can you do a what is n1
Jet engines and N1 values explained here: ruclips.net/video/JlLjRoJLlJM/видео.html
Where is the next one?
Check my flight sim playlist for more videos :)
what airbus are you using?
Aerosoft Airbus A320
Cool
So no videos mean no streams?!
No streams either I'm afraid.
Is there any mods that u can give me for the flight system for fsx
Nope but there's a lot of Freeware available for FSX.
ok thx
why are certain alphabets having boxes around them ?
North, East, South, West
N(orth) S(outh) W(est) E(east) used when manually entering waypoint coordinates fx N57°28′18″ W4°13′31″ into the FMC .
Most pilots use ARINC 424 shorthand for entering lats and longs
If I wanted to fly to N35.00 W115.00 I would enter 35N15
The placement of the N between the two numbers tells the FMS that it’s in the northern hemisphere and west of the hundredth meridian.
If I wanted to go to N34.00 W98.00 I would type in 3498N.
Similar patterns using the placement of E S and W will give you positions everywhere on earth from a simple five digit code.
Tbh, they look like that they are used for texting your friends and loved ones. 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
