The big names (Samsung, Xiaomi) have been led astray by making top-end tablets bigger and bigger. Y700 is probably the only one that still has size under 9 inch while packing top-end SoC in it.
I want like S21 or smaller size but still have same feature like s23 ultra... I don't really like big phone, same like Newest s9 and s8 ultra that's too big.

@@iwearLingerie the y700 2023 version is a snapdragon 8+. that's optimized for gaming. plus the refresh rate of ipad mini 6 is only at 60hz while the y700 is 120hz. so that's already a no brainer for me.

Sure, the mini 6 might be the best at handling heavy games, no doubt, but that high refresh and high touch sampling rate really makes a difference. Big, BIG respect for at least mentioning rhythm games. I was currently looking for a good tablet for those kinds of games and it looks like I already found a perfect tablet for it.
I hope Lenovo releases this in the USA. It checks all the boxes for what I want in a tablet and there's really no competition in this space that I can find.
I imported last year's version from Hong Kong. Yes, it's the Chinese version. But it has Google Play and does everything I need. There are maybe 3 or 4 Chinese apps that I just ignore. And it's by far faster than any other 8 inch tablet available in the USA.

As well as the usual stuff, one of my main use cases for this is a bit niche (emulation in portrait mode with a physical controller), but yeah I can hide or ignore the Chinese apps that can't be uninstalled. I'll probably agonize over it a couple more days and just order it. I mean, the only other contender might be a new Samsung Galaxy Tab, but even the smallest one is bigger than I want and starts at 800 bucks. Absurd.
Oh, they just released the global version. It's the 2023 version with the snapdragon green 1, so faster than the one that I have. I'm thinking about upgrading since it's the global version.
I have the 2022 Y700 and it is very nice for playing games and watching movies. The size is just right i can prop on table or hold it while in the sofa. I wish they have a sim or global version though.

The tldr was that OTA updates are subjective, and there are some legitimate reasons these days to intentionally stay on older versions of Android (so that your device can literally have more functionality at the cost of slightly less security... What a strange world).

Rocking the Lenovo tab p11 right now. Primarily got it for watching movies and yt at work, but it also works well with Xbox remote play. Doesn't handle fortnite mobile and team fight tactics well. So I can't wait for this to be an overall upgrade for my media entertainment consumption, and handle gaming if I want to.
I saw a review of the Lenovo extreme. Way too big for my needs but very powerful and 8 speakers is awesome. But this Lenovo Legion is right up to my wants and needs, but more compact. I don't see it on Amazon yet. I am thinking of buying this. Good review 👍🙂👏👏
The 2022 version very much can handle any games at highest graphic. If you onto more heavy games like switch emulator why not take the 2023 version if you can afford it.
The 2023 version actually costs 339-340$ in china 🧐 AliExpress is still selling it for way too much, i will myself wait until it costs at least 350$ - 360$

This model and its predecessor both support Google Play Service , and Google Play Store is install-able from the 3rd-party APKPure app store. English is available in the system languages. I also bought the non-global version and consider it fine to use all non-China-exclusive features so far. And, in-app purchase on Google Play store also works fine on Lenovo's tablet (non-global version). No need to root the system, nor need to do special cracking. Most of AOSP features are supported at the Android system level that are not affected by highly customized ZUI. Are you looking for some features that are really not available in the non-global version? :)
That's a bummer that they downgraded the charger. I guess it was too pro consumer to put two usb ports on a charging brick, because screw mother earth!

Cos i dont like playing it on my s7 tablet because of the poor quality even when set to all max. I got mine yesterday. After deleting the pre-installed and installing a launcher and keyboard, it's actually really good. I just need a case and screen protector. A global version would help streamline some features and experiences I expect from the likes of samsung.
Hey, do you play MOBAS? I am aware the tablets cut a fair bit of screen real-estate off when playing Moba games but they installed a feature on this tablet that allows the player to see a good amount of screen? If you know what I mean.

The design makes so much sense to a gamer. Love the bypass charging feature most of all.

Got it last week. Using it in LATAM and most services work. Easy to install Google Play store services
i will still take mini 6 anyday but hats pff to lenovo for this beautiful tech

This model and its predecessor both support Google Play Service , and Google Play Store is install-able from the 3rd-party APKPure app store.
English is available in the system languages. I also bought the non-global version and consider it fine to use all non-China-exclusive features so far.
And, in-app purchase on Google Play store also works fine on Lenovo's tablet (non-global version).
No need to root the system, nor need to do special cracking.
Most of AOSP features are supported at the Android system level that are not affected by highly customized ZUI.
Are you looking for some features that are really not available in the non-global version?

I got mine yesterday. After deleting the pre-installed and installing a launcher and keyboard, it's actually really good. I just need a case and screen protector. A global version would help streamline some features and experiences I expect from the likes of samsung.
Hey, do you play MOBAS? I am aware the tablets cut a fair bit of screen real-estate off when playing Moba games but they installed a feature on this tablet that allows the player to see a good amount of screen?

@@sleepy1171it only supports a couple of Chinese games and league of legends mobile. You can use other 3rd party software to achieve that tho

@@nunnallylelouch6704 yes it does just like legion laptops for charging but you need to connect the tablet to an external display to activate pc mode.
I have a Tab S7 and the gaming performance was ALWAYS awful (thinking hard about buying an iPad Air 5) maybe it's because Samsung put a lot of useless things and cap the processor, my GT Neo 3 performance is perfect and stable, Genshin at 90fps
I like to understand why it is that a company like Lenovo only releases this item in one country? Are they not interested in making money why would they not release it in other countries. But just China?

ill wait for Snapdragon 8th Gen 2. 9inch tablet is good.. i like my ipad mini, but cant install firefox addon (for ublock/pop up addons) which doesnt work well on ipad mini browser.
