Hi Mark, did you fish this year? The full Tay system is well down on rod caught salmon this season, unfortunately there seems to have be a trend in last few seasons. Hopefully it’ll be a better season next year. Tight lines 🎣
No it was a few years ago. The beat had so many rods on it on the day I was there I complained to the factor about it. There must have been circa 16 rods on the beat that day. He in turn offered me a free days fishing on the beat which I declined. Any nice video. All the best
I’ve fished the beat around 6 or 7 seasons now and can assure you there is no more than 8 rods on at one time. The beat is over 2 miles long so plenty room to fish with anglers swapping pools every 2hrs. Mind also the beat was bought over by Glensprosen Estate not that long ago and Gary became head ghillie, maybe you are referring to before then. All the best for the new season 🎣
