Nothing else compares to the architecture there. The view on I-90/94 East at dusk on a clear day is the best. You can still see each individual building and the lights add an additional touch.
I love the Kennedy Expressway more than Dan Ryan! Mainly because Kennedy is elevated, so you can always see the skyline from very far away, while on Dan Ryan, it's not elevated, so seeing the skyline from far away is a little hard. The skyline just looks so much better from Kennedy Expressway. I live so far away from downtown, so I never get a view of the skyline. But what a great skyline!

The John Hancock isnt in Downtown Chicago to you? The water tower isnt downtown to you? Whats your definition of downtown? Lsd × roosevelt × the south branch × the main branch?

This is my favorite view of Chicago. And I love it's the view when coming in from the airport cause it's like the city is welcoming you.

This drive was lite. Normally Chicago has the worst traffic in the world. Not surprising because it is the nest of the interstate system.
