I tried doing a pants to skirt but for some reason the middle seam looks like it’s splitting. I tried placing a straight stick with a cross one but it still stretches a little open. How do you prevent that?

thank you for this awesome tutorial! im planning to upcycle a pair of jeans into a maxi skirt as well, tho it's for my friend. problem is, her waist is slightly bigger than mine so is there a way to also alter the waist size while making it into the skirt? (basically widening it instead of making it tighter than before)

You can make an insert in the center back seam or the side seams from fabric that is trimmed when converting jeans into a skirt
