When I first got my Bernina 350 a couple of years ago, there were NO good detailed videos like yours. I'd check every couple of weeks then months - regularly - but nada. And now lookie here! Here you are! This was a great video (they all seem to be). Thanks so much!
Thanks. Hey I have a quick question for you. It's hard to know how to exactly line up a button that's fallen off e.g. pants - not to mention how hard it is to keep the button in place (especially if small button and not so small fingers!). Any suggestions? My Bernina foot #18 is the older style that doesn't have rubber on it, though I know I can buy that part to slip onto mine, like a glove, for about $6.00. It might have been you who mentioned glue (sorry - it's a day later and I saw many videos yesterday!). Glue won't gum up the machine? If I close the pants zipper to line up button best I can (to where it used to be before falling off), won't that make it hard to sew?? Thanks again!
HeirloomCreations Ugh - one more question - I'm sorry!!: I keep breaking needles. I don't know why - I seem to be doing everything I'm supposed to (I finally called my Bernina dealer to ask the questions). My best guess is that perhaps the needle's slipping when I start to go faster using the peddle. I don't have the rubber sole kind on the foot. Do you think that might be why? It happens so quickly that I have no way of determining how the needles keep breaking! :( Thank you again!
Thank you for the info. I have a Bernina 730 Artista and when I look in the manual it says to use the 60 Button Sew Program. To go to the main screen and choose 60. So dutifully go to the screen. Push the down arrow to progress through the number and what??? There is no 60???? It only goes to 31. So I look in a variety of other places and I can't find the 60 program. Any ideas??? I'm very new to this beautiful machine. So perhaps I just missed something. Thank you, Judy
Hi, I have just bought a 350 SE (special edition). How and where do I find this button sew-on program? Is it true that foot #9 (darning) can do buttons too? I haven't been able to find a video of it doing this. Can you help? Thanks!

Holy schnikey! I had no idea that the shank toe on the #18 foot flipped up! Thank you so much for showing that!

Hi, Yes I used the Bernina software to auto echo quilt the embroidered tree.
Thanks so much! Solved my problem right away.
Hi Sheri - Thanks! I digitized the tree myself. :)
wow this is so cool! I wonder if I can do it with my Brother sewing machine, do you know?
Yes, Bother has a button sew on foot. ~Sara~
Another great video. Where did you get the tree embroidery design?

How do you sew on buttons, using the #18 Bernina foot, for buttons with a wire hook on the back and no holes through the button?
Hi - Hot dog! Glad we could help! ~Sara~
Did you digitize the echo quilting too?
Smart Girl!
