I’ve been using this and a few other Dragon Ball Z OST to sleep. Strangely been into DBZ 2000s figure collecting, rewatching the show, playing the games, and learning his art style again. A couple months ago I hoped and prayed Akira would live some more years, that man inspired me and brought me comfort with his work. I enjoyed watching re runs with family. I was listening to some more OST while walking, I found out tonight of his passing. The spirit has a way of knowing when someone important is gone ❤️ RIP Akira Toriyama

I don't have time to rediscover all of it, but the passed week I have been collecting lots of his promotional artworks for Dr slump, looking through Dragon Quest and Dragon Ball art books for inspiration etc before heard the news
@@justaguy2732 He’s created so much that there’s so many ways to collect, that’s amazing Dr.Slump and Dragon Quest are really great. I started Chrono trigger some months ago, Akira’s art style is wonderful in video games
I unfortunately did not get to enjoy Dragon Ball as much as I wanted to as a kid, so for the past year I spent time watching everything with a friend, from DB to Super, all the movies... just watched Super Broly for the first time last month and I can safely say I have been a huge fan ever since.
It may not hit as hard compared to the majority who grew up with DB, but it still hits hard for me as someone who has got to experience everything this man created for the first time recently.
Catching up on the Super manga and watching Super Hero eventually is going to be rather emotional. What a legacy this brilliant man left on this planet.
Rest well and Fly High, Toriyama.
Dragon Ball is one of those shows that you can enjoy with any generation and it will still make you laugh, smile and give you a sense of adventure.

When I first saw Dragon Ball, it immediately captivated me not just the epic moments and the intense battles but also the life lessons and emotions it made me feel and taught me. Teaching me to always improve and have hope even though everything might seem dark and impossible to overcome. After losing hope in most things in my life, Kami house brings back the warmer memories of my childhood being with my brother and experiencing the world of Dragon Ball together. Thank you for shining a light into my darkness with this playlist
there have been many times in my life when I have felt hopeless. I have been homeless and fought my way back to a normal life only to lose it again. I hated myself and hated my own weakness and incompetence. I was pathetic and wallowed in self-pity and despair for far too long. so trust me when i say this. things may get better or they may get worse but that doesn't matter. what matters is how you deal with it. maybe like me you hate whatever hypothetical god may exist or maybe you have something worth holding onto. regardless the answer is always the same. fight or die. those are your only two options. so fight with honor for the glory of your own soul and nothing else so that on the day you meet your maker you can look them in the eyes with pride and tell them how you really feel.
do that and maybe when that time comes ill be there to throw a couple shots and choice words of my own at them.
make the universe fight for every grain of sand that slips from your hourglass until your time runs out.

This brought me some momentary peace, as someone who has been struggling to pay bills, trying to be the best father i can be for my daughter, to control my temper, i'm always overthinking and overreacting, i want to raise a happy child and be at peace with my family, to not be worried all the time...
This video just brought me that peace for a moment 😢 i just went back to my childhood...
I took a nap while my daughter is resting, and there i was. I flew with Goku again through the clouds, i spent some time with him speaking over the shadow of a tree while looking at the fish swimming and jumping on a clear blue lake, i asked him how i could be a great father and show a great example to my daughter and family... I couldn't and still can't hold my tears when he said nothing, and just shook my hand, smiled and simply said "you have what it takes, just try your best, aim to be better everyday, in moments of anger and stress, take a breath and look around, the world is a beautiful place, take small steps, one at a time, and soon you'll reach the top of the ladder where we'll be waiting for you" he said that to me while ascending to the sky, and that's when i woke up, right when the tears started to fall, when the last image of him before departing was his signature thumbs up and smile.

I love this music, I can still remember when dragonball was first being introduced to America on CW/Fox all those years ago, with Saban and Funimation, waking up on Sunday morning and seeing Dragonball Z for the first time, on weekly....seeing that big pink house and all the characters, wondering what was goin' on....and that strange alien coming down...."Kakarot...you are a saiyan...I'm Radditz, your big brother..."...and now after all these years look how far it's come...so many memories....RIP...Akira, and bless dragonball....
