With the recent news of Akira Toriyama’s passing, this is something that brings me peace. May we all treasure his world he left behind
I came back here for that reason as well. But I don't know if it will ever hit the same again.
The whole world talked about his death, news sites from various countries, the entire reddit, even the subreddits unrelated to anime/manga.
He was truly a legend and will be remembered forever. I feel like he deserves a statue of him in japan because even the big mangakas like Oda and Kishimoto respect Toriyama so much and were inspired by him.
They even stated it themselves.
I couldn't have saud it better myself.

Toriyama has truly raised a generation of fans with all the amazing stuff that he has put out, I grew up watching and reading through his work and I loved every single moment of it. From the original dragonball to dragonball Z and so forth, he has always ended up making stuff for us as people to enjoy. Rest in peace to this legend, may he rest well in the afterlife after all that he's done for us. He will be missed and never forgotten. Shall his legacy be carried on for the future and shall his memory be carried on within ours

I think its amazing how we all watched a goofy kid and a 16 year old girl looking for herself her dream boy grow up and obtain the power of a god and meet so many people along the way. Dragon ball as a whole (original series, dbz kai, GT and super) are a true masterpiece and will always have a special spot reserved in my heart. :')

Dragon ball and dbz was a masterpiece but imo things have gotten stale. The plot is becoming so redundant now. “Oh a stronger person appears out of nowhere and Goku has a new transformation” idk Nothing has topped the original dragon ball for me
DB & DBZ are legendary. The rest suck, in my opinion. These kids growing up on Super just don't enjoy the original Dragon Ball. Makes me sad.
I've enjoyed Super for what it is. You can't deny that it was amazing to have new DB coming out weekly, reminded me of being a kid again running home to catch Toonami after school.

It’s crazy that we all watched Dragon Ball at different ages and stages of our lives but experience the same mixed feelings of sadness and happiness when hearing these songs. Dragon Ball was the first anime I ever watched all the way through. If I never watched Dragon Ball I would be a completely different person than I am today.

I just got into dragon ball at 15 years old. My first series i watched was dragon ball super! And now I'm finished watching dragon ball super and og dragon ball and I'm watching dragon ball Z. I'm enjoying the world of dragon ball and currently my favourites are gohan, goku and vegeta and well every character is my favorite lol. I have seen little bits of dragon ball when I was little but I haven't really gotten into it, I knew goku and vegeta and the super saiyan, ultra instinct all that jazz but never really got into it until now. Please don't get mad at me for this but the reason I got more into dragon ball is because fortnite. Dragon ball is now my favourite thing like ever now!

I was introduced to dragon Ball by my father I watched the originals on TV every day it came on then when we had enough money we bought a DVD player so we could relive all of our memories together I'm 15 now and me and my father sit together everyday and watch dragon ball all the way through dragon Ball super I miss my childhood
