Shane Canterbury I feel like it would be easier to not write about their faith and plainly say “Jesus I need you for my survival” than to just say nothing about their faith at all.
This song invites you to come sit down in a comfy chair by the river-in the beginning. And then takes you down the river on an amazing adventure in a tube. And that, friends, is life.

I don't believe that NTB considers themselves a "Christian band" per se. I believe that they consider themselves a rock band that are Christians. In my opinion, that is one of the reasons why they are better than any other "Christian band," or rock band for that matter. I've seen them play in a bar in Kansas City a few years ago.

A lot of the best bands that lean towards faith based music don’t call themselves Christian, though I have to say that needtobreathe seem to be able to straddle that fine line between Christian and mainstream better than most! It’s like they are universally accepted by the mainstream and CCM and that rarely happens!
Love this group so much. There music always has a timing in my life. Lost my grandpa today. He was good man, 50 years has a pastor, 69 years of marriage, 5 kids, 15 grandkids and 10 great. RIP
This song is AWESOME for people like me who battle addiction.ive been clean 3 yrs Oct.10, 2020 but this year has been tough. But survival through Jesus has kept my head above water.with Jesus I will not drown. I'M A SURVICOR!!!

This song takes a serious subject of needing Jesus to survive but just having fun musically with it. Just superb. WHO AM I is just so deep but still extremely catchy. A good problem to have to love both songs.

Heard this song for the first time this Sunday morning. The words that caught my attention were I’ve got the devil on my throat. Immediately every other lyric had my attention.
